oh man, i was surprised by a little package on my doorstep today.
the fuzzy logic PID I got off ebay is here. it does have the mounting bracket and condition it looks practically brand new, not even a scratch, though i did see some dirt and dust on it, so it probably was used at some point. for the 60 bucks I paid, I think i scored myself a nice ebay deal on this one!
On the other hand, some initial impressions, the quality of this thing is definitely a level above. I mean, for something that retails for $345, you'd hope right? And size-wise, it's that standard 1/32 size like my other controller and the typical auber and cal and the e5gc and all those other 1/32 units out there. Apparently this thing was made in the usa too, my other controller from the same brand wasn't though...
However, it's long. Really long. My other controllers were already an inch longer than the aubers, but these are like, 2 inches longer. I think it will still fit in the cases I have, but I might have to skip the circuit breaker and just go with a fuse, as there's not going to be any room to spare on this thing. I'm really excited to get this one built, it should answer a lot of questions I've had regarding whether there's some 'holy-grail' of controllers we've still yet to reach or something.
Hopefully some more updates later when I get this built...
