next generation e-nails?

I picked up a smart dabb about a week ago and have been loving it. I have tried several of the D nails out there and just liked the simple look and also the price point. I paid around 260.00 for mine and feel it is worth every penny. The nail is a high quality titanium and the temp holds solid once warmed up. It takes maybe 2 mins to get to my preferred 700 degree temp. I leave it on for hours at a time and there is never any heat spread into my glass, It all stays in the unit. The glass dome that comes with it is great for carbing as all you need to do it cup your hand over it or use a pad of paper or something similar and it will vape every last morsel you toss in it at a lower temp and gives really tasty hits. The heat goes from 850 all the way down to 400 on the analog adjustable unit. It also holds the temp quite well and can handle several back to back dabs and not fluctuate in heat a bit. When it is time to clean all I do is turn the nail to 850 until it has burned off any residue and then turn back down to my favored 700 degree range. There is also no worry of ever going over the max temp and burning the unit out.

I have also gotten to use the portable coffee cup they make and it is amazing. I have one ordered and on the way as it is a must for doing dabs on the road. The best part is it looks just like a coffee cup and so is total incognito when sitting out. It also has a very high quality nail in it and the company stands behind everything they make. All their units come with a 36 month guarantee and from what I can tell you will never need it as these things are beasts. I know you can get a DIY D nail, but if you want a sexy and simple unit that will perform 24/7, then you need to get one of these.

I don't see why that would be terrible. I mean the electronics are simple enough and it's not like it's part of the vapor path or anything. Attach it to a quality nail and you should be good to go assuming all the parts work and it was assembled properly.

In fact I'd like to see more of these!
I just want to hear someone's review before I purchase one but I agree with you. I think it's only a matter of time before more of them pop up on Ali/dhgate

Those china enails are interesting. I love fire as much as the next guy but sometimes busting out a torch is a little much. I see little reason for the US made enails to cost as much as they do...am I wrong about that? My only real worry would be safety I guess with regards to the electronics....but china makes all sorts of goods safely right? At any rate I am intrigued...but I am not gonna be the guinea pig.

On those Chinese ones, are you supposed to wrap the coil around your own nail, or is their a special e-nail? The thing that would concern me on these is the strength of the coil wire.

Jeesh---how do I pass on that Ali express e-nail setup? At that price I'm not afraid of "losing" money if I discover the e-nail gig isn't for me. Lot easier to swallow a $136 loss than $400-750 like some of the US made ones.

Good point, but why would you want to pass on it then?

By all means.....DON'T pass it up. Snag one and report back!

@syrupy basically you will need to find a nail most likely adjustable Ti domeless or custom quartz that will fit the inner diameter of the coil. I will see if it says.

edit:
Heating section

2.2x4.2mm 3x3mm 3.4x3.4mm 3.5x3.5m 4x4mm

Heating coil ID
8mm~40mm

Heating ring height

10mm~200mm

Voltage

15V~380V

Wattages

200W~3000W

Build-in thermocouple power

With or without J/K thermocouple

Lead wire

500/1000/1200/1500/2000mm

those are the specs. you can fit a nail with an od of 40mm

So it sounds like I couldn't get away with using my HE domeless. I noticed the SmartDabb has one included. Do you think it's worth the extra $100?

honestly I dont umderstand the smartdabb nail.... I think its actually a coil. but I dont wanna speak out of place. so the smartdabb operates in a totally diffrent way than most of these induction enails. they get a coil hot which heats the nail. I think the smartdab works in the same manner as an ecig coil, but it lacks a wick to foul up and is made of ti instead of SS.

@Deadshort480 has a smart dab I believe maybe he can chime in and correct me if im wrong.

The Smart Dabb has a rod that runs through the center of the TI Nail. This give a nice even heat from within the nail. to the bowl and so the heat is not all outside the unit and in turn lets it hold a steady temp even when using it continuously. Also they offer a 36 month warranty on all units and from my interaction with Josh at Smart Dabb and the local shop that sells them, I am completely confident in the product and its quality.

excelent! I was checking out videos, it looks like a domeless, but the center shaft is solid so the dab goes around the nail. I think its worth the extra scratch now cause its so much safer!

FYI, it's also looks available from the manufacturer's web site for $259.94 USD (including shipping).

It's going to be a long week, of trying NOT to buy this. I will probably lose. Oh well. :)

That is the non adjustable one. You want the adjustable analog system. It goes from 400 to 850 degrees. The adjustable go for around 340 as low as 260 in price. Based on my research when it was time to buy =) They warranty any of their units regardless of where you buy it.
