These Sic nails have some amazing heat retenition abilities http://www.d-nail.com/v/vspfiles/analysis/SiC.jpg mine just shipped ! can't wait till I get it! happy 420 everyone!
I wish they made this for barrel coils! These Sic nails have some amazing heat retenition abilities http://www.d-nail.com/v/vspfiles/analysis/SiC.jpg mine just shipped ! can't wait till I get it! happy 420 everyone!
can anybody familiar with PID devices help me understand what the different values mean and why the Aubers Instruments parameters are different from the Divine Tribe and Terps Nail parameters and why Aubers would give a special manual to change one of the parameters for 20 millimeter 100 watt coil
I feel the exact same thing, but trying to stop buying every new toy that pops up every week. Terpz has been working great with my direct injection pukinbeagle 20mm.I wish they made this for barrel coils!
Or maybe I just need to stop bitching and get a flat coil lol
Make sure to let us know how you like it! I've heard good things
And I saw the advertisement that it is both conduction and convection, how does convection work on this, because it seems as though we are putting our concentrates on hot plates (conduction). I am really thinking about this nail or just get a HE with sapphire insert. I just want to try and see what the difference between sapphire and Quartz is.What's the advantage to using the convection shelf (sapphire disk) over the SiC dish for dabbing?
Here's a interesting bit of info I found on conduction vs convectionWhat's the advantage to using the convection shelf (sapphire disk) over the SiC dish for dabbing?
So, this probably counts as pretty next-gen hah:
While I do make my own nail products, I've been considering reselling these at a lower price point than my own products, just because they're pretty cool for the money, but figured you'd all like to see if you weren't aware! The RDK-300....
Here's a interesting bit of info I found on conduction vs convection
Rather than heating the cannabis matter directly with a heating element, convective vaporization uses an electronic mechanism to heat air. Once the air reaches a certain temperature, the hot air actually heats the cannabis flower and/or concentrate, extracting the THC and turning the material into a vapor without charring the substance.
Of the two types, convective vaporization is the best for your body. The convective method avoids the charring associated with nearly every other method, meaning that convective vaporization creates the purest form of activated, consumable cannabis. edit: also there's a post in the forums on this subject http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/what-are-the-benefits-of-convection-vs-conduction.432/
Auber RDK-300, on their website they say 220v coils avail., I think most of these units have variable voltage input, you need to match the coil to what your input voltage is?Just having options at this point is nice
It's up on their website if you want more details on it:

I much prefer the look of this one over the 200, that one looked kind of cheap especially with the 80's style computer graphics on the front. This one is more stylish and IMO will look better on your table. Auto-power off is something I haven't seen yet in the cheaper e-nails and should be a plus for some people.
I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty sure the only effect of the convection heating is more even heating of the disk. You're still dabbing onto the disk itself which would be conduction. I think you'd see more differences from the properties of the materials themselves on the dab hit compared to convection vs conduction.
Have you noticed any differences in dabbing between on the two different surfaces?
The sic already has very even dish temps without the sapphire and the taste is amazing but I prefer using the sapphire insert because it's healthier for you and taste a little better but not by much. It really shines when your smoking good melts/ bubble and more delicate materials/ For those I'd use the sapphire every time For Bho both taste about the same although the sapphire is very pretty to look at when it's vaping it. I don't think it can be considered conduction since the material is not actually touching the sic dish. Also the sapphire is pretty easy to clean just soak in iso scrape and and stick in infiniti at 950 for 5-10 mins and it looks brand new overall both are great the sapphire is great for hash and the sic taste amazing on it's own.
