New vaporizer after 4 years of MFLB

Thanks for the great feedback!

I already knew I can replace the Solo battery myself; just don’t think it's something I'd risk. Anyway 2 years+ before I have to worry about it is good enough I think.

Even though I'm pretty inexperienced (only tried the MFLB) I think I enjoy "harsher" hits. Of course I enjoy low temp vaping as well and want my new toy but big/harsh hits are my priority. (I assumed the Solo was better in this department since it looks like a tank)

I use my MFLB without the glass stem because it feels more up close and direct so I don't think the short stem on the AA will be a problem.

On a time-free occasion I'd like to lengthen my sessions to the max. The fact that I can gradually increase temp makes the sessions longer right? If so the Solo has got 2 more temp settings, does that make its sessions potentially longer? How many draws would you say you can squeeze per temp setting?

Savingmoney is just as important as saving my lungs so these types of sessions, where you draw for a while on the lower temps, get medicated, and forget about it only to then pick it up later and still manage to squeeze some hits out of your bowl on the higher temps, is what I’m aiming for.

Even though I can still change my mind (done so quite a few times already) I think I’m pretty much settled on Solo vs Air. Since people claim they’re so similar I’m inclined to waste a little more and get the Air, because I think I’d be brave enough to bust it out on the street as opposed to the Solo.

Either or is a great choice.
Good decision man.

I friggen love my Solo!

As others have said; she is more suitable as cordless at home unit , when stealth is a factor the Air reigns supreme, looking exactly like a fancy Ecig.

Stealth is somewhat important even though I already got the MFLB.

Would you say the Air delivers as a cordless home unit as well?

Not as dense from other people who have compared the units.

I can tell you that one of our members....
@Bravesst is a hardcore Air fan, he bought the Solo...

He is LOVING the Solo...

The Solo is just mysterious man!!
Some kinda Magic in there fosho.

I almost want to talk you out of the Air!
Lol

If it were me....
I'd keep your LB for ultimate stealth...

PlanetVape makes a "Stealth Stem" can drop it in a cup, like a plastic cup with a straw.

If you are familiar with the Vaporcup, it will look just like that.
But having the horsepower of the solo.

And dooood, if you wanna milk that bong, Solo is amazing at it.

Check pg5 or 6 of Solo thread, then @biohacker 's vids, then @nondarb milkin too.

Should be loads of vapor porn on YouTube.

I might be going solo after all!
I’m looking at some retailers.

Vaposhop has got the 2014 edition of the Solo. I’ve read that older versions couldn’t be used while charging; does the 2014 edition have that defect? They’re priced 179euros on Vaposhop which sounds a bit steep (no I'm not Scrooge McDuck) when compared to some other places but they’re offering a 15% discount.
I’ve got a simple 30 cm Dude Bong (no percolators or nothing) with 14.5mm, it’s collecting dust at the moment and I’m considering buying some glass to spice things up a bit.

P.s.: What are the difusers/stems (?) that come with the Solo? Short and Long? Which one is missing from the orignal box, the short one, the long one or the curved one?

While your bong is basic...
Try her powered by the Solo.

The vapor gets rather thick.

That's the question. Is it even worth it? (considering my bong is basic)

Vaposhop does not have any glass on its webstore. They have the GonG adapters tho... Which one should I get? If any..
I might consider a D020-D later on.

Edit
Do I even need the GonG adapter for my bong or does it work with the steam attached to it?

He also owned a Solo before and sold it because of his Air love affair.... he has posts explaining why he preferred the Air over the Solo, and my thoughts were opposite.

Thanks! Only reason I found this thread was because of your tag. I did move on from the Solo and am no longer an owner, I just couldn't deal with the airflow any longer and ended up using the Mighty every time instead and a friend was looking for a Solo so it worked out perfectly!

You get one straight stem, and one bent stem. If you want to connect it to your water pipe, you will need to purchase a GonG of necessary size from Planetvape.ca. They have an extensive Solo attachment section. I would go with the PVHES GonG Regular (not shorty)

I might be moving to Canada someday, until then I'll prefer to keep buying from European stores. Any of you have any idea where I can order a bubbler from?

Is there a 2015 and 2016 versions of the Solo? Or is the 2014 version the last update to come out?

Would you say the Air delivers as a cordless home unit as well?....As a happy owner of a Solo I seldom reach for it at home just because I get better results with my LSV, MFLB and my Nano. However it really comes down to what one wants and how well one uses the unit in question and that is an assessment that only you can make for yourself.

Pretty sure there are only two versions of the Legendary Solo.

One with "Vape while Charging " (newest) Steel chamber

And the original, can't Vape and charge, however has the ability to connect to to a Power Adapter.(ceramic)

Damn, seriously?!? I just read a few posts in the Solo thread..

"Why did it take me so long?" "I love this thing " and the like..

Haha, you guys crack me up with the VAS... Which is highly contagious...

God, I'm broke as shit right now, and still can't control my desire for another vaporizer..

However, my latest acquisition (Firewood v3) should be my last for a long time.
(Wife is not happy, but hell.... I need this Form Factor and on demand qualities and I could not pass up the amazing offer presented by a very awesome fellow member)

Ha, no my friend, thank you for sharing those videos....

It truly demonstrated the true power of the simple elegant beast.
Very positive illustration of its capabilities.

Always a pleasure @biohacker .

Yes, steel chamber is the Vape while charging unit.

Ceramic is the older one.
Accidentally put "no" in front.

Edited to fix.
Thanks for pointing that out!!

Hashtag46&2,
should be my last for a long time

Lol good luck. I preorded the RBT single bat yesterday and nabbed on of the last wild Lily's recently, that should be my last for a long time. Glad you got a deal, I've been curious about the fw3 myself.

Kudos @mecker for sticking with ONE vape for four years. You should be the poster boy for anyone attempting to kick VAS, your self control and dedication is impressive. Solos a great unit I think will complement your lb nicely, I started to write a book about it for ya but then I remembered there's 1400+ pages of insight at your disposal! The solos a very versatile unit.

My Solo will soon be on it's way to my desk!

Also purchased a GonG adapter. Any idea where I can find a good bubbler to couple with my new Solo once it arrives?

Not sure where in Europe you are but heres some eu headshops

Everyonedoesit.co.uk (uk based)

verdampfnochmal (more vapes than glasss but in germany)

Or check out ehle glassworks.de

Find local suppliers of weedstar/blackleaf (easily available china glass rebranded)

Vapefiend sell some glass too

www.dhgate.com Most folks reccomend the d020 and I've got go say it does pair well with the solo. Don't get too large of a bubbler, while the solo packs a punch it may disappoint (as will most portables!) with too large a can.

There's several threads dedicated to dhgate glass in our glass section though.

For simplicity's sake and not having to stir, I'd say an herbalaire is your best best for a desktop. Hell you don't even have to grind - just stuff nugs into the crucible and they come out completely brown inside and out every time. You can direct draw, use a whip or even set it up with bags.

I hardly use mine anymore, except to vape some dried lavender at night or when I'm vaping with a group of people. But man does it extract efficiently.

Why would you recommend it if you hardly ever use it?

I'm looking for a main vaporizer (keeping the mflb as a substitute).
Anyway I've already ordered a Solo which I hope I'll love.

Because I have an enano that fits my alone usage better and an mflb for on the go. Nothing wrong with the herbalaire as a main, it performs amazingly as one, I just personally only use it for certain instances anymore.

I hope you enjoy your solo though!
