Having no metal in the heat is a huge deal to me; I consider myself a connesuir and I like the final taste of the entire vaporizing process to taste as close to perfection as I can get it.
Time to graduate from whip based vapes to something like the Herbo, VHW, or Verdamper...with the VHW slightly edging the other two in taste

Yeah Kad's I was trying to hint at that as a possibility in my last post this thread. VHW might provide some fun for your vape glass, I know it has for mine.

Kads, it's nice to see you on the forums. Your channel/videos is why I purchased a VB. Respect!

The update:
Last night I used the non-hands free whip tip, and had a great vape session. :D Two screens wasn't very effective, but I have an idea to easily separate the smaller particles from the larger ones. If it works I'll post up what I did, though I'd still like to see smaller holes for the screen. I'll try a different grinder this weekend as well. I'll build up some honey on one as suggested.

I'm going to alter the HF whip tip soon and I'll report back if what I'm going to do makes a noticeable difference. Until then I'll continue to use the other tip.

I tested the ceramic screens in something else to compare them to a metal screen and the difference is night and day. IMO ceramic screens aren't BS.

one idea that may work, is to vape a little moister weed with the cermaic screens, as the moister weed will be in larger pieces, i dont think it will fall through as much. this is just my idea though. im glad you are liking the ezchange kit, it sounds like its working for you, just got to figure out a way around the hole size issue.

I'm not going to vape with the whip tonight. The screens are being "treated" and need to sit out over night.

Holy Sh&*t this is great!

Can I cuss here? Wow, I just logged onto this thing and there's a huge flowery discussion about geez- I didn't even know people have seen this EZ thing much yet. I'd love to answer questions. Thanks KADS you jumped in here and...... provided me with a bunch of reading. Sorry I can't respond to everything yet because I leave town soon. But I'll do my best to answer some stuff. Where do I start?

The holes: Yes they're huge when it's a brand new screen straight off the mold. But the holes are the perfect size after some use, and big enough not to clog before we feel they should. We may come out with smaller holes- but clogging down the road will be your comment. It's a balance.

Stacking screens: I don't know about stacking 2 ceramics together for a couple reasons but great to hear people are trying it. If I put one in the opposite end it gives the flakes a chance to whirl around inside and not get through the 2nd screen. I prefer putting the metal screen in the opposite side anyway. It doesn't run hot on that side, so the awesome zero-metal experience is still intact.

Angling the heater up:... this answer belongs on some other thread probably, but since I designed this box shape on a night like tonight long ago I guess I should explain... that....

Ceramic screen - why it's in the EZ whip: The easy change whip was an ancient idea of ours. long to come to pass. Lately we have the experience to mold ceramic into intricate shapes. We just did them both at once. The EZ change is as happy with 1 or 2 metal screens, so feel free.

The deeper bowl: Doesn't require more herbs. Actually, you can pack less because the diameter at the screen is less than the groove on the normal screened whip. Less is more with this thing.

Wands for other vaporizers: hmmm...

Our wonderfully high standards and level of caring: It's not that we're super caring people. Basically, I designed this thing with my friends and it is our baby so we're not going to fuck with our baby, you know? Caring is just gonna happen in this situation. We care, try not to brag about it, but have oodles and oodles of love for the people who picked up vaporizing because of us. Lots more to say later.

Flaws: please reveal them as promised in your discussion above.

Thanks everybody for providing such a nice... dark screen to be easy on my eyes tonight. OMG there is way more that I can address... silicone safety 'n such. I will gaze at this forum at work every day when nobody's looking. Take care and happy vaporizing, whatever's your style!

welcome to the forum, linus...I gather from your post you are the creater of the VaporBrothers vaporizer. If so, please feel free to start your own 'official vaporbrothers thread' and educate us on your vaporizer. We welcome vape manufacturers to have their own thread...it'll help you get the word out about your product and help us all understand the science better.

I'm using my water pipe while the screens build up, some particles get through even with two screen(not stacked). Not a big deal just passing on information. I'll experiment more with the HF tip.

doesn't the air flow still come through the bottom and insides of the unit?

If so then I don't really get the point.

Good question is the air still comming through the guts of the vaporizer, i know VB uses ta lot
of electronics in the system ??

What about that red silicone what keeps the heater in place is this true ?? i have read this also
on a other forum.

Hello,

Yay thanks this is a nice forum to talk about real stuff.

Answers!

- Yes, air comes up through the bottom, but mostly from the front. The easy whip doesn't change that, just makes the screen a breeze to clean.

- If you use the ceramic screen it eliminates the last source of metal in the "hot zone," i.e. the area that is f-in hot. It's the f-in hot materials that can off gas chemicals if they weren't scrutinized closely. Our goal is to have nothing but glass and ceramic contacting air in the hot zone, with high temperature medical silicone out at the ends (at the base of the heater and at the area of the screen)

- Yes there are electronics but we use minimalist circuitry to cut down on the number of connections and ... uh... I should stay confidential with some of the things that make us work better than the knockoffs. I CAN say that the electronics are being made up to European RoHS standards, which is way higher than the US. And by the way, any Chinese knockoff we've evaluated so far is a guaranteed Lead hit.

- The red high temperature silicone is holding the cool end of the heater. Damn, ya know, I don't want to teach other companies how to do this shit so f- it... What I can say is that ALL materials in the vap are kept well below their "worry point" temperature where breakdown occurs. The "red" ingredient is rated OK for food or lipstick...

- Using the water pipe at first is a great move. Ha ha when nobody's looking... Drink the water.

- Frickr, if you were asking me what's my opinion of the new whip so far, I think it's ugly when it gets honey'd but hell, it is up to my standards of being free from plastic or sealant so we're 90% there. We'll come out with some colors & designs some time. If you have suggestions for how it should look I'm totally into it.

- If anyone wants to quiz us deeper and doesn't mind a slow response, feel free to find us through myspace or us@vaporbrothers.com

Hey VB,
Just a note to say I love my VB vape and so do my friends, all who drop by regularly to partake of my vape collection and the VB is considered top choice.
Question - why has the issue of the heater angle never been addressed, it's common practice to raise the back end up. What is the reason why the heater is at that angle and
if that can't be changed, can the wand be redesigned in say two parts in two directions so the part with the material is facing down to counteract gravity and material falling against the heater?
thanks again....

This vape is amazing and the new whip just makes it that much better. I use 1 ceramic screen on the end where i load the green and one metal screen on the other end to grab anything that gets through. I do take the whip apart about once a week to clean it, takes about 30 seconds where as before it was hours of frustration.

Seven i hope you are not spamming here ;)

With the original whip hours of frustation ?? a whip is clean in 10 min. max !

But the new system is nice for those that are extreme lazy ;)

Like someone has written here, what is the big plus wenn you have to put an metal screen behind the
ceramic ;) you still use the metal screen although it is HQ.

But rep+ 1 for VB they have designed something new what needs to be improved but they are the
first, and a lot will follow (again) ;)

Thank you for calling my opinion bullshit. :(
People/companies that make/sell products are fair game on forums. To use an old saying, 'if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen'. ;) And please understand that if you post here as the maker/seller of a product, you don't have the same posting rights as those members who are just consumers. If you have a product, make a thread in Vaporizer Discussion and keep comments in that thread.

I don't think Kads is a maker/seller... but more of a VaporBros enthusiast. he even states he does not work for VaporBros.

Hi everybody, I guess I shouldn't be posting here (?) I'll shut up for 3 weeks while I travel anyway, so see ya on the other side.

Fyi,

Kads isn't a member of our business and doesn't actually do any work for us. He's a fanatic we've loved from the moment he first contacted us, and has become an expert in his own right. I sent him some vapes and gifts and the ez whip before anybody else saw it. He is a die hard fan and I hope he doesn't get any flack for being allied with me.

Spam shouldn't ever come from VB or be for VB because we have no marketing dept and it's counter to who we are. We've relied 100% on fanatics from day one. The taste and effects of a good vapor hit turn otherwise normal people into zealots who proselytize to others. If you see anything different, pls let us@vaporbrothers.com know. But there should be zero spam, because we have no affiliates and keep to only a few distributors. If anything, a Vaporwarehouse referral code offer got some customers to become spam-ish but it must have been more than a year ago when they stopped it. Btw, Vaporwarehouse wants to create an FC coupon. OK with that? Not sure how/where to post that.

Before I take off I hope to start a thread in the vapor discussion as proper and start addressing heater angle and stuff. It's not just about the lightweight box...

Take care everybody,

Linus V.

I really like the aesthetics and accessories for the VB unit but I wish the air path didn't go through the box. I realize it is unheated and I appreciate that VB takes care to assure no lead or toxic off gassing but IMO if you changed that you would have a better product, especially with new whip, and more competitive with the other more expensive whip vapes.
I would buy one today if not for that one little hang up.

vaporbrothers glad you're here and please continue to contribute to this real discussion board.
regarding the heater angle and working around it, the only downside to raising the back of the unit up with a book or eyeglass case is you lose half the bottom rubber grip so the unit is more apt to slide forward. there must be a way to rig up a set of collapsible rubber feet for the bottom end which would provide a level angle for the whip while keeping the unit stable.
just a thought that had been crossing my mind.
last night for the fun of it i switched out 3/8 ID 1/2 OD 1/16 wall thickness tubing for a friend and she found the hits to be fuller and stronger.

Ya I stepped up the size of my hose and it was a big difference. But it wasnt the good VB hose so I dont know what I'm inhaling but there is a good coating of honey in there so I hope it's ok.

Verdamper would be ideal but it is a christmas tree of glass tubes and pipes that is gonna be a nightmare to keep around. Merry Christmas I guess.............

those bowls look sweet, but i still wouldn't buy a VB just for a quick change bowl, i always wondered why they make u put the bowl in at a downward angle, haven't they ever heard of gravity?
I agree that it's not the best design as far as the downward angle goes. However, I asked several users about this and they say it's not an issue. They love their Vapor Brothers units!

Seems that tilting it upwards would not be hard to do - just make a wooden or cardboard piece to tilt it, use velcro to hold it to the unit, or whatever. Not hard to do. If I ever feel the need for an adjustable heat unit, the VB unit is one of the ones I will consider for sure.

Spamming? no im not even joking, i hate putting the screens in the whips it would take me hours. The new whip is seconds and the screen stays cleaner for longer even with one of both screen in.
