You could easily use a coil and controller with a RIO and simply swap bangers when you want to use the torch.

What? What do yo mean exactly? I've already got the Rio and I'm ordering an eNail tomorrow. I like to try all options and pick one or at least have all options open to me. The torch in the Rio is a lot less scary because it's inside the rig and you can hold the entire thing easily.

I just mean that you could have a coil and banger setup for the Rio for electric use just like any dab rig, or when you wanted to use torch mode you could just put the other banger on and use the built in torch. Basically you could do electric or torch dabs all with the same Rio glass without needing another dab rig or anything. Some people would probably be like "what's the point" but I'm into minimalist setups which is what that would be.

+1 Inverted, I often drop my slim Dnail on my Rio when home... and always use in this fashion whenever I am cleaning other rigs.

I have some experience with many devices/setups, and I am a bit opinionated, but don't misinterpret that as me being the most knowledgable guy in the room... I am not. Read as much as you can, and try as much as you can, there is no substitute for experience and your mileage may vary.

I like the RiO because it is simple, economical, back to the basics, and IMO far better than any atomizer based setup. It is not as refined nor precise nor as expensive as a decent enail setup, there is also a learning curve, but RiO is the real deal all-in-one unit, my favorite portable ever, and a cold starting beast. It is also simple to clean and comes with a great travel case.

Ive said it in other threads, RiO does not replace my enail and don't think it ever will, but it compliments it beautifully and is a prized travel companion.

I'd like to see you write an Essay on your experience with the Reo. I just purchased the Green one and am excited to receive it. What good advice would you give a stark-raving newbie to the Reo? Just write every thought that comes into your head.

I have seen Troy slamming that Rio on so many episodes, and then all the positive comments here. Everytime I look at it I wonder what makes it different from someone just holding a torch steady on a glass banger in a bubbler? I don't mean to knock down the reviews or the Rio, I am curious what makes the combination of glass, torch and bubbler so effective? Is the torch or the angle of the torch on the banger unique in some way? Or is it the balance of everything within one unit?

I don't deny the SOB hits very, very well. I can see the hits people get and the joy they get from it. I just don't understand where the magic come from?

I think the Rio's claim to fame over a normal torch rig is portabilty...everything fits in the case, even with water in the bubbler.
