New to dry herb vaporization.

Im kinda brand new the world of dry herb vaping, I tried it back in the late 80s with a dome type vaporizer that is basically just a soldering iron with a cup on the end inside of a glass dome, needless to say that method was mostly for gimmick because it was pretty nasty. Now, Ive recently gotten ahold of a cheap Randys Echo and I am really enjoying the flavors I get off of it. I also still really enjoy the ritual of twisting up a fat goober and sitting down outside and puffing away, but since I have starting dry herb vaping, my Js all taste like burning wood. Is that a normal thing to not get any terp flavor at all from a j after dry herb vaping?

It's not that you aren't getting any terp flavor after dry herb vaping. It's just that you are getting used to a much higher level of terps, so it seems like you aren't getting much from the combustion of the J. It's like people who get used to eating candy and then don't think actual fruit tastes sweet any more.

If you can afford it, I'd "highly" (*pun intended) consider reading some posts here about peoples favorite vapes and consider getting one of those. All of them will likely be a better experience than the "Echo", but most will cost anywhere from around $100-$500 or so, depending on which one you go with.
