New 4/20 Experiences

So I know everyone is hopping on the great sales and releases on 4/20 (whassup CH and Vestratto!), but I got to thinking that this would also be a good day for us vape enthusiasts spread our wings and try something new or that you haven't done in a while. Maybe that's a concentrate and flower "sandwich", or a gravity bong, smoke a blunt (yeah, I know it is a vaping forum) or switching up the temps you normally vape at. Let's expand our horizons and depth of experience too.

So thought I might share this idea and see what sort of novel experiences folks might be having as they potentially do things a bit different. Curious what areas of the vape world have been unexplored or are being explored for the first time (or first time in a looong time).

For me, it was using a whip. I'd gotten whips with a few different pieces (Globe MkII, Ditanium, etc) but really stuck with glass mouthpieces in each case.

So it was lovely last night to pull out a whip and slap it on my Globe. Lovely, leisurely sipping from a B0, into the Sticky Brick wood bowl, through the Globe MkII. Good stuff and glad I went there. Will be visiting whips more often as a result. (Side note: would love good whip recommendations too. Don't love the look or taste of the clear silicon tube that I grabbed from my box of misc goodies).

I can totally picture this: Some wierd guy walking around with his modified diving gear, creating a vapetrail everywhere he goes... Frequent ABV droppings showing the way like breadcrumbs..

Trying out butane vapes is a great example of branching out. Eye opening how impactful the high energy from a torch flame can impact a hit. Plus damn quick.

Now where did I put my Sticky Brick Jr?

Portable Hoarder
I have been dipping my toes in concentrates recently. Have been using my current line up of portables, and not very impressed with taste, efficiency or high. So I got an Xmas Qomo, and was equally unimpressed.

Just received a Rio Stache last night from 4/20 sale and holy cow! I think I finally get the concentrate hype!!

Qomo, did you get the quartz cups? I wouldn't bother with the standard ceramic...

Interesting. I quite dig that combo.

But yeah, Stache is fabulous. And just gets better as you get your technique down and/or get the banger that works best for you.

BTW just got a 14 mm male to 14mm female 90 degree piece to use my Anvil with the RIO. Then I can slide that torch out and have an integrated set up that can be used one handed.

And I mainly use Qomo if I want dabs on the go.

I am wondering if the Quartz cups I got are fake. I got the Qomo from Puff It Up, but had to get the quartz cups from elsewhere. I swear, the flavor/experience was actually better with the stock cup (still not great, but with the quartz I felt like I was inhaling bad stuff).

@Texus - can you post a pic of your Rio/Anvil set up on the Anvil thread? It sounds intriguing and I want to give it a shot, but don’t completely get what you did to make it a 1-handed process. (I think I am already doing that with my own setup of Grav mug).

Will post once adapter actually arrives. Ordered from Oregon Glass just yesterday
