Needed time to adjust to vaping's higher THC levels

Has anyone else, relatively new to vaping (me 8 months or so, and exclusively), gone through period of feeling "too stoned". When I smoked, I'd here of ppl that would get "paranoid", to me it was a "dream" to get really high, couldn't do it.

I started vaping, learning to get good results, and at first I felt like shit at times. Now, I'm back to vaping as much as I want / need to. I'm in a good place right now in lots of ways, and having total control of my cannabis, and plenty of it, with great delivery systems (portable and corded), my life has changed dramatically for the better. It's not just about getting high, but I am mentally a healthier individual, but I had to get past the "learning curve".

Anyone else go through this?

I like to take it slowly with new batches of whatever, edibles, flowers, concentrates. It's a lot easier to titrate doses with flowers and concentrates than with tinctures or edibles... Occasionally I'll take a dab or eat something thinking I can handle it... sometimes I get my ass kicked :ko: I only really enjoy it when I'm expecting it! It was easier when I was new to vaping to get too high, with vaporizing flower it seems that the effects creep up on me slower than they did when I was smoking! Not so much with dabbing, that hits like a freight train very quickly.

I absolutely noticed this.....I noticed there was more paranoia experienced by newbies, including myself, when I limited the vaping temps to the lower ranges. Initially I didn't like the feeling as much as I did the more encompassing mind and body high from the old combustion days.

For me....Vaping at lower temps had caused me to experience more of a mental affect and less of a physical affect when compared to combustion. I've also noticed other vape newbies getting a good case of the noids from lower temp vaping. These same folks hadn't gotten a case of the noids in years while combusting. I also notice that increasing the temps gets me closer to the total mental and physical high I used to get when combusting. As time has moved on.... I have adapted to the newer mental based high and have learned how to control the temps to dial in the buzz I'm looking for. It took some time but I feel like I have more control over the effect and can direct it better too.

Noids for me come from sativa at low temps. No noid's is indica at highest temps. Now just the other day had indica dominant gsc and I got a case of the spins and nausea! Max temps, about 0.15gr. Perhaps I had the more kiefy portion of grind from the doob tube. But damn, strains make a world of difference as well.

My favorite way to medicate is sadly c-juice =/ Too damn easy to puff anywhere. Have a lot better luck with hybrids this way as well. I have the 4 puff method working where I can medicate properly in most situations including work and remain productive. This is Indica's medicating through the day.

Overall this whole vaping thing has amazed me.

Vaping feels like combusting used to feel like when I first started, very uplifting and dream like. Perfect for strolling around in the sun and feeling peaceful, but also very stimulating on occasion, which is fun too. That stimulating stage is where the paranoia would kick in for some but you just gotta ride the wave and you get past it pretty quickly.
