Need help getting a safe, effective vape

Hi everyone, first post, sorry if its in the wrong place.

I am on a mission to say a giant "fuck you" to combustion, but after researching all of this info about vapes my head is starting to spin. Basically my goal is to get the safest vape possible, but I also want it to do a good job of getting me high. I have a really nice bong currently and I want to convert it into a cooling device for my vape. With that said, here are a few questions that are really important towards what vape I choose...

1. Reading some of the threads here on FC, I've seen multiple mentions that ceramic parts in these vapes are potentially dangerous. How serious do you think this is? And what are some vapes that don't use any ceramic parts?

2. How exactly does one go about hooking up a bong to a vape? Do I need a special attachment or is it as simple as sticking the whip into the bong? If I do need an attachment or something how much will that cost?

3.I've been thinking about the sublimator a bit... Is it as safe as a normal vape? Does it actually "sublimate" or is that just advertising?

4. I'm looking to spend $250-$500 on this... what are the safest and best vapes I could get for that price?

@Yehawwielon Welcome to fuckcombustion. Take a picture of your bong. I don't know a lot about glass, but others do.

It sounds like you are looking for an at home unit. I don't have the Subliminator, but I know it's expensive. They sell it at Planetvape. Their website is on the bottom of this page.

I hear a lot of good things about the Enano, it's a log vape and costs around $200 depending on the wood you order. You would have a lot left over for top shelf and any fun vaping accessories like extra glass from DHgate.

Hello and welcome to FC! 1) Hammer or Lotus off top of my head. 2) Hammer will for sure, might need a cheap "z" shaped attachment for the Lotus. 3) Sublimator does not sublimate, bummer I know, but it is a beast I hear and gives amazing reclaim oil. 4) Back to 1, you can get 2 of each at that price range!

Think about how it wil be used. I am the sole user of my enano. This unit rips but is best suited
to use for a couple of people. Not really a party vape. If it's just you and a friend or two, enano.

My first home unit I bought was the extreme q.What i can say about it is you can try almost every way to use a home unit whip,bag,Hydra tube(my favorite) It's a great reasonably priced entry level vape IMO.Good luck and you picked the best community to join to figure these things out. A lot of the "ceramic" vapes are safe. 7th floor and other well known brands are safe to use, and have a ceramic heating element.

Sounds like a great mission. I love when my friends ask me to smoke because I have been fucking over combustion for 4 years and never going back.

With that price range, why not buy 2-3 legit vapes. You could get an arizer portable plus a log vape and still have change.

Safety of materials... Glass path, surgical stainless, higher quality ceramic, wood...

How to use.. you mentioned with water, and choosing one that pairs easily with a bubbler/bong might mean switching out a downstem to an 18 or 14mm glass on glass connector so you can mate your vape easily (I have an ENano... this is what it excels at), rather than trying to work a whip connector. I'm thinking of a few that work with glass... ENano, the HI, the UD, I am pretty sure the SSV, the EVO - it even has its own glass, but will also work fine with a standard 18mm down/Dewar joint -

I think the Vapolution 2.0, if I recall correctly*, is an amazing (and, IMO, amazingly unattractive) beast that can do anything... and does it WELL. I almost bought one as my first vape, and I'm STILL kicking myself for going with the NO2. okay, not really.. but I kinda regret not having one. and I have great vapes.

With your budget, I agree that you should look for one great desktop (Logs are 24/7 available) that hits hard and FAST, and a simple portable - I'm getting a Vapman - I've given a Vaporgenie to my kid, who loves it - that does butane. Electronic portable herb vapes.. well, the Solo, the Air, the S&B stuff, the ElevapeSV (mine), and @Hippie Dickie 's Bud Toaster are the only ones I can think of that have good reviews for taste/efficiency/reliability. S&B I've not used, but seem like them with them like them.

I've been continuing my research the past few days and I'm no longer that worried about ceramic heating elements which opens up a lot of options. I'm thankfully starting to feel just a bit closer to knowing what I want. Although I appreciate the suggestions on portable vapes I'm looking for a desktop right now. I have a car so whenever I want to go to a friends house I can just bring my desktop with me instead of paying extra for a portable. Anyways...

Right now my biggest priorities are efficiency and how high I can get. The reason I was drawn to the sublimator was the fact that it is supposed to deliver the kind of dome shot a bong rip brings. Unlike some people I've never had a problem getting high on vapes but I do like ripping bongs because it gives you that feeling like you were hit by a sledgehammer lol. Honestly this more than anything is the reason I haven't decided to give up combustion years ago. Unfortunately tho I think the sub is well out of my price range, $750 is way more than I'm looking to spend. Is there any other vape around that is good at delivering large and intense hits? Also, the Silver Surfer and Da Buddha have been catching my eye but a major turn off for me is the lack of a precise temperature control. In your opinions is this something I should be concerned about? How precise can you be without knowing the vapes exact temp?

You can start as low as you want and work up, you'll find a sweet spot that works great for you! SSV and DBV are both awesome vapes! Also look into underdog and Enano, two log vapes that are efficient and get you high as fuck
