Hey guys, I've been lurking in of fc for a while but this is my first post. I'm very particular about my vapes and so far every one that I've used has pissed me right off. I was wondering if you guys wanted to help me pick better this time. Thanks in advance for the help!

Criteria:

I have little baby lungs and need cool, smooth vapor to not get sent into a coughing spree.

Also because of my lungs draw resistance bugs me.

I like the idea of on demand but don't need it.

My budget is kind of tight but at this point I would be willing to pay up to 250 for something that is really perfect for me.

I would like something that is efficient and squeezes every drop of actives out of my herb.

Battery life isn't all that important to me so long as it isn't grasshopper level bad.

I don't particularly care about size or appearance.

Would like a unit with low smell.

I'm not quite decided on portable vs stationary. 75% of the time I just vape in my room but I can't always.

I might hook it up to some glass from time to time.

Usually I vape solo but sometimes I want to share with a friend or two.

I want a reliable unit, preferably with a warranty.

Vapes I've tried:

Tons of cheap Chinese stuff: Made me cough up a lung, wasted herb, tasted like shit and battery sucks.

Grasshopper: unit gets hot, vapor is too hot, battery sucks. Unreliable. Love the fast heat up times and it conserves a lot of herb though.

Crafty: battery isnt great and it's a bit of an herb hog, but other than that very nice. Too bad it's a million dollars.

Zeus smite: flowermate clone, vapor is too hot and it's an herb hog.

Pax 2: way too much draw resistance, eats tons of herb, vapor too hot. My least favorite full price unit.

Extreme Q: a lot of work to get a good hit and sometimes it's too hot for me. On my shortlist anyways.

Volcano: Nice but out of my price range. It also eats a lot of herb but it's so smooth I don't even care.

What I've been looking at:

The cf caught my eye but I hear it's an herb hog and vapor is hot. On demand units like the Firefly look good but they seem fineky, I would prefer to not have to stir my herb every few draws. The butane on demand units caught my eye as well. The lotus and vapman in particular but I'm worked that they'll get too hot for my lungs and that they are hard to operate. I can get the extreme Q for pretty cheap but then I'm chained to my desk, also I found all the prices to be a lot of work for me when I'm medicated. I'm particularly interested in the firewood 4 right now but there aren't a lot of good reviews so I'm not sure what to think about it.

Thoughts?

I recommend the Haze Dual V3 Vaporizer

I have little baby lungs and need cool, smooth vapor to not get sent into a coughing spree.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 produces a smooth cool vapor

Also because of my lungs draw resistance bugs me.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 has very little air draw resistance

I like the idea of on demand but don't need it.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 takes 60-90 seconds to heat up.

My budget is kind of tight but at this point I would be willing to pay up to 250 for something that is really perfect for me.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 = $249.00 or less depending on where you purchase it. I would recommend purchasing from Haze directly to make sure you get the great warranty they have on their vaporizers.

I would like something that is efficient and squeezes every drop of actives out of my herb.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 vapes dry herb evenly, no stirring and I put in enough for about 3 hits on a one hitter and I get 6-10 draws on setting 1 before I have to turn it up.

Battery life isn't all that important to me so long as it isn't grasshopper level bad.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 has great battery life, rechargeable

I don't particularly care about size or appearance.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 is about the size of a small flask

I'm not quite decided on portable vs stationary. 75% of the time I just vape in my room but I can't always.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 is portable and made durable enough to use daily

I might hook it up to some glass from time to time.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 has glass attachment

Usually I vape solo but sometimes I want to share with a friend or two.
:rockon:Haze Dual V3 can be a community vape lol and has two ovens so you will have plenty of dry herb material or concentrates to pass around. After your done with oven #1 just flip the switch and start on a pre-packed oven #2.

I want a reliable unit, preferably with a warranty.
:clap:Haze Dual V3 has a 10 year warranty and the customer service is second to none!

That's just my :2c:

I'm particularly interested in the firewood 4 right now but there aren't a lot of good reviews so I'm not sure what to think about it.
The thread is pretty slow, I haven't posted in a while myself, but I love my FW4! and have been using it for a few capsules a day, pretty much every day since it came out (and the FW3 before that).

I would like something that is efficient and squeezes every drop of actives out of my herb.
I would prefer to not have to stir my herb every few draws.
FW4 extracts thoroughly and evenly, even from minuscule amounts, without stirring… unless loaded with unground nugs, in which case one stir to break it up can help.

I have little baby lungs and need cool, smooth vapor to not get sent into a coughing spree.
Its native mouthpiece is short, so the vapor probably gets too hot for you without an attachment. The cooling unit is pretty good, but it might not be enough depending on how hard you hit it and how sensitive you really are.

(I have no problem using the FW native, but then the GH doesn't bother me either as long as I don't go for more than about two big hits in a row…)

The mouthpiece fits snugly into 14mm female glass joints, so you have a lot of potential options, from a short mouthpiece, to a j-hook, to bubbler or bong.

I still use this OGB mouthpiece, now with my FW4, when at home:

I'd look into the Milaana and the Touch by mistvape and what I've been loving lately is the sticky brick family(I just purchased the Jr.) and love it.
Also I'm shocked the VapCap nation hasn't chimed in already. It's the one of the most affordable vapes on the market. Good luck.

Another one here to recommend the Haze V3. No draw resistance. Easy to clean. Amazing battery. Does both herb and concentrate. 10 year warranty. You can pack nice bowls for 15-20 hits or can pack small bowls for 2-4 hits. Extracts the herb really well. My AVB is always an even brown. Sometimes darker than other times but sometimes I go high on the temperature.

For desktop I suggest a Vapir rise 2.0. However this is kind of a weed hog though. It's super efficient. But sometimes you need to put a little more in your bowls

You might want to check into a milaana as well, especially if as you said you've grown tired of the whole chinese plastic thing. It's a portable on-demand convection vape made of glass and wood with a removable 18650 battery, that's been quite well received around these parts. It's also right in your price range.

Well, you have asked for the holy grail of cool and extremely efficient but for $250 or less.

IF you go desktop, may I suggest an Enano log vape. VERY flexible (can be used a lot of ways with a lot of stuff), VERY efficient (literally a pinch will do), and it falls within your price range.

Also, although instant on is not a criteria of yours, the Enano can be left on all day long so when you want a toke, just take one.

In addition to stem/chambers they also have gong/chambers so its very easy to put on a water pipe which, quite frankly, is the only real solution to your sensitive lung situation, I believe.

I'm really hard pressed to think of a portable that will be acceptable to your sensitive lungs as portability comes at the price of other design compromises. IF looking at a portable, particularly since most of your use is at home, the Mighty (not crafty) and Boundless CFX come to mind. But the Mighty breaks your budget but the CFX does not at ($179 full retail). Also, they do have a nice water pipe adapter for CFX as I continue to believe that only this will really solve your lung sensitivity issues. Then, you can take the CFX without WPA for those times you do go out.

Cheers
