Interesting. Sure enough, googling vapecity pulls up fc... :/
A few possibilities:
1. there is a plan to migrate away from the currently colorful domain name, which I hope isn't the case. I've seen it happen before when a site reaches a level of popularity and to take it to the next level, things get sanitized a bit, which usually precedes bringing in advertisers and banner ads.
2. the new domain will be some sort of fc offshoot, maybe with its own shopping cart. this would be interesting to see if fc started official vendor relations, but I prefer to objectivity to potential conflict of interest.
3. someone outside fc channels owns that domain, and is pointing it at fc to get some quick rankings in google. if this is the case, i hope the fc site admins are aware of methods to deal with this.
I'm really hoping it's #3 or something else, especially since the new name is so generic and sounds like grasscity and vapenow had an illegitimate child.

I started coming here when I found a reference to fuckcombustion while I was looking for reviews on thr Iolite and Volcano. I'm used to fuckcombustion and would like to see it stay that way. But, I would still come here if it was called Vapecity and even if they operated some kind of store front, as long as they allowed free speech and thoughtful open criticism of what they sold. I would start to use Firefox as opposed to Safari if they started carrying banner ads though.
However, fuckcombustion is appropriate because tha represents my attitude towards smoking at the moment; fuck it. I was never an every day smoker, but when I smoked I coughed a lot, Since vapoing every day for the last three weeks, I've never coughed once while vaping. Literally fuck combustion. I think the name means something and stands for something and would be sad to see it change.

I'm willing to give back to the community in that I will attempt to respond to what I know to be true (I work in a lab, do HPLC/GLC/GCMS and UV assays and have little concern for a professional reputation), will pass along honest, unbiased reviews and scientific information. And I'm pushing vaporisation on people. So why should I not use a browser that can kill ads?

i was talking about safari, it takes a *nix based web browser and doesnt bother making it work natively on a unix like system, but there willing to make it work on microsoft windows
i guess this is unrelated to this discussion though, so im not going to make a big fuss about it but it would be nice to see apple put back in the community that it takes from so freely

When I tell people about the site, practically daily via pm's and whatnot. I explain that it is a real site. I started doing this early on because I would get people who thought I was trying to send them to some spam or porn site or something devious. So I always write a disclaimer saying it is a real site and to forgive the name.

I can tell you that there has been no discussion about this amongst mods, so I wouldn't sweat it. It's a domain name that was activated this past summer and directs to this site. If nothing else, I would use the new domain name for people in beezleb's situation. It's nice not to have to send someone a fuck link.

This site is what it is due to content and people. A name change will not hinder this and it may even increase traffic and contributors. Plus I don't own the site so if the owners change the site its their site to change. I recommend this site to anyone looking into a vaporizer. It helped me

Ok sorry I know this is way way way off topic but I have to respond. Safari is apples web browser. And it does suck. But apple is in the business of operating systems not just web browsers. Look at all the work Microsoft put into their crappy product Internet Explorer. Safari sucks most apple users know it. It would be nice to see Apple give back to the community but they are a corporation. Corporations make money not friends.stevecam said:
