Gear Nails, bangers, honey buckets, etc. Best for beginner?

I'm certainly no dab expert, but as a novice/intermediate user I find bangers easiest to use and this ones very thick. I use a big marble as a carb, but they sell some as well. I think the thickness helps me out with the heat, for some reason I seem to get my ti adjustable too hot.

Like I said though, I'm pretty new to it myself. Concentrates are scarce here.

I'm still trying to catch up current with the very prolific FC Glass threads, so I'm going to toss a quick Q or 2 in here 'bout that, cause it's slow:

- of the rigs I've been considering, the 710 is diffusion-pump & considered 'oil-rig' thereby (IIRC);
- on closer look, it seems very much as if the other three, the 187, UFO, & MINI, are really all kinda the same rig in terms of vapor path, general config, basic aeration, and mouthpieces...so the questions are: am I WRONG about how similar these are? Are these 'specialty' machines the way the 710 is supposed to be, or is one of them more of a multitasker (flowers AND goo)? Is there ANY point in having more than one of these, or in having one particular one of them more than the others?

Similarly, I caught a recommendation from @blankrider for a thing called a D-cycler, that immediately grabbed my interest but also reminded me that I still don't know what I'm doing w/ this stuff ...so to throw the net wider (and to repeat): if you could ONLY have one of these, which would you grab AND WHY? If you feel like playing, that is: and if NONE OF THE ABOVE is your vote, I'd love to hear what you DID nab, and what you really love 'bout it.

I'm just there's plenty of testimony laying about, and I'm pretty sure I've targeted good threads to look in (http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-high-quality-bubbler.5255/ and http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/open-source-glass-thread.16915/ so far) ...I just still feel like I've got a long way to go before I can ask NEW questions instead of playing teal-deer & starting yet-another-rehash or re-asking ancient and tired old questions.

In reality mines not that angled nor that pretty! However it is thick and real quartz (from that vendor). I need to buy a proper carb, but like I said I unfortunately don't get to use it much. I typically vape my concentrates to stretch em out.

A lot of folks sell boro as quartz, if you find one on Amazon I'd look for reviews. I just checked it appears there's quite a few people selling dhgate stuff pretty cheap right now. There's a nectar collector set for $25 in the US, may have to try it. Even if its lame I can always use a cheap tube!

I have an ongoing dangerous-ejuice project that is going okay, is my own brainburger-helper and supply-stretcher....I guess I'm kind of an over-researcher. When I get interested in something, I'll frequently not run out of stream until I've completed the equivalent of a major concentration...which of course also means designing studies, trying everything, and making all the things. Like with chemistry. And gardening. And other things.

Speaking of which, my reading here has finally reached the release of the FC-UFO, and I'm beginning to pick up reactions, so reviews not far off. I'm catching up!

I also like the quartz banger, it is so much better than the nail & dome.
Usually I preload it and then use the jet flame or the blue flame from a bic lighter to heat it up until the oil starts to boil. With a non transparent banger you can't see what's going on inside of it.

For the Arizer Solo I bought the D020-D which is a very nice bubbler, but I feel that it does not fit so good for dabbing. If you want to use just one glass for your vaporizer and for dabbing, consider to get a different one. Maybe the smaller D020 does suit better for this requirement.

Also I am thinking to get a dry glass pipe for on the go and for bed time (don't want to wake up gf with bubbling and can use a silent bic lighter).
Maybe a j-hook with banger or one of those pipes:

I've been admiring those little pipes for a while - of all the gear I thought I could pickup easy on the local, those things were THE thing, but no, not to be true. I've resisted this or that interim play because I've made the mistake of trying to turn a pile of accessories into an outfit before, & that trick never works. Time to pick an outfit and accessorize IT, I figure. Thanks for those links!

My leap into vapor is an example of me not having others to bounce things off of: I studied for weeks, came to a general conclusion, checked my wallet and my immediate priorities, and without anyone to bounce off, I picked up an eLeaf/iJust2 sub-ohm unit (obviously, I hadn't found my way here yet). I like it a lot, but I'll have to explore 'facing it with a WP later on: at this point the UFO seems not only the most solid choice in terms of 'payload format', but the entire design is extra-friendly for making that vape connection happen.

Seems like the 'crystallization' may be complete: I'll keep plunging on through 'til morning, but as of now, the bar has been set for the competition.

Okay folks unfortunately my dogs just knocked my rig off my table and we'll yall know what happened next. Anyway, I'm now in the market for a new rig and nail, and I'm a little confused on what to buy, as I bought everything together and am new to the concentrate game. My heating coil is 20mm, and the set originally came with a female 18mm quartz nail. Will any 18mm female nail fit the coil? And then do I just match the nail with any rig? I'd rather buy a cheap replace rt now, and spend on a nicer one down the road. Thanks everyone!!!

The heater is a standard coil heater, sorry forgot to include that

@Mrknotty23 You need a nail that fits a 20mm coil, they come in whatever sizes so if you are getting a new rig then I would find a rig first you like and then get whatever size of joint which fits that nail.
