Edit: I forgot to post a pic of my lackluster concentrates collection. Starting with that green stuff in the lower left corner and working clockwise, that is some King Kush wax. Theres some ABV QWISO I made that tastes like ABV, but melts clean and gets you high as sheeit! After that is what is left of my Sour D full melt hash. I loved this stuff so much, topping an LSV WPA bowl off is magical and I will miss it when it's gone. That rectangular case is reclaim stuff from my and a buddy's oil rigs. Finally, that is some nice Indica BHO. It is shatter at room temp, but softens up with heat. You can't tell in the black glass, but it is crystal gold.

This is 24 grams of 72 micron from last years outdoor grow. Part of the crop had to be hashed due to a foreign pollen infection so this is a nice mix of strains and there is plenty of it . . .

are you zooming with your phone? How much light do you have? What's the best way to get the best light. Obviously if you put the phone so close to the buds you can't use the flash?

My pics are with an iPhone 4. The 5 has a way better camera. The flash kills the picture so I turn it off. I get my camera up close for the first shot and then use the zoom feature on the phone. You have to play around with moving the phone ever so slightly closer and further away for focus. If you look at my last group of photos, the first Sour D picture is with no zoom, the second is with half zoom, the third is with full zoom. Using the HDR feature also helps. I don't use any special light or lighting at all.

how far are you away from the flower itself when you take it? Either I'm doing something wrong or my herb isn't that great lol.

My lens is literally a half inch or so away from the bud. Also, make sure that you don't have a wide angle attachment on your macro lens. I had a wide angle lens on mine and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get a decent picture. Once I unscrewed the wide angle lens and got right on top of the bud the pictures were coming out way better.

Deadshort's got it...I use an iPhone 5, with a homemade macro lens, from a DVD writer, and I use no zoom, no flash, and get as close to the bud as possible, watching to see when it is focused perfectly (this is subjective)

Also, for lighting I use a large multi-LED flashlight, and have it at different angles, shining on the bud, so that it is lit up well even with the camera right up on it. I'll try to take a video of how I do it with this setup sometime....It's a little different than when I use my regular camera.

I know most of you guys buy your stuff from centers (or from other people , but I was wondering if there are any other growers here. I am thinking of starting a thread about growing- methods, strains, yields, pics, etc.

If there is any interest I will set it up in the Discussion area and we can go from there. I realize there are many boards that deal with this, but if you have ever participated on RIU or similar places, then you know what the deal is with them. Here, we seem to have more intelligent folks who are usually pretty nice to each other- not to mention helpful.

I have been growing for 30 years (5 legally) and learn new shit every day. Let me know...

I love the taste of Haze. It has such an unmistakeable flavor and smell. Just a wisp of it in the air and I can smell it. I have a tiny bit of Blue Dream that I mix in with a vape session every so often just because it has such a sharp Haze taste. I need to find more of that.

Anyway, I found another shot of this frosty Bubba Kush. Probably the most crystalline buds I've ever had.

I laughed at the little buds, but shit got real as soon as I finished the first trench. Talk about soaring high, the damn thing caught me off-guard! I wanna vape more, but I don't wanna run out
