Thanks for the feedback.that is good to know about the air holes i will keep that in mind. I cant risk loosing juice again and when i make it thick it is just to potent.I can handle it but i would like to make it stretch.

Besides the tanks what would be a good alternative with less opertunity for leakage?I heard the cubis liked to gurgle and spit and the coils didnt get hot enough.I did find out the the coils was at the bottom though.

@joe0508 I use the Cubis for nic juice and I've really been wanting to try it for my next batch of cannajuice. When that will be I don't know because, I like you, am tired and frustrated with wasting my damn concentrate lol!

Anyway, the way Cubis works is there are 2 small holes at the bottom of the coil that suck juice from the tank into the coil when you take a hit.

It is 100% leak proof unless I guess if you leave it upside down with the airflow open (I haven't tried lol).

And it's easy as pie to fill. You literally just pour your juice in from the top and you're done.

The only problem is that feeding system.

The holes are very small, so if your cannajuice is a little think I would think the wick would not get saturated enough and you'll get dry hits galore.

If the cannajuice is too thin, then I think the atty will just get flooded, which will cause the gurgling and spitting.

But if the cannajuice is just right, then I think the Cubis would be perfect because of the no-leak and fill design.

I've had a hell of a time with the Cubis myself with nic juice. You have to get the coil primed perfectly and just play with things to get it right. But once the coil is broken in, it works very well.

So you gonna take the dive for me @joe0508 ? ;-)

EDIT: Oh, and to add - I'm about ready to give up on all this cannajuice stuff anyway. It's such a pain in the ass to figure out the best taste, potency and consistency. Plus with all these providers of "solutions," VE, EJ, PM, CC, etc. being so hush hush about the ingredients and with no regulation, it kinda makes me worried.

After a few weeks away from it I think I'm gonna dive back in to making a better thcjuice...I've got a bunch of concerts coming up and want to have my juice at the ready :)

I've resisted using any other adjuncts outside of the prepared puffmajic and all that other
stuff (only due to laziness), but it seems that I will indeed need to play around with VG/PG/etc...it appears like there's been a lot of activity and formulations recently but I'm not clear as to what has worked out best, in fact I'm downright confused.

Maybe a wiki page would be better so recipes wouyldn't get lost in the threads?

I will have to take back my comment on the original KangerTech mini. I recently tried the RBA (rebuildable bottom automizer) system for it and was very impressed. It was the first time I saw the unit work flawlessly. No gurgling, flooding, or leaking. It is like the unit was meant for the RBA.

Can't wait to try it with cannabis oil! I will be using a 0.33 ohm horizontal coil. I am also considering trying an aftermarket ceramic coil. The vertical ceramic coil will also work in the nano. They also make a ceramic coil for the horizontal system.

I will be doing more experimenting with RBAs

Yea im gonna give it a try.It will be a week or two before i can make a comment on the outcome but i will be giving it a try.If it dont work i have a blunt needle i can retrieve the oil from the tank.I have ordered a 5 pack of oil cartridges from ebay to tranferr some of the oil to.I have used the oil carts before and the carts work.It was my first time last time and im sure i made it to thick.I under estimated the potientcy of concentrate.I was able to get two weeks from a cart and the cart was for thick oil.I only smoke at night while im drinking and was able to get by with one hit a night finally after two week the coil burnt out and it was the only cart i had.Im sure it would have lasted a month if i didnt loose so much from leakage from the nano tank. This time i will make it thinner and i will have extra carts to tranferr. The carts i ordered this time is for thinner oil. This is only if the cubis doesnt work and to be honest i dont think it will because like you said it has very small holes in the coil.If only the other tanks didnt leak it wouldnt be so hard to work out.

Playing around with some wax and puff majic, I noticed a lot of white flakes after a 1:1 dilution. My wax isn't winterized so I'm now left wondering whether getting rid of this wax will be worthwhile. On a whim, I've started filtering the mix (0.75g wax in 0.75mL) through a tea bag....it drops more slowly than old people fucking but the resultant liquid is a beautiful yellow emerald green and noticeably clear. I also know I'm gonna lose a lot to the bag itself.

Winterizing such small amounts of wax just seems more trouble than it's worth

Next time I think I'm gonna press a bunch of buds to get enough rosin to work with.

I have made a press with the 600 pound erwin clamp.Does anyone know the best temp to use with this type of setup?I have been doing between 210f and 220f and not getting very good yields.I have been told to use higher temp but dont know a good range.I am guessing no higher than 250f?

@Genki88 Voltage/Wattage will depend on the atomizer you use. Each atomizer will have its own wattage range written on itself or the package. Obviously start low and work your way up to your sweet spot.

Ni (Nickel) and Ti (Titanium) can only be used in Temperature Control Mode. Don't use them in VW mode.

The EC head can be used in VW mode only.

Only difference as far as I can tell between types of wires is taste. And, that with the TC coils, you can avoid dry hits and take as long and frequent drags as you like.

Does anyone have any idea what is in vapeur extract? Is it really just a mix of PEG400/PG and VG? Given the presence of VG there must be some sort of solvent, right?

This is a difficult question to answer. I am not the one with the answer, but I do have an opinion.

When using e-cannabis, in most cases, the sub ohm coils will be better. When it comes to the correct wattage, even with sub ohm, recommendations are worthless, at least for my use, because I am not using mine under anyone's recommendation. Fore example: I have a .33 ohm RBA mini and I can't crank it up beyond 10 watts without gagging. The unit can handle it, but I can't. Most people wouldn't even think it could fire with that low of wattage, but it does, with every device I own. Another example: my cannabis oil, with the same device as another person that I am confident it, our wattage settings are nearly opposite of each others, but we each get great results.

The best advice I would have is to start low on the watts and work up until you find your "sweet spot".

It can be a more expensive way to medicate, but it can also be the most rewarding. :D

PEG400 is the solvent. They just released a new line called Pure which they claim does not contain any pg/vg/peg400. Now THAT I wonder what the hell is in it but apparently uses the same ratio as CC.

I have a few samples of the Pure, but I'm hesitant to try them because it's such a mystery.

Hah wow that is quite interesting, the Pure mixes with extract at a suggested ratio of as little as .1ml:1g extract. I have no idea what it might be.

I'm trying to develop a reliable, uncomplicated e-liquid solution so spending $20 on a wee jug of common ingredients defeats the objective. And ultimately I want to flavor with Naturally Extracted Tobacco flavor concentrate :)

Yeah, I got an email about Pure from Holy Terp:
Hello Everyone,

Here at Holy Terp, we are excited to announce the launch of our new and organic product line “Pure.”

“Pure”, similar to our Holy Terp line, can be used as is or as an additive to liquefy your extracts/concentrate. Enjoy this product without ever worrying about separation. In addition to being 100% organic, "Pure" does not contain any Polyethylene Glycol (Any PEG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG), or MCTs. With “Pure” you are able to use ratios lower than before while still complementing the aroma/flavoring of your extract. We recommend a 0.1 mL - 0.5 mL Pure : 1 g Extract. Using this ratio will completely liquefy the extract leaving you with a fully homogeneous solution that will flow effortlessly.

You can view this revolutionary product by clicking here.

Thank you,
Holy Terp

I too am gonna hang back and let other more intrepid vapers take one for the team ;) I'm actually falling back in love with making these juices now that I seem to have found a way around my major issues!

Sounds like Pure is just a rebranded CC. Although it is cheaper. Gonna hang back on this one as well.

Hey guys so I have some crumble and would like to dissolve it in some ejmix I am going to most likely pick up from puffmajic. My question is - Can I use a reg old vape pen like this ? - http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...1b72fbaad2b0131aac54eda605ffecd3H0&ajaxhist=0 , I ask bc I want it to be small and discrete , I do have a few mods and different sub ohm tanks but they are big and I need something I can really take anyplace with me . I have a question.

How well does the Griffin work with top notch dual coils when vaping cannabis oil?

Of course with the Griffin, you have to build your own coils and wicking needs to be precise. From what I have heard, the Griffen is the baddest rig on the market, especially with the top airflow piece.

Either way, I will find out soon enough, I have it on order.

Check this out, it is just e-cigg oil. This is quad coils built into the Griffin, and I'm sure it would be even better with the top airflow attachment. The top airflow pulls air from the bottom of the coils.

You won't know until you try!

Oh yah, forgot to mention, I received the LeCig ceramic coils. I have been vaping my Kanger mini with it and so far I am impressed. It has really good flavor. I did have to double my wattage setting. I would like to vape at least 4 grams through it before giving my opinion.

Hi all. Been lurking and reading. Started trying to make some juice over the last week with, ultimately disappointing results so far. I'd like to share what I've done/found, ask a couple of questions and see if anyone has any advice.
I'm using disposable cartomizers (bought the bud nano 1ml carts and .5ml regular carts from elegantaware) and a basic, non-variable battery. I'm using this basic gear because I'm making this juice for parties my company will be regularly throwing (I'm in a legal state) and we want to give these basic batteries to everyone who comes as well as a cart of lovely juice. Buying branded juice is really expensive and we've tried straight concentrates but it's too messy in this context. So I'm trying to make some juice. I am using high-quality, med grade shatter from dispensaries so the material I'm juicing up is top notch.
I ordered both the CC (g'rilla 13, lemon, green apple flavor, three burner pens) and Holy Terp (Jack) sample kits. My focus was on the CC stuff bc I didn't want to use a PG/PEG solution. I wanted to preserve the terpenes from my starting material so I decided to try the G'rilla 13 flavor first as that was supposed to be the most neutral. The smell of the solution is quite pungent when you open the bottle, sort of gasoline like (not really in the diesel way though). (The lemon one smells like gassy lemon, the green apple one smells quite sweet, green apple gassy sweet. The pungency of these, just smelling from the bottle, is significantly greater than the Holy Terp Jack).
My first effort was to mix 1g of shatter with .5g of CC G'rilla 13. It's very easy to do as has been shown in this thread by others. I ended up with 1.5ml of juice. I filled one of the CC burner pens with .5ml and one of the .5ml cartomizers, leaving .5 for later use.
Before I filled the burner pen I gave it a couple of draws to see if there was any inherent taste. Unfortunately there was but I hoped it would somehow dissipate or be eliminated by the juice. But no such luck, it just tastes wrong. Artificial. A little plasticky. Not gross but unpleasant.
Then I tested the cartomizer with the basic battery. The first draw was ok, not great, but better than the burner pen. It was like a slightly gassy, slightly artificial, slightly off version of the flavor of the original shatter. To be clear, it wasn't like the taste of the original shatter, it was a deformed, less pleasant version of it. The second draw was a little worse, adding more of the artificial/plasticky taste. The third draw was worse still and a slight burnt flavor now entered making it entirely unpleasant.
I was disappointed.
Then I tried a version where I used .5g shatter with .12 Grilla 13 and .13 Holy Terp Jack. Into a .5ml cart, one draw. Plastic. Gross. Hesitantly tried a second draw, super gross plastic burnt scratchy throat yuk. Assuming this is the PG/PEG. Just awful. Eliminating all PG/PEG mixers from the equation.
That's where I left it. My plan now, with the supplies I have left, is to try the lemon CC in a smaller ratio, like .3:1. I don't know if this will be too viscous. The other ones I made seem to have good flow so I'm hoping I can have it a little thicker (the higher the potency the better too, so that's not an issue).
My questions at the moment...
1) Do the cartomizers contribute or create any of the artificial or burnt taste?
2) Is it unrealistic to think you can achieve the flavor of branded carts like Bhang? In other words, is it unrealistic to make a juice that tastes like the starting material (without gross additions)?
3) I've read about people adding terpenes to their mixtures. Does this totally mask the artificial/plastic/burnt tastes? Does any other additive help with this issue?

Overall, everything worked (easy to make, potent result, stable juice, good color, no leaking) except the flavor, which really ruins everything else. I'm hoping additional efforts/experiments will improve matters but this is a very expensive area in which to err. I just need to eliminate the flavor issue.
Doesn't have to be the original flavor of the concentrate, but something that doesnt have the plastic/artificial taste.

So, any input or thoughts? Many thanks to the community here. I hope to make a contribution as I hammer out the process for this.

More than likely it is the PEG that is causing the bad taste, that has been my experience. I only use kosher PG/USP, it does not change the flavor of the concentrate in most quality vape equipment.

There are other elements that can have an effect on the flavor. Certain coils and drip tips can alter the flavor. There are differences in taste with glass, plastic, and metal drip tips (mouth pieces).

If you are going cheap, don't expect great results. I highly recommend variable voltage batteries. No matter how premium oil you have, using cheap equipment can totally ruin the taste.

Stay away from those premixed juices. Who knows what they put in there. Any mixing needs to be done, I do it myself. Again, I use kosher PG/USP and will sometimes add natural organic flavorings for the novelty.

I have used PEG for stealth, testing, and it works great for long term storage of mixed concentrate, but it tastes horrible. I would have to keep adding the organic flavoring to my mix to cover the horrible taste of the PEG.

If I were to try something else, that would be a quality homogenizer. The homogenizer set ups are very expensive though. Count on spending more than $1,000.

with the cheapo carts you should let it sit for at least an hour before even tasting it. The wicks need to get saturated and the coil needs to have oil on it. You were likely tasting burnt wick. Even when given time to steep, however, you can't really rip the cheap ones just a little puff, then give it a moment for the juice to flow back down the wick to the coil, that's why as you puffed each was worse than the last, the coil/wick was dryer and dryer each time.... did you see any air bubbles at any point? That's a good way to tell if the oil is making it down to the coil or not in between hits, if you see an air bubble your good, if you don't hold off for a minute or two.... just my .02
