My secret to THC E-Cig PG-Liquid... Potent, Effective, Cheap, Easy!!!

I am still many pages before finishing this thread, but want to do a quick fact check before I do something...

So, made my first QWISO, was shocked that it worked. Resulting concentrate from our Lemon Diesel tasted like lemon candy when used in my Haze. But I really made the QWISO to make liquid for my new (discontinued and on super sale) VIP pen by SSV/7th floor. I got Puff Majic naked, because my concentrate, made from trim, I might add, was delicious. The liquid...not so much. Mmmm...chemicals. I don't think Homer ever drooled dreaming about eating PG.

I bought, but did not use, Lemon extract. I read that @randomtoker has definitely used extract (mine is not organic, though, just Kroger) to flavor. I gather that steeping my Puff Majic with the extract before hand may be a good idea, but do I not also need to evap the alcohol out before combining, too?

Also - thank you, again, for FC. Otherwise, I would have used straight PG/VG blend, which is what my family has on hand for making tincture. Or I might have mixed lecithin. Reading a large portion of this thread is what got me to order the PM. Like the sound of CC, but I do worry about degrading my equipment and/or throat burn, so I will wait to finish the thread and see some more reports!

My PM liquid tastes nasty, but it works well. Just wish it tasted like lemon candy still! I finally got to use my new device, which I bought for stealth use with the other "smokers" when I start school in a couple of weeks. I usually vape only flower, but doing so with my Haze got me noticed - whether the device stank, my clothes did from hotboxing, or a combo, I do not kniw, but not something I care to repeat with people I have just met.

On a dummy note : neither the Haze or my Underdog required burn offs...so I forgot. Holy. Crap. Batman. Was that a painful and nasty hit! The taste and burn lingered for a long time!

Thanks for info on extracts. I don't want to use ecig flavors because I have read that some contain ingredients that are under scrutiny for being harmful. Holy Terps line might be up my alley?

@woolspinner - be extra careful if you choose to use a natural alternative to a chemical to assist in vaping. I will not disclose the natural element I am thinking of, because I do not want anyone to try it. Natural things can be extremely dangerous, considering we live in a chemical world. For example: using a natural additive in a vape oil mixture could cause bad reactions with something as simple as an ibuprofen tablet or Tylenol. As for flavorings, I only use NF organic flavorings, perfectly safe.

You may want to consider a box vape with a sub ohm coil.

Inadvertently Homer did drool for PG, it is in just about all processed foods and beverages! :) I do try to use the least amount possible in my vape mixtures and no longer use it with my e-cigg oil.

Good luck on your vaping endeavor!

Two questions : what is an NF organic? This was just extract in the baking aisle, TBH.

Box vape with coil? To drop dabs straight? If so - no need! My Haze vapes concentrates, just less stealthy, and even with design improvements, can leak. Pen seems more convenient. Maybe I should just deal with the awful flavor?

NF is a higher standard than USP. It does not require NF, as long as it is truly organic, that is what matters. It is a flavoring specific to vaporizing. I typically only use flavoring when I use PEG400. With PG/USP and an alcohol concentrate I don't need to add flavoring. The way I like to mix it, all I taste is ganja.

Yes, box mod with a 0.5 ohm or lower coil. That has been working best for me.

Here is another example of using something natural in a way that is bad for you. Using regular coconut oil mixed with a concentrate to vaporize in place of PG and VG.

When it comes to topical use, fractionated coconut oil is the best.

Not all box mods are huge. I got this really cool one that fits right in my hand, easy to conceal. It is less than 4" tall without the tank and just under 2" wide.

For vaping oil straight, I prefer the old eclipse vape that uses a glass vial and you need a torch to heat it. I only use that for non heat decarbed oils, like QWISO.

I've been trying the flavorless VE stuff. 1:1 ratio, tastes like the concentrate, but can get a kinda harsh/burning taste if I crank the atomizer button too long. Anyways, I'm digging it for the discrete, puff anywhere kind of feel it provides. Definitely wouldn't recommend flavored juices from VE, but the flavorless seems to be the same base as the holy terps line without the terps added. Not bad imo.

I think I'll save up for some CC stuff though, escape the PG,VG,PEG stuff.

Anyone else using a Nautilus mini tank? Ive read about others having problems with leaky tanks and I've had absolutely zero leaks since i started using it and really can't say enough for how great its been.

I have heard good things about the Nautilus mini. I turned someone on to the KangerTech subtank nano. They prefer the nano over the Nautilus, which was their favorite until trying the nano.

Maybe ill give that a try sometime. I also have a Aspire Atlantis which is a sub ohm tank which i used to use for nic ejuice until i got into RDA's. One of the main reasons i like the Nautilus mini is it gives me a nice buzz after 3-4 pulls so the 2ml i filled it up with 2 weeks ago is lasting me forever and i know a sub ohm tank would go through quite a bit more juice.

Sorry for jumping in at the end but is there a current consensus as to the best e-liquid recipe for tanks? The OP mentioned separation and I feel like filling a tank with a nonhomogenous solution will lead to coil failure.

Best is subjective of course. Check out like the last 30-31 pages of this thread though - there's so much information about recipes.

I'm currently using Connoisseur Concentrates The Solution, which is a terpene based solution. On my next run, I'm going to try adding some flavorless Vapeur Extract to the mix, which is a PG/PEG400 based solution.

Other solutions that people use are EJ Mix and Puff Majic.

I have a Nautilus mini that I love for standard nicotine ejuices. Haven't gotten my cannabis ejuice method where I want it to be before I go dumping 2mL into the Nautilus though, ha. I also have a Kanger subtank which I'm thinking may work better as the wick holes are larger. Gotta wait for my box mod to arrive before I can use that, & it's literally on the slow boat from china. I'll definitely report back once I get it set up though. Also considering the micro tfv4 as I wouldn't have to fill it with as much material as I would the subtank. We shall see...

My last attempt at cannabis ejuice was almost a success, it was a combination of CC, VE flavorless, & VG that didn't separate. However, it did sugar up after an evening of use. Next run I'm thinking will be the one, or if not at least a step closer.

That is a tough question to answer. First, it depends on your personal preference. Second, it depends on the quality of your concentrate. Third, it depends on the solvent used to make the concentrate. Of course, Fourth, your best results will be dependent on the vaping equipment used.

Separation is something to consider. With good, quality alcohol extracts, if I only make enough for my tank, I need not worry about separation if I use PG/USP and did a decent job mixing it. I just use a toothpick or the end of a syringe. I put a large spoon on a coffee mug warmer, put some concentrate on the spoon, them mix in some PG/USP, stir around with a toothpick or the tip of a syringe. After mixing, I suck it up into a clean syringe and inject into the tank. If it is a bottom coil tank, then there is no need to be concerned with separation for up to 2-4 weeks. The top coils with the wicks hanging down can cause separation more quickly.

As for my favorite vape equipment: The KangerTech toptank mini and the toptank nano with the 0.5 ohm vertical coil. I would like to try the Arctic V8 mini and some of the new Smok devices.

I just finally switched over to an Aspire K1 and am LOVING it, after about a year of using o.pen type carts. Using it with my CC and shatter mixture. Sucks cause I still have like 50 carts sitting in the cabinet but I'm not going back, this thing rocks.

I've been vaping naturally extracted tobacco liquids; it captures the whole tobacco alkaloid which is neat, and some of them just taste phenomenal. Single origin tobacco, custom blends-- the classical tobacconist revived for the digital age.

So i'm considering just making a spliff mix. maybe a touch of vodka to thin it out, as i vape 70/30 vg/pg.

Those terpene liquids are quite interesting, but i'm aiming for economic stealth, and i live somewhere with dab bars if i need some flava

Ok please correct me if i'm wrong-- I've been through a large chunk of this thread and have acquainted myself with the complications of VG-based infusion.

buuut-- What I have in mind is 50/50 vg/pg with perhaps 5% vodka as a solvent, and clear shatter. If I heat on a cup warmer setup for ~6 hours and mix frequently, shouldnt this result in a stable product? Thinking the nicotine int he liquid might be caustic enough to help a bit too, so may just add vodka as needed.

Worst case ontario i will have a few ml of juice that needs to be shaken up before use I reckon.

But please correct me as trying to avoid waste and unnecessary spending.

Worst case ontario....

Haha! Just saw Randy & Lahey live recently. Good stuff!

I've been able to get various waxes into solution with pg/vg mixes, however they separate with either time or heat (i.e. in the tank after use). I've read about some good results using vg & a homogenizer, however those cost a pretty penny. Or three. VG also severely limits potency. It's a shame because I generally prefer VG out of all the various vapable liquids but it really doesn't seem to get along with cannabis extracts at all. A mix of VG/PG/PEG would be better, but PEG irritates my throat & doesn't taste so great. However it's not really noticeable in small amounts.

I've not tried mixing with nic juice >3mg, and at that dilution I'm not sure if it would have much of an effect on the extract.

The vape is the new KangerTech Topbox mini kit, platinum series. I had to purchase the coil I am using separately. The kit does not come with the resistance and style coil that I like to use for cannabis oil. I am using a vertical 0.5 sub ohm coil. First time I tried this new vape with cannabis oil and it ROCKS.
It has a 4mL tank and I filled it to the top with my e-cannabis oil mix.
The cannabis oil in the picture is foggy with tiny bubbles, I just filled the tank. It is much more clear now. The vape with the e-cannabis oil gives sticky lips hits!

Cannabis oil on the left, e-cigg oil on the right.

Hi all,

First time poster... Let me start by saying I have been lurking these forums, among others, for a long time trying to perfect the concept of using a standard E-Cig as a delivery method for THC. I have tried and failed many times, to finally figure out the secret. I am returning the knowledge I have gained with my concept on the best way to achieve this.

I have a "Riva 510" e-cig. There are many just like it. I use it for nicotine mainly. It consists of 2 parts. Battery and tankomizer. The tank I use is called a "CE4+". Highly recommended for nic use. When I want to vape THC, I just unscrew the tankomizer and screw on my THC "cartomizer". The solution I fill the carts with is PG based mixed with CO2 Oil. I vape 3-5 hits and I am blown away high. This is perfect for traveling, stealth, and medicating in areas where legally you could not before.

Note: I believe USP Kosher PG (Propylene Glycol) to be safe to vape. If you are not comfortable, do your own research. I might post links to things explaining why it is safe later. Also, I am not trying to start a debate on PG based vapes vs. pure oil style vapes. I find this method to be FAR more convenient and less messy than pure oil carts. I will also post product links later if needed.

You Need:
Riva 510 Battery - $20
Smoktech Dual Coil Low Resistance (1.5ohm) XL Cartomizers - 5 for $15
Charger - $10
CO2 (BHO would work too) hash oil
USP Kosher PG - $10 for a BIG bottle
Syringes for injecting the solution into the carts - $5
Heat surface or temp. controlled flat grill
Glass cup, Shot glasses, or chemistry tubes for mixing.

  • I have experimented with different ratio's of PG : oil and I have found that 2:1 works very well. I heat the flat grill to 250-300 degrees F. I put a gram of oil into the shot glass, and put the shot glass into a slightly larger glass cup with some water. Similar to a double boil method, but without boiling. That cup goes on the flat grill. The water is displaced and comes up about halfway on the shot glass. The heat melts the hash oil to a nice amber sticky thick goo.

  • I measure the PG (in this case I would try 1.5-2 mL) and mix it into the shot glass with the oil. Keep an eye on it and mix it for 15-30 min, until its completely blended. You don't want the mixture to bubble. If you are worried about heat, I place another cup filled with water on the heat, with a candy thermometer reading temperature. It usually stays around 150 deg.

  • I suck up the solution with a syringe, and carefully inject it into the carts. You can use a dropper and drop the solution onto the polyfill in the carts too. You must do this while the solution is hot, because once it cools, the oil seems to separate from the PG. Once its in the polyfill, this no longer matters.

The carts hold 1.3-1.6 mL of liquid. Usually lasts anywhere from 100-200 good hits, can last for weeks of mild use before drying out. 2-3 hits and I'm medicated. I love it! I have not had any problems with the atty in the cart getting clogged, or leaking. I have been doing this for months with success!

I am trying to find a way to make the solution stay mixed even when cooled, and use it in the tankomizer. I am also testing other carts to find the best one to use. I have tried supplementing 20% of the PG with VG, to increase vapor production. It seems to work. I would like to try adding a flavoring while the solution is heating. Perhaps peppermint, to mask the oil smell and increase the stealth.

I couldn't really find this information in one place anywhere, so I thought I would share the whole picture. I encourage you to try, and report your results. If you have further information that will help direct my trials and errors, please post! I would like for this idea to take off!

Happy Vaping!
But wait, it seperates? I've done this exact method before and couldn't receive a single hit. Do you know of any ways to create a liquid using BHO and a pressure cooker.?. As well, anyone else with ideas it is helpful. Anyone that's had ONE successful experience, please stand up.

After the bubbles settled it cleared up nicely. Also it vaped and tasted a little better.

I'm probably not the best person to answer your question, but I may be able to help. I have heard others speak of the same problems with BHO and PG. I have heard the solution is PEG400. I prefer to use PEG400 from Tex Lab Supply that is NF and USP certified. I have only used it with alcohol extracts. When using the PEG400 you will want to add some flavoring. The flavorings have their pros and cons. Another thing with PEG400 is you will probably want to change vaporizers due to the thickness. I have found the new box mods by KangerTech work great for thicker oils. I like the Topbox mini with the Toptank mini. It is also possible that a drop or 2 of EJ mix may help the BHO blend with the PG/USP and the PEG400.

I think one of my next experiments will be with PEG and flavoring with the KangerTech nano. I must admit the mixture has a super gel look, and is most impressive. Also, using the PEG400 it seems to stay infused forever. I think with the new box mods PEG is a good alternative since they can handle the thicker oil. Adding flavoring adds stealth.

I mixed up some concentrated e juice out of some rosin and put it in a cartridge for thick oils.It had been hitting good and i was getting high from one hit with this stuff for about two weeks now.I have been noticing that it is starting to burn my troat and not getting me as high.I think the coil has burnt out of the cart? The problem is the coil in this cart is not replacable. How should i go about getting the oil into another tank?I would also like to add some pg flavoring to get it a little more thinner. Can i do this while it is still in the tank?

Yes but do i have to heat the oil up somehow before it will suck into the syringe? Also can i add pg flavoring to it without heating it or is that a no go?It is like a .6ml co2 tank for thick oils.I got off ebay.I should have used my nano but i didnt and now i stuck with this oil i cant vape.I would like to thin it down because i think it is a tad to thick for the nano tank.

There are others here with more experience with this than me who might chime in, but I would extract the juice with a syringe and transfer into a glass container that is safe to be heated. Then try adding the PG and heat at about 140F. But, not sure the PG alone will do the trick for you - you might need PEG400 or one of the premixed solutions.

What did you originally mix in with the rosin?

I didnt have much maybe a gram of rosin i put it in a shot glass and mixed maybe 5 drops of ej mix,A half ml of pg and like 5 drops of flavoring.I stirred it for maybe 5 mins and put it in the tank.I only take one hit a night and that has worked wonderfully up untill now after two weeks. When i hit it it feels like its burning the back of my throat and also taste burnt. It hits just like a burnt out coil and not getting me as stoned.
