After I saw this thread, I finally decided to register to FC lol.
I am an avid runner. I run daily and the distance depends on how my body feels. But ever since I have gotten my vape, I habitually vape some Sativa 15-30 minutes before my runs.
My best runs were usually my longest ones, mainly because I was able to pace myself and relax more than I would normally. However, those are usually from when I vape at lower temps (quicker inhale w/ MFLB). I'm assuming the less cannabinoids that are released, the more I am able to keep my body moving.
I find that once I'm allowed to free my mind, running on the trails are amazing. I feel a lot closer to nature. The atmosphere of the tall redwoods, and chirping birds, and the smell of the forest combined with the powerful herb allows myself to drift off into pure bliss as I soar through the trees without any care.
Before I started vaping, I would usually smoke a nice personal j and go on runs right afterwards. Those runs would always feel great, but anything longer than 40 minutes and my lungs would start suffering.
I have not noticed any slipping progress in my running after vaping. In fact, I have been running on par or even faster than I have been before I started actively smoking. During running camp 2 weeks ago, I have used my vape daily, up to 5 different sessions a day. But everyday I managed to crank out tons of mileage without any negative effects on my running.
Honestly, I think my vape has helped me get into the best shape of my life. At least so far.
[EDIT] (aug 8th, 2001):
I just got back from a 13.1 mile run today. I vaped some Casey Jones 10 mins prior to the run. I was able to pace myself at a great pace and even go slow enough to warm up in the beginning. However, soon I was running pretty quick, going up and down hills, finishing in 90 minutes. My pace was a sub 7 mile pace. Easily one of the best runs I have run ever.
One thing I noticed due to my vaping was that my runner's high kicked in around 55-60 minutes into the run. I'm assuming since the highs are so similar and since my body is used to releasing the endorphins after getting high, the body was able to recognize the runner's high earlier than it used to.
