My first DHV

Hi everyone,
After years and years of smoking joints, I want to move away from combustion! Lately, I’ve been smoking around 3.5 grams of hash per day (I live in Spain, where there are legal clubs).
I’ve been reading various posts for days… it’s not easy to choose! I think a sipper would be more suitable for me (I feel like it better mimics a joint),
And seeing the various positive comments , I’ve looked into the Mighty+, Solo 3, TM2, and Venty.
At first, I was undecided between the Mighty+ and the Solo 3… then I started looking into the Venty and read that many Mighty+ owners preferred the Venty after trying it, thanks to its better airflow and cooler vapor.
What worries me is the E04 error issue, though I’ve read that it might have been resolved!
I'm really tempted! Do you think it would be a good purchase considering my needs?
I know I’ll only be vaping flower with this device… but since I’ve always preferred hash, I was thinking of getting a Puffco Peak Pro 3DXL—would that work well?
I’m open to any advice, I’m a newbie looking for help! :) ty

I'm still pretty new here myself so welcome. I think the names you 've mention are very prevalent, but i think there are others than can give you a better perspective

If hash is your main material then there's not a lot of good options...
IMHO there's very few devices that are convenient with hash.
Puffco products are intended for full melt extracts / concentrates. Traditional hash will not work in it.

As mentioned before, the vapman is excellent with traditional hash. The BAKx or Vaponic derived devices are something to consider as well.

Thanks, everyone! I hope vaping weed helps me lose the craving for hash then :)
I’m really undecided between the Venty and the Solo 3. As you said, they both seem like great devices!
For hash, you’ve convinced me with the Vapman (and if I like it, I’ve seen the Taroma 360 for the future, but I think that one has a learning curve).
I think I’ll order either the Venty or the Solo 3 by tomorrow, and if I can wait until 04/20 for the other, I might save some money!
Thanks again guys, and congrats on the forum...I’m reading a lot of interesting stuff!

For vaping traditional hash, many grams a day, i suggest the Bakx from Lamart.

I use old skool hash in exactly the same way you'd use flower with my Enano XL. The only difference is that you need to clean the hash WPA more than one I use for flower.

I think people sometimes overestimate the difference in vaping old skool hash. I will say that the Vapman and Vaponic are probably the best choices though. Both quality vapes, and the great thing about the Vaponic is that it's cheap enough to get along with any other vape you decide to buy.

If it is down to these two, I would go for the Solo3 (I have one) for many of the reasons @chillAtGVC mentioned. I don't have a Venty to compare but I know the Solo3 does a great job with hash and concentrates.

For hash,

S3 can handle hash, use it upside down with WPA, I would highly recommend getting another separate glass piece, to use it dry and or with water, if you don't like the sound of that, the all-in-one venty would be the better option (using the stock short straight solo stem is pretty unbearable imo unless super low temps and even then not ideal, 420edc and good vibes boro have great alternative glass stem and WPA options)

It’s ok to be concerned with e04 on the Venty but
1) they offer 3 years of warranty
2) someone found out that e04 is due to dropping units in the ground. New units are produced differently and this problem should be a thing of the past even if you drop it.
If you get old stock 3 years is plenty of time to replace it.
I wouldn’t be so vocal about it but it’s one of the best vapes I’ve ever had and it’s a pity that it gets such a bad word of mouth for e04.
I wouldn’t recommend it for traditional hashish btw. It’s 80% convection. The mighty which is probably 50/50 convection/conduction would handle traditional hash better.

Hi and welcome,

Consider that you also have a 2+ packs of tobacco per week habit to tackle.
A cheap refillable E-cigarette and some salt based nicotine could help to keep the nicotine monkey calm while you transition away from combustion.
PM for suggestions

Wondering if any of your local CSCs have a Volcano or other DHVs for member use?

Many great suggestions above!
IMO, buy the one you think will do the best job and then learn that device inside and out.
Make it work as well as possible for you and your material.

Experience seems to indicate that our first vape device will NOT be our last vape device....

Cheers
