Music from the mid 60's to late 70's (when creative genius reigned..)

That is little Jimmy McCulloch (died in his mid 20's. You can guess the cause.) playing guitar in the Pete Townshend/Kit Lambert produced band Thundercap Newman in the above post. Jimmy went on to play for Sir Paul in Wings.
"Thunderclap Newman was a British one-hit wonder band that Pete Townshend of the Who and Kit Lambert formed around New Year 1969 in a bid to showcase the talents of John "Speedy" Keen, Andy "Thunderclap" Newman and Jimmy McCulloch.
From 1969 until 1971, the nucleus of the band consisted of the songwriter Speedy Keen (vocals, drums, guitar), Andy "Thunderclap" Newman (piano) and Jimmy McCulloch (guitar). Pete Townshend (using the alias "Bijou Drains") played bass guitar on their album and singles, all of which he had recorded and produced at the IBC Studio and his Twickenham home studio. The band augmented its personnel during its tours: in 1969 with James "Jim" Pitman-Avery (bass guitar) and Jack McCulloch (drums); and in 1971 with Ronnie Peel (bass guitar) and Roger Felice (drums). The band folded in April 1971 but was resurrected by Andy Newman and his colleagues around 2007." Wikipedia

Jimmy with Wings singing his song. He wrote the music and a former bandmate wrote the lyrics:

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Song-poem Back history for these 3 selections. :tinfoil: Some might find the musical topic strange, but there was some 'creative genius' somewhere.
I'll leave that to your interpretaion. Enjoy. :D

Song poem usually refers to song lyrics that have been set to music for a fee. This practice, which has long been disparaged in the music industry, was also known as song sharking and was conducted by several businesses throughout the 20th century in North America.
There is a doc that I owned that followed this phenom for those curious.

Smoke It: The Pot - Gene Marshall

This was one of my fav song way back when. Maybe 5th - 6th grade or middle school?
Build Me Up Buttercup - The Foundations, I looked it up they were together from 1967 - 1970 only two major hits.
I knew all the words to this song and still do. Music brings back so many wonderful memories.

1977 . The Alan Parsons Project - Breakdown and Wouldn't Want To Be Like You

Always thought the music sounded like a cross between Steely Dan and the vocals of the Hollies. Of course there are many other artists that are embedded in the sound. :)
