There was sort of a competition at the time, between the Mashed Potato and the Wah-watusi for the best teenie-bopper dance tune. There's the line in the Watusi, "Baby baby that's the way it goes. Nothing happens when you mashed potato." Few know though, that it was actually the Orlons backing up Dee Dee in her song.
