I notice the Mothership thread hasn't gotten any love recently, so I figured I would share a few shots of my favorite Mothership rig. Purple Rain / Sublime / Slime Ball Rig

@malachi Nice pickup! From The Cave I'm guessing?

Mine's not new but I finally got around to shipping it in to MS for a legit neck fix (after 4 months ) and have to say it looks awesome!

They threw in the neat little mothership sticker too :D

And these aren't mine but been seeing more of these lately and just have to share... the FTK (fab torus klein)

A clear version sold for $14,000 so can't even imagine what this thing sold for (think someone said it had a $20k price tag? but not positive, would honestly think it'd be more)

stay true to yourselves
I can see how it takes some skill to make.. And a lot of time..
But that cost's more than a car! Who the fuck would buy that :o
(then again.. I would pay to see a function vid)

Some pics of the Faberge Mini.

While I still prefer my OG Mothership Mini for a travel rig (it's just the perfect size), this piece is probably my vote for "most baller travel rig" - at least that I've ever experienced. Workmanship is Mothership (i.e. flawless). Design is exceptional. Would I have liked to have been able to afford one of the Elite color versions? Fuck yes. But those prices are hard to justify unless you're seriously wealthy or are just buying as an investment.

It's gonna be interesting to see what these little beasts start selling for on the used market given the insanely limited supply.

Today I just hit a piece the likes of which I never imagined I would ever see or touch...

But, being that I lived in Bellingham (Home base for the Mothership) for ~5 years, and currently reside about an hour away.. Sometimes things happen..

I've had the great fortune of being able to hit 3 different fab eggs before.. from 8.75 on up over 10"....

I am truly in awe and not at all worthy of what I was able to experience today...

If you could... Imagine a Faberge egg... that is the size of an actual egg.

I've been told that 4 were made... One was sold... the other 3 are all owned by Mothership artists...

I also got to introduce one of the artists responsible for bringing these amazing things into the world

to the Persei/Hercules/Nibbler XL

I dare to wonder what kind of crazy bubbler he could conjure up for the Hercules...

The Egg and the Klein were both designed by quave. Jake C has been spending his time on the Elite line and worked buckets.

Deppe, WC, and JP don't touch as much as they used to and spend a lot of time on custom pieces and doing shows.

I also know that there are people from Mothership blowing with "Elks that run" as well.

The industry is changing. Companies and artists like MS, ETR, Quave, Joe Peters, and Elbo, are driving glass prices through the roof. The days of 200 to 300 bucks on glass being expensive are over. My friend bought a dome that was 3k. A fucking bucket.

As I said, I'm fortunate enough to have this piece due to a special opportunity. I could never afford another.

Quick question for all of you fortunate enough to own honey buckets: how far down does the center straw in the ofz cap go into the actual bucket? Most of the way? Does it stop above or below the slit in the bucket? Thanks!

It protrudes really far. Donno if its even with the slit or just above but pretty far. Far enough to get dirty with oil pretty often.
