Make some for VapCap tips (8mm), and you’ll make many VapCap friends happy!

& kool.

BTW, do you have a website, or should we email?

cragglass@gmail.com
I would like to know as well.
This is turning out to be a very pleasant surprise of a thread.
@Monkeyhouse , I'm looking forward to buying one of these myself. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Will you update when you have more stems in stock to sell?

@stark1 and @Obsessed 2, or anyone for that fact I will make a post here when I have more stock and you can email me at Cragglass@gmail.com, first come first serve.

I have glass coming in this week for the Dynavap and the Imp, along with more thick 18mm male and 14mm female stems.

I currently don't have a website but one I have production going more steadily I'll look in to it along with search engine optimization. I'm also looking to revamp my Instagram to help get my name out there. For now this thread will be my primary avenue of getting information down until I'm satisfied with the designs.

You know, something clicked for me last night while medicating,... Chainlink, cooler,... Colonel Klink? I'm feeling the Hogan's Heroes theme,... anyone?

Stems are looking nice so far. Looking forward to trying one of these out on my Splinter and Lil' Bud! Name wise, what about the 'Cool Monkey'? Just flowing with your name here... Personally, I kinda like 'The Cooley'. Anywho, keep up the great work. Looking forward to using some of your stems down the road!

@Monkeyhouse, sent gmail to Cragglass on the 19th requesting a slot on your waiting list
For a cooling glass, have not received acknowledgement (so far).

Came home from a very dry work trip to find a box of lovely stems waiting for me as I walked through the door.

I grabbed the shorty stem "nubs" a longer XL8R style stem and a hopper cooling stem. So far I'm really enjoying them all, they are super thick, way thicker then any of the others on the market i've tried. Amazing value for the quality. Still doing some lab research but I'd thought I would toss up some pics of these beauties.

That’s a roasting tube from @Alan it’s probably my nicest vape accessory. Accepts basket screens, dosing capsules and has a 14mm and 18mm taper for glass connections. It’s on the grasshopper cooling stem and I was heating it with a splinter Z

Hi everyone, sorry I've been quite these past few weeks, as some of you know I had a family emergency a few weeks back and I've also been away from home, so I haven't had much time to get work done on these stems. But today I was finally able to put some real hours on the torch.

I've come to the realization that the inner diameter of these thicker 18 mm male joints is just too small for what I'm trying to do and I'm wasting too much glass. So I've decided to order some glass that is the same size and thickness as that on the 14 mm female joints as it seems to be the perfect size for the chain link and attach the 18 mm joints to these.

The female joints come on glass tubes that have a diameter of 19 mm and a thickness of 3 mm, the site I regularly order glass from was out of stock of this exact dimension but I was able to get some 19 mm tubing with 2.5 mm thick walls and back ordered the 3 mm walled tubes. These initial few runs will also stay at the $30 price point but may see an increase in price down the line as Pyrex tubing was on sale so I was able to get it cheaper than regularly.

This change comes with several advantages, the first being that I will have to scrap less joints as I will be able to make the chain link portion of the stem and then add the joint afterwards, so if any cracks form while making the chain link they cannot spread to the joint effectively ruining it and i can scrap that glass at a lower cost than scrapping joints. In addition to this the restriction will be greatly reduced. Lastly, and this is subjective, the bigger holes look nicer.

This does mean the wait for finished stems will be a bit longer but in the meantime I'll be working on Dynavap stems and Imp stems, which may double as E nano/Underdog stems. I also have a small stock of Hopper stems and will be sending out emails to those on the wait list.

I know this has been a rather slow process so I'd like to thank you all for your patience and continued support.

Great update! Thank you.

Also, I wanted to follow up with you because i never got an email confirmation that I was put on the waitlist for the 18mm chainlink stem. This may have been during your away time, so just following up.

Thanks again for your awesome work!

Great work dude, love the chain link design. If you wanted to avoid the tungsten marks you can pop two holes and push them together with a bowl push or reamer rather than drilling a hole with the tungsten. It might be a bit tricky so small but often yeilds cleaner and more predictable reaults ime.

Keep it up dude and love to see the support of this awesome community! You guys rock!

@davesmith thanks for the advice, I did try that early on and as you said, the space I'm working with is just a bit too small. What I've come up with is to use a tungsten pick with a very slight bend on the tip, I heat up both sides on the glass and pull them in gently, the. I heat on side and push through with the cold tungsten, once the glass has cooled I give the pick a twist and the bent tip is enough to crack the tip. I know this is not an amazing way to to it, and I've used the flame itself on bigger tubes (32 mm diameter) to pop the whole, but in this small space this is the best technique I've found that gives me clean results. As long as I melt the two sides together enough the glass never breaks past that seal. I've also had less issues with the larger glass on the 14mm joints because I can melt the glass together better without expanding the whole too much and relieve all the built up stress. With the glass on the 18mm joints it's hard to get a nice clean seal and have enough space on either side to provide adequate airflow so I'd often times get too the third or fourth whole and the first would form a crack all the way into the joint, and if I kept the whole piece warm enough and managed to get it in the kiln with no cracks, it'd crack in the annealing process.

Hello everyone, just a quick update. I made some Dynavap stems while waiting for the new glass and thought I'd share.

I've made 3 styles of stems. 1 cooling stem and 2 bodies that are the same length of Dynavap bodies. I only made a few of the bodies as they were made from the tail ends of the tubes as I was cutting the blanks for the cooling stems. TheTbodies will work with standard condensers and mouth pieces but not the Omni condenser as the inner diameter of the glass is just a little too small. The only difference between the bodies is the presence (or lack) of a carb hole. If there is sufficient interest in these bodies I will make bigger batches but if not I will continue to make them from the tail ends in small batches.

Here are some pictures to give a reference to the size of the stems

I'm testing each stem to make sure that the vapcap tip can fit in both sides but due to the slight variances in the glass the tip fits in one side better than the other on some stems while others accept it easily on both sides.

I've already started sending emails out to those on the wait list so keep an eye out if you are on there.

I should have the glass for the 18mm stems this weekend and will hopefully have a positive update next week.

Have a great weekend everyone!

@BigJr48 For right now I'm sticking to the 18mm male joint vapes (such as the tubo and splinter), hopper (can also be used on any vape with a 14mm WPA), Dynavap, and the Imp (waiting on the new body before I start those). Log stems are in the near future, and maybe arizer stems but I need to find glass that fits. But I'm not trying to bite off more than I can chew just yet so those are on hold until I can make the stems with no issues. What Vapes did you have in mind?
