Yeah i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.....maybe overfilling the bowl? Is a 1/2 bowl effective for clouds? I was afraid when @ShayWhiteGrow was having an initially poor experience due to not filling it enough. I've tried various grinds, slow pull, faster pull....i'm not sure....the only time I had success was with a small basket and the glass core. Think it all may be spoken for already bro, but if not i'll hang on to the GC for you indeed!

Prepare for FLAVOUR CITY!
I've had the best clouds when my weed was dried out completely and both were at room temp, weed and vape. Then I fill the basket almost too the top loosley then put the basket into the mv while its heating up then slap in the lid with the flixicone+ and @Ratchett SonG to the bubbler. I use a medium, steady, long draw because of the convective properties of the mv the first 2 draws are pure flavor as the load climbs to temp. The rest will milk the glass no problem for me with long steady draws. I get milk but not like conduction milk. It doesn't seem as thick, but the potency is way there. This vape really lets you climb the temp spectrum fully, slowly. Thus letting us enjoy the best taste, and most boiling points longer. Imho. Patience young grasshoppers. ..I mean MVers:tup:

Agree with the post before, if you want to look some MV clouds @Roger D posted some amazing videos out of his teflon core (around page n°40).

For thick clouds you need very dry medicine, fine grind and long and slow draw until you see the vapor become thicker, here you can increase your drawing rate as you want. A big water tool is better imo cause if too small I'm starting to get lungs irritation before to be able to draw faster.

My favourite way to use it is dry and you can get pretty thick clouds with both teflon and glass versions, just a bit less learning curve with the glass one.

@biohacker Minivap can pull out some massive clouds but they are not easy to get and lead to some serious coughing (at least for me!), wasn't you able to test the Lazylathe unit?

My meds are properly cured, from licensed producers in Canada.... the meds practically crumble in my hands, so I think pretty dry. Never an issue in any of the other vapes i've ever tried. I used the exact same technique that you have described, with the fine plate from the Kananstor GR8TR, and I do see the vapour building up, but it's super diluted and thin...very transparent and yes, very hard on my airways due to the tremendous quantity of hot air that is required to extract.

With both cores I could not get thick clouds with water or dry. And dry seared my lungs on green and red. Blue and purple just didn't satisfy anything save for flavour.

I did test @lazylathe many moons ago, it works similar to my teflon core which is amazing for flavour, but even less clouds than the glass core. I think i'd get the results i'm looking for by loading direct into the chamber without the flexicone, however I was unwilling to try it and it has since found a new home. I'm sure the member will post his experiences and they will probably be much different than mine. The MV is just not for everyone...I simply prefer my Mighty, which is confirmation because I thought this before, but VAS got me with the sale!

Looks like mine may be lost in the mail for now...
Have to call the post office today and find out what is going on! It has been "Out for delivery" since the morning of the 21st...
Hoping for a XMas miracle! Lol!!!

Bummer dude! FESTIVUS MIRACLE! It MUST be today!

I just got my upgraded teflon unit from sticks&stones but it smells of a burning plastic smell that I never had before. Is it supposed to be like this?

Both new cores did not smell like burning plastic, but there is definitely some sort of manufacturing residue or some sort of "new" smell. I think it may be the rubber ring on top? I think it went away after 1-2 uses but didn't really bother me.

MV's should not smell like burning plastic.

Hello everyone.
I recently received a MV w/ a teflon core in a trade.
I didn't know anything about them except they're reputation for flavor.
When I first tried it i thought it was broken...no vapor dry,.. and slight thru water.
I added about 5-10 extra seconds to my draw which helped but not too much.
I read the decarb ring helps here at the conduction cost but I gave it a shot anyway.
Taste was differant but clouds not so much.
..and it fits really loose in there...I'm not sure why it's not to spec...maybe for expansion?...but it rattles around.
I put my teflon kit back in but doubled the screen between the ring and the tube and decided to go straight to the chamber w/ out a basket.
..the differance was night & day....big thick evo like clouds thru my ion and lung busters dry...so that's how iv been using...and mainly enjoying the unit.
At first I was timid to go to the chamber because I didn't want to dirty up my machine....but it cleans up like any other you load directly,...and after a few months I'll just replace the loading chamber rings which are cheap and bring it to new.
I'm not sure if going basket less is "cheating"....but it makes a large differance.

So I'm looking to buy an extra power cord for my Minivap so I will be able to vape while plugged in and also have the battery charging at the same time. Does anyone know of any US sellers that might carry the power cord for the minivap? That or if anyone has an extra power cord lying around that they don't use anymore I would gladly buy it off of them. I'm only asking because with the shipping costs over from hermes if I buy it from them this $30 cable turns into a $46 cable.

I was surprised that there was only one plug in cord included... that's something that should be addressed IMO if selling at regular full price. For the sale though no complaints! They should also include a WPA in the full LE kit.

I have a strong feeling that my MV experience would have been completely different if I took the time and simply filled up the chamber without the flexicone. Just wasn't sure if that's how this thing was designed for use.

I say try before you die hihi...

As far as I know it was designed without the baskets.

It will take a bigger load in the chamber if you want to. Just do not overfill it in order to prevent tunneling of the air flow inside the load and /or block the airflow too much.

I would definitely try it before selling it on.

Myself, still very happy with it.

The QC MiniVap has finally landed!
4 days lost and then delivered around 9/10PM last night!

Quick first impressions:
- I like the new black interior, looks classy!
- I can use this version on Green with the MV straw with no heat issues!
- Flavor seems to still be there but may diminish faster? more testing required
- Very fast to green but flashes if you hit it too soon or your draw is long.
Heat up to Red is also fast but also requires a heat soak for no blinking during hit, seems odd since core is already hot.
- Only tried the small basket so far.
- ABV is also darker than my older teflon core so more goodies being extracted!
- Clouds seem to be similar to the regular Teflon core except for this fact:
On the old Teflon core when i get no vapor on Green and step up to Red i very seldom get any more vapor. With the QC, more vapor is there on Red!

So far, after a 15 minute session i am very happy!
It works as advertised with a faster heat up time! A worthy upgrade for me!

Wake and Bake with Bruce Banner in the QC MV on 24/12/16!

Second session!

Started on Green and first pull almost choked me! So thick and strong and overpowering!
Had me sweating almost instantly!
Backed down to Blurple and it is a lot better now.
Flavor was kind of massacred in that first hit, so we will have to do this all over again...
For science...:science::freak:

Happy Festivus!!

EDIT:
I LOVE this new core!
The MiniVap can be incorporated into my regular routine now!
It hits hard and clouds up my big RooR tube nicely!
My kind of vape!

It could also be my first experience with White Widow that is causing all of this!! LMAO!!

I never used mv without the basket and couldn't handle the top two temps without some extra cooling from third party add ons for years.

Then I skyped with Hermes a couple of weeks ago when we were testing the quick core, and they told me about a user in New Zealand who reported more comfortable hits using it with a direct pack. So I've been using my mv ever since by directly packing and am having no problem with the vapor on the highest temp setting with the stock stem! It's the only way I pack it now.

It also makes an ungodly mess and I now understand why some units show up for repairs looking horrible. I think instead of a delrin WPA, we need a loading funnel from @Ratchett !

LMAO @lazylathe! Dude, you know you're going to have to back it up with a video now! Then again, you probably can't function lol

Correct! For about 4 hours straight!
I watched a documentary on the church of scientology... Crazy stuff!!!

I tried to shoot a video using some Gorilla Glue #4 but it is not as cloudy as the WW.
So i will try again tomorrow... The GG#4 has wrecked me again!

This is a Merry Festivus indeed!

Off to finish the GG#4 on Red through my RooR!

Edit after hit! Should have recorded that one!! Holy whitewall!
That one made me cough

Heat up is still critical if you want max performance out of the MV, even though it is a "quick core".
The 2 minutes to green just means the light stops blinking and you will get very light vapor.
Allow it to heat soak for another 5 minutes and it starts to shine.
Once that first small basket is done i reload quickly and get a massive performance improvement.
Flavor is still great all the way through now

I only seem to cough when i load a new basket and hit it at Red.
Too intense a flavor burst! Terpene city...
Ramble realized and ended...

Well I'm gonna cave and get a glass quick core to accompany my teflon core. I figure why not, I love the teflon but variety is the spice of life! My only issue is the only colors available for cores in the MV store are black and silver. I want blue! So I just sent Patricia over at minivap an email and hopefully she'll be able to help me out, otherwise I'll be rocking a blue and silver vape!

Unless your looking to get just the core by itself then in that case I did not see an option for that either.
