I emailed Davinci about this yesterday. They said it wouldn't be covered :/

That's odd as previous Ascent drops have been covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Maybe they just want me to pay full price? They've also said Vapornation isn't an authorized dealer.

So I'm wondering just where these places are getting their Ascents from if not DaVinci? And if they were sold by DaVinci why wouldn't they be covered?

That's more than likely what's happening here. No counterfeits, just a big shipment of DaVincis that aren't coming directly from DaVinci.. or old, unsupported stock?

Well, thanks for the heads up, I was springing for the Ascent! But maybe backing up a bit might be the thing to do, if true.

Help me decide between the three 7th floor models currently on sale at massdrop! (LSV, DBV, SSV)

How do you see yourself using it the most? Do you think you would prefer a whip or direct draw? Will you be using with a water piece?
All three will deliver tasty clouds with good vapor production. The LSV will be the better choice IMO for direct draw, using with a bubbler, or if you are opposed to a whip.
The DBV and SSV will both attach to bubbler just as easily but are not really designed for direct draw without the whip. I have seen people rig them to use like this though.

Yeah, I've thought about just waiting a few weeks and seeing what sort of black friday deal they do. Unless Massdrop gives some sort of statement on what they're willing to do to back the Ascents. Lots of people bringing it up on the discussion page.
