If MD contacts Storz and Bickel directly to arrange for the drop in the first place, then they would more than likely be considered "authorized retailer". I'm not sure though. Maybe you could contact S&B to ask them about warranty on MD sales.

FYI...just heard from Ash in Customer Support. He said:
(1) Volcano IS from the manufacturer
(2) mfg warranty applies
(3) should receive it within 3 weeks
Starting to feel a little bit better now seeing two positives. Has anyone tried the Adjust-a-bowl thing? How long do you reckon it'll take in the post to UK? I'd preferably like to order one if I'm going to keep the PnP and if I am one of the unlucky ones who faces the mouth piece issues, then at least the solution will be here by the time the problem arises.
Is this problem only there when you use the mouthpiece or also with the WT?
Also, the battery on this thing is around 2000 mah from what I've heard? I saw a battery power pack on VapeFiend stating it could charge your battery four times but the capacity advertised was 1000 mah, I'm assuming they mean 10,000? I have a portable Anker Astro Slim 2 battery rated at 6500 mah, could I power or charge the PnP with the USB cable from that? or does it require a special voltage output? If I can then that solves the battery issues out, leaving only the mouth piece worry
