Does it matter if the reddit promoter is also established on FC? I don't know the guy either. Luckily, I'm not sending money to him, I'm just casting a vote on MassDrop, and then if the offer meets my expectations, giving MassDrop (which I've used before) my credit card details.
I believe theres a mass drop going on in reddit on r/vaporents
I don't think you need another one atax!
You're right. He needs many many more. Then we get better deal. He resells them, everyone wins!
Well... not really. But, wishful thinking.
I couldn't log in .
So what is the price for 1 Solo ?
That's a pretty good price .
But I will wait ,
My next Solo will be for $ 99.99 ...or less .
Fair enough mister Two Solo's!
This massdrop thing is starting to sound like spam as I just said last night it is in many places. I have seen at least three different solo massdrops on there own site which makes no sense. I don't know anything about regedit by my guess is there are more then one person doing it there as well. So all this is doing is spamming the thread unless there is ONE site with ONE offer.
OK, I moderate the /r/vaporents subreddit, where I'm known as Bit_Chewy. Ialmostthewholepost is a frequent contributor, and has been for at least 6 months - and on Reddit in general for well over 2 years, with some 12000 karma (meaning a very active redditor). We try to keep a pretty tight rein on spam on the sub, and I'm satisfied that this doesn't qualify.
Sorry if I came off smug .
It's just that I've seen it go from $ 300 to $ 125 in a year and a half , that's all .
You'll really enjoy yours ...soon .
As it should be and is, warranty is through Arizer.Who is going to honor the warranty...cause us usa people don't really like to ship to Canada?
As it should be and is, warranty is through Arizer.
MassDrop is American so you guys get good deals on shipping. We Canadians get dinged $20 shipping and $20 to $30 for customs, making it significantly more expensive even though Arizer's manufacturing is in Canada. For us Canadians, having the chance to get the price you guys pay and potentially have the shipping in Canada for Canadian customers to cut about $30 to $35 dollars in getting the product to us is like being the giver in surprise buttsecks and somehow still getting a reach around. Virtually non existent for that to happen.
For you Americans or other, shipping would be as normal. We have just had a significant response in Canada.
The last MassDrop advised that the warranty was through Arizer, which it how it would be regardless of where you buy it such as a head shop or eBay or online store, unless a retailer offers some form of extended warranty above and beyond the manufacturer warranty which I haven't found.
As it should be and is, warranty is through Arizer.
For those of you involved with the Massdrop, isnt this a better deal?

Sorry this isn't true when we use vendors in the USA. They take care of us if we have issues so we don't have the expense of sending the solo/charger to Canada. It really isn't worth it for the people in Canada either cause you can get it without looking for $160 in Canada no boarder fees or taxes. So unless it is maybe $100 with shipping so 90+10 IMO it isn't worth the hassle as we have been having some charger issues recently. I suggest really adding up all the fees and see what you end up with before you decide to do it. I believe someone already mentioned to have an authorized dealer who works with us is worth it in some cases and this may be one of them. Ebay is a whole different story. We work with PV in Canada and Puffitup in the USA and they both treat us well.
For loading, I use a few twist of the scs and pack down with no issue. I do leave a smidge of space if I am inclined as not to foul up the ss.
I'm not sure that's right, at least the 'as it should be' part. Typically dealer agreements involve more than just cheap prices, the dealers are often required to provide service and other support to end users to justify discounting the prices. This is why 'the gray market' thrives in many cases. Unethical dealers seek more profit by ducking their contracted obligations forcing the maker to take up the slack.
The maker, of course, has to 'pass the costs along' to those of us playing by the rules. No free lunch here, either.
My warranty problem with my first Solo was covered by PIU "as it should be" IMO. That was the agreement. I expect PV to stand behind the ones I bought from them, as they too are legitimate dealers honoring their FTA.
Have you actually checked with the maker to see if he's cool with this, or just guessing? Delta 9 and Magic Flight have both had very public disagreements here. D9 had to resort to charging customers who bought from 'shady' dealers (not saying that's the case here) who were not honoring their Fair Trade Agreement $50 for warranty service to avoid penalizing those of us who did not. MF had to put up with scam artists on Ebay who sanded the serial numbers off (highly illegal in most states) to cover their tacks.
So, have you actually asked, does this have the maker's support? I suspect PIU and PV aren't real happy with being undercut......nor IMO should they be. I'm all in favor of low prices, but I'm also dead set against rewarding those who break their commitments.....and penalizing those who honor theirs.

Because shipping is $26.95 for Canadians, and customs runs around the same. So any Canadians buying from eBay pay about $50 extra just to get it shipped.
Seems really odd you are paying customs on this since its made in Canada, that would make it double dipping wouldnt it?
i'm a little confused since iv'e never heard of massdrop.. you vote so they will contact the manufacturer, right.. then once they do, depending on how many voters actually buy it, determines the price drop?.. when do you find out what price its going to actually go for? i don't want to commit until i know that.. i voted though.. i assume there is no obligation.
