First off, thank you all for the engagement and ideas and compliments. It really makes me happy and keeps me going. Plus, having these inserts in my own life and use has been an highlight the past couple days. It's a game changer with my low tolerance.
I did some more testing with the V2 (1. or .05 max load cap) insert, but with .025 loaded. This worked fantastically, and exactly like the V3. So, if I were to produce one model, I'd like it to be the .05 max load capacity version. OHE with .05 is breathtaking, and feels like the sweet spot.
That said, it comes down to ranges people want to use. If people are targeting really small amounts, less than .025, that takes extra consideration. The bowl size itself is kind of a dosing measurement, so perhaps having to half load it feels less easy and exact than just filling what you have up all the way.
My current price target for this insert, assuming I offer a single version like V2/V3, is $20 on it's own, or $10 as an add on with a purchased stem. (Anyone who has already purchased a stem from me when I release need only PM me to get taken care of on the lower price point.) Also, since I can make things custom, if I don't produce the variant you want, just let me know.
What is my timeline to start officially offering these for sale? I don't know if my design will change from where it is right now, since I kinda nailed it on V2/V3, but I could sit on it for a week rather than releasing right away.
Thank you! With my stems, and now these inserts, I'm having less and less reason to use any other device. Being able to load smaller amounts, coupled with the on demand and fast heatup, make the TM2 cover most of my daily needs.
The 25mm wide low pro TM2 stem left in my shop right now is so freaking beautiful, I keep being tempted to keep it for myself. Surprised it's still available. I'll be making more 19mm wide low pros and perhaps more 25mm wide low pros to restock very soon.
Not sure about comparing with capsules. It's stem loaded vs a capsule, so that changes the UX. For extraction, I think all of my stems give that extra punch that a capsule has, due to added conduction power. It extracts like a full loaded stem, but less and more completely for OHE. (I'm only really using XMax capsules with a custom version of my stems, so I'm not very experienced to answer this)
ID of the spacers is 8mm, with 9mm for the upper bowl portion. Having a two stage screen setting is something I knew people would ask for and would be great from a "one insert to rule them all" standpoint. I could but "I don't wanna! >_<" for these reasons:
-Internal grooving in this small diameter with metal this hard is a non starter, and that's the easiest way to give multiple tiers. Internal grooves also pick up debris
-Multiple steps for the screen could reduce stability on the screen in one of the settings
-Multiple steps requires me to change my tooling settings, which increases time and manufacturing effort when turning out a batch of these.
-Multiple steps might require two sizes of screens increasing complexity/cost
That said, I'll see what I can do here since others have mentioned it. :/ I have a tool that is Imperial sized I special ordered a while back that could make it work, assuming it doesn't suck.
Is it a dealbreaker for you (or customers like you) to have a single stage that you can under load for smaller doses, vs multiple set sizing? How often would you expect to change this around?
Thank you!

To be clear, you'd want a specific model for .09, with an internal screen setting, rather than just removing the screen on one of the others to use with the stem screen to get that amount?
For ordering, just enjoy your vacation and PM me when you get back. Given that you just paid high shipping for one of my stems, and suggested the reducer idea that spawned this, I want to share the load somehow on this follow up order.
