Makeshift vaporizer?

This is probably just for fun but I went to Canada not expecting to be able to find flower (because they aren't recreational until October) but tried my luck with a PDF copy of a doctor's rec and got lucky!

However, I didn't pack a flower vape and had to resort to -blech- combusting. The question I present today is: with readily available parts could I piecemeal together a temporary vaporization solution for flower?

If you had some glass tubing and a jet lighter you could probably get the glass hot enough to vaporize

I was in Invermere, BC, I think they tend to stick closer to the laws than, say, Vancouver. They had me email them the doctor's note and scan my driver's license. Hey whatever, I'm just happy because the oil cartridge I brought was running dangerously low
