If that's a 1.2v direct drive red laser of that size, with no laser cooling, that heats a reflective surface enough to dab, I'd ask if it was bought from the Men In Black.
I'm not MIB but my keen knowledge of circuits tells me it's still being heated normally, with the laser piggybacked on for show (and questionable eye safety).
