Looking for the most efficient, "bong-like" Vape

Im getting more open to the idea of torches because of the sickybrixx and vapcap stuff, since you actually dont rly get huge, scolding hot metal parts with those.

Next on my list is a HT though, probably one of the DHgate ones for now, the big one from yingmin5 has good revies it seems, most likely not as good as the real deal, but at 170 euros difference you would expect that xD

Getting more comfy with the Evo, shitty smell has worn off, sleeve still stinks but i dont rly use it anyways.

Mmmmm my mate is in the same predictmate, although this is his first vape. Ordered a lotus, I suggest an evo but he's a stony stoner and would break it 110% he ordered a lotus should be here soon!
I told him get a vapcap, for those earlier who couldn't understand how it would be a good bong vape.... I guess you'd just have to try it.
I personally find I get better results in the bong than with my Hammer, Mi,vaporgenies (can 100% work bigger hits out of the VG but it's hard charring work for me) and HA, all pretty well regarded for bong use.
Also I personally believe the conduction of the VC also helps it mimic that smoking feeling. Those dense conduction hits near choke me out and send me to the lord sometimes, and still with flavour. I don't really like sounding like a fan boy, but in my head when you compare putting a lighter to a bowl and smoking it, the Vapcap is the closest alternative in the vaping world for me.

I didn't expect it either but the Vapcap is excellent with bongs. It even mimics the way a bowl smokes.

Ok, so I've had my Evo for a few weeks now and want o give my overall feedback and how I've been faring with the Unit.

Overall, im pretty satisfied with the Evo , it gets you high, its flexible with the amount you need or want to load, its AMAZEBALLS for even small amounts of kief, you get so much more out of vaping kief over smoking it.
The heat up time is ok, its nowhere near as "on demand" as a bong, but its ok.

BUT, I still sometimes feel i need something a little quicker, and a little "dirtier" and I havent been able to completely quit the bong. Its significantly less from before the Evo, and most of my weed gets vaped... but yeah... havent touched a cigarette since I got an ecig, but cant quit the bong for vaping... its weird.

I found vaping sativas is kind of a waste, Indicas work like a charm, make you cough and get you fucking stoned, but I dont seem to get high from sativas while vaping, its more like a few minutes of being lightly confused and then nothing, but I've been leaning more towards indicas for the last year or so anyway.

On top of the EVO, I got a small bubbler and it works much better with the evo over a bong, waiting for my HT from DHgate to get shipped.

Im probably gonna get a herborizer TI or maybe even a sublimator later this year and will see if maybe these can completely replace the bong, so long I'll just keep fighting the Fight ;D

I don't know how to get a dirty hit from vaporizing. Most of us switched because it's so much cleaner. I don't know what to say other than you will never appreciate the vaporizer high while still combusting. Personally I like to taste my material, so I could never smoke a bong if the evo was there. Not to be rude, I just find it interesting how some people struggle with switching. For me it was so automatic, practically a revelation, so it's cool to hear other people's stories.

Most of us do better with some vapes then we do with others so good on you for continuing your search. That's how all those wonderful vape companies stay in business as we search. Good Luck

Its not that I dont enjoy the Evo, especially with like really dry indica hits, but i felt like the plenty for example was giving me pretty "dirty" hits, and by that i just mean lungbursting rips, that leave you with watering eyes, the evo CAN do that, but its a heck of an effort for me xD But then, the plenty didnt rly work for me for a lot of other reasons, and the Evo did bring my daily dose back down, although it didnt reduce it compared to smoking.

Also, the Evo i found is RLY finnicky with dryness and grind of your herb, it will work with non optimal grind and dryness, but you wont get as much out of it

Pretty much all the reasons I went for the Grasshopper. I can get really ripped with my Focus Pro, but it wastes too much. My ESV2 is instant, but doesn't get me nearly high enough. The Grasshopper should give me EVERYTHING that bong smoking was giving me with a much better flavor. Also no worries about having to hit it in a particular way, you can just rip off it.

I also had a hard time getting completely off combusting, my first few picks for vaporizers didn't quite do it for me, but they sure got me to figure out exactly what I need. -- Instant, hard ripping hits that don't continue to bake so I don't waste herb.

I never thought I'd get off bong smoking, now the thought of that burnt taste just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I started realizing that smoking was giving me a slight headache along with the high too. With vaping I just get the high.

Good luck with your other choices, I can't wait to hear how those work out for you.

You might check out the Supreme V3.

Unfortunately not the easiest pirece to get a hold of in germany, also maybe not so well suited to my environment because of torches (pretty sure people around me would feel uncomfortable with torches blazing)

The Grasshopper is in serious consideration, just cant wrap my head around how its apparently so hard hitting, but vids of it are pretty convincing.

I also dont rly prefer the bong over the evo, but it just serves a different purpose

How do they feel about Butane Cigar Torches? single flame

Best vaporizers i've experienced have always been Butane. Unfortunate my Volcano is real good runner up but it cannot compare to my Sticky Brick.

looking for a bong like buzz in a vaporizer, I had read Log vapes was a top option. . . I've had my Bamboo HI log for about a month and love it (I was a heavy bong combuster prior) .. my log is very versatile , I am still waiting for my d020 bubbler in the mail but I made this vape'chute (parachute , vapor lung) that packs a punch very similar to a bong and flame!!.. I made the vape'chute with a cut off soda bottle , bag and tape. The bottle cap doubles as the stem adaptor. :) here's the video trying it for the 2nd time. Takes a couple seconds for vapor to start but check out the flow it gives when it starts going.

Hey Guys,

so I'm reanimating the thread.

Evo really isnt doing it for me... Not a bad Vape, still enjoy it a lot over the Plenty or other stuff I tried, but I dont think vaping is going to do it for me.

I really tried sticking with the Evo for a while, but It just leaves me pacing around, not getting me medicated to where i need and want to be.

Concentrates were better, but again, a regular dab is just more efficient IMO.

At least I managed to kick the bong for now, and am also tobacco free since i went from flowers to dabbing (well see what happens when the stash runs out tho).
Pure flowers never really worked for me (to smoke that is) and maybe its the same with vaporising?

Just thought Id share my experience, not really about what im going to do with the evo for now, probably keep it since selling it seems like kind of a hassle...

I second the Supreme 3....don't think anything can be more efficient than that for bong vaping since you don't even need to grind.

And yeah you can dab with it too...I just squish the dab into a bud and let 'er rip... it's intense!

I dont think Ill buy another Vaporizer for now, Ill go for an Enail first since using a torch still kind of annoys me. Very limited on EU options tho

On my way.

Before I jumped into the torch arena with the Sticky Brick, I felt the same way. All of the Bricks are fantastic. Hydro through water...forget it.

The $65 glass vapcap is a great replacement for smokers. It hits like a champ, is efficient and highly effective...If you reconsider.

Vapeing isn't for everyone but hang on to the Evo and try it again later, you never know. Bye bye.

Too bad you are not enjoying your Evo. I do wonder if you pacing around could be in part attributed to you ceasing use of tobacco? If quitting at same time as starting to vaporising, it might be much at once. quitting smoking can surely have effects of it own . Concentrates are stronger then flower , if using lots of concentrates, it could be part of the reason your tolerance for herbs is higher.

Ive only started using concentrates after the evo experiment failed already (didnt admit it then but it had ^^)

I use an Ecig, i have no craving for smoking whatsoever, and i still get my nicotine. Not smoking cigs really wasnt an issue, pretty much ever since the first day i had an ecig

I think its really down to how subtle the effects of vaporization are compared to smoking or dabbing I guess

I felt the same way until I got my Focus Pro. It definitely does the trick for me. It gets me higher without the heavy headache feel of combusting. My only issue with it at all is that it's a bit of a session vape being a conduction vape. It heats up super fast and gives me huge milky clouds that get me all the way to the place I need to get to. I was a heavy bong smoker and all the other vapes I had tried also left me pacing the floor and wasting tons of herb trying and trying to get there. It's only $100.00 at puffitup.com and yet it's solid and works great. Easy to load, easy to clean, removable batteries and usb charger. I can't say enough about my Focus Pro.

The only reason I bought my hoppers is that I really wanted to be able to take a hit at a time and not session hit. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I could load the Focus Pro a lot lighter, but it's so good I can't resist a full load and a session when I use it. Even with my hoppers I still use it whenever I want to really get medicated and don't have anything else I have to do. I got the stainless WPA with it because I still use my bong and it works great that way. I couldn't go back to smoking now if I had to and I'm so grateful for that, so are my lungs and my throat.

I appreciate the input, I really do, but Im pretty set on a portable not being able to fill my needs, portable smoking (of weed) wasnt able to do that ;)

Tried a hopper, its pretty nice and impressive for its size, but no way does it compare to a evo in any regard, the only upside i can see is heatup from the big session i had with it. The session made me take it of my "to buy to try" List

Check out either the d-nail or the liger if you want a good nail. Less wait for a d-nail at the moment though. Folks around here highly recommend the SiC halo.

Either choice will give you more value than really any other option available at the moment.

You can also grab a cheaper controller from auber instruments which is compatible with d-nail and liger products, so that a top of the line setup can be sourced for about $300. (still a lot imo, but is what it is.)

Might be possible to trade your Evo for a setup on the forums. You never know. Though being in Europe won't make that option easy possibly.

Yeah keep the Evo, put it in your closet so in a month when you get curious about remembering what cannabis tastes like, you'll still have a device around that doesn't ruin herb.
