Really, how come? I thought everyone liked the TB better than pretty much anything else.

That is misconception, I'd suggest looking more closely... Both are great, very different in fact... TB certainly simpler I suppose...

If @Kizu only wants a portable, then yeah it is going to be TM, TB, Tetra, or scoring something else... GH or FF maaaybe too, but if a desktop is an option, then that opens it up to log vapes and even crazier options!

Are you considering 510 box mods only?

Full convection move more hot air, first u'll have to know how cooled u will need to...
Full convection go with wpa to me as i quite smoking 7 years ago. My throat can't handle direct small stem anymore

But 250$ for a top tier+bubbler is impossible

510 Box mod still not compete with the desktop, maybe soon, they get closer and closer

And all battery devices will cost u again in few years... not a desktop

250$ is the low entry level for full convection

desktop for 250$ there is only the e-nano
But if u go desktop, they will last more than 5 years (not the same with portable). So u can put a bit more, as an investment

Everyone? There is around a decade worth of other vapes out there to choose from and a big chunk of the community is using vapes from that pool. No disrespecting you opinion just suggesting a broader range of options exists.

Full elev8r kit ($90) + torch ($50) = $140
Full elev8r kit ($90) + dirt cheap enail setup ($80) = $170
Water pipe Elev8r kit ($60) + torch ($50) = $110
Water pipe elev8r kit ($60) + dirt cheap enail setup ($80) = $140

All of those options leave you with enough money for either a decent water piece, herb, or both.

I would second this!

Silver Surfer is an excellent convection design that has the electric heating coil encapsulated in ceramic, and a glass air path.
I see that they now start at $250 on the Elev8 website!
If the warm air is still a bit much for you using 3ft whip only, you could find a bubbler cheap in a 4/20 sale,
Or even fancy mouthpieces like they have on their site can work a little better than the stock one.
Good luck with your decision!

The SSV is an excellent and versatile vaporizer and a classic design. Some newcomers to vapes might think that the Terp Torch is all that. but check the heating element that powers it. It’s the same as the SSV, DBV and LSV.

Some people seem to think vaporizers didn’t exist before 2020

All or the log vapes are unregulated though, right? Doesn't that mean they require more technique than the temperature controlled portables?

I'm with an analog herborizer, and the real difference with the digiti is that u need to put it yourself at max if you want fast heat up and don't forget to put it down then.
With PID u just have to switch on and off, easier but was 200€ more for the herbo...
A massive coil have quite stable temp once heat up, i'm not really sure about log though.
But with those device u only take one hit and go, so

Nope. Temperature control with convection is not that useful anyway, being able to adjust power with a dimmer or vvps offers plenty of control... However really all pure convection is going to require some level technique in my experience...
