Looking for Desktop Vape

Hi

I'm looking for something good to use with my wife, maybe a gram or two a day. Knowing the sweet spot for temperature is important. Convenient cleaning is also important. Also saving as much money as possible.

I looked into the Arizer Extreme Q: Looks good, except I rather not have a battery-powered remote.

The E-Nano also looks good, but I find the website hard to use. I can't stop the kit from including things I don't want, like the option for 0 just isn't there for a certain piece; it comes from the States and I live in Canada; the website doesn't give any info on the glass honeycomb bit; and the accessories I find very disorienting. I just want to buy something simple, cheap, easy to clean, non-battery powered, plugged in, and it would be cool to try a bubbler out if it can attach to the vaporizer.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Volcano is the best desktop. Yeah, it’s more than you wanna pay but mine’s still going strong after more than 10 years of daily use. Maybe you could find a deal on a used one.

@Teaturtle, the standard cherry nano kit is on sale now for $175.90. Great value. Site layout is a bit confusing but once you make your wood and stem choices, you can hit 'add to cart' and you're good to go.

The optional items won't make their way to your cart unless you go in and select them so don't worry about those. But you should choose a gong adapter if you wanna run it through a bubbler.

The fixed screen stems/gongs just have a glass honeycomb screen built into them. I like the adjustables better.

I would say E Nano for sure. I dont use the honeycomb stems I use the screens. Buy extras and use a chop stick to place the screen. Mine stays plugged in 24/7 but sence I bought a Dynavap I have not touched it. Send them an email or give them a call.

I just bought the herbalaire 3 lite. I've owned most of the Vapes people recommend. I was looking for a small, tough, good for glass, and efficient vape. It's in an analogue or digital form too. So I went with the digital one. $249 but you can probably get a 420 discount. Mine was supposed to be here today, maybe tomorrow ..

I have an alternative suggestion for you. Get a Vapcap. Get one for your wife and one for yourself and maybe one for drop in company.

I’d recommend an Herbalizer if it wasn’t out of your price range. The heat up time is less than it typically takes to load the vape. It’s very easy to clean and all the parts can be soaked in alcohol. The vape is a powerhouse of a unit and are very dependable.

It’s also very flexible and can be used with a whip, glass or a bag

I have been doing this for 3 years now. I started with the EQ. The remote is the last reason I wouldnt get one again. I learned a truck load from it. It takes a few mods to make it great. IMO The bags and whips unless you need this for a health reason is not for me. The whip equals a glass fitting on a hose....prepare for breakage. The bag.....MEH. not my thing.
The Nano is as simple as it gets for a desk top. Cleaning? You have a stem and screens. I use a fresh screen daily. A baby food jar with ISO takes care of that. With that being said @Squiby kind of nailed it. Like I said I have not touched my Nano sence I bought my Dynavaps. Ad a new heat source, that will be released this month we hope and you have a portable or a desktop.

I say check out the Vapir Rise 2.0. One of the most under rated vapes on this board. I love t for my desktop. I own two vapes. That and a haze v3.

Just a couple of suggestions: you have eliminated the extreme because you don't like the battery remote but are considering vapes that don't have a remote; the extreme doesn't require the remote. I never bothered using the remote and it works fine.
Second, an old vape that people rarely talk about anymore is a great vape if you like simplicity and whips: the vaporbrothers 1. Someone got me a used one and it's replaced the extreme as my main non log desktop.
Third, there are great logs besides the enano. You might like the underdog. I have several different logs including the enano and like the underdog because you have a choice of several stems included with the purchase.
And fourth there are some portables that are comparable to desktops. People have suggested the dynavap which for $48 you might want to try. And you might check out the woodscent log if you're getting a dynavap.
But, of vapes that are readily available as opposed to a waiting list - many of us find the tubo evic comparable to a desktop.

This vape doesn't get enough credit on this forum IMO. It is really convenient and efficient... nothing fancy but really reliable and easy to use and clean. I have had mine now for over 15 years and still works like a champ. You can fit a gram or two into the bowl as well.

You might want to check out Craigslist there are always one or two for sale, I have seen them listed for less than $100 Cdn.

Or new for $150. The hands free ones are more money but I started with the standard and then later bought an extra hands free one.

People have given some great suggestions here but I gotta wonder...

If you like the look of the EQ but are turned off by the remote(don't understand why you wouldn't want the remote) why not buy a Arizer Vapor Tower which is a EQ with no remote or ability to use bags?... or you could get a EQ and throw the remote away or put it in the junk drawer and forget about it.

Why the dislike of a remote?

I do not think you can get a better desktop vape than the New Vape Flower Pot.

Volcano is the best desktop.

Please beware of anyone who states that ANY particular vape is the best there is for that simply does not exist. There's a lot of great recommendations in this thread and the two mentioned above are two of "some" of the best vapes on the market but everyone has their own unique priorities. They ALL have their pros and cons and what may be the best vape for you may not be the best vape for someone else and visa versa. There's a lot of great vapes out there. What you may want to do is to read the owners manuals of all the vapes that peak your interest to get a handle as to how they each operate as well as reading the reviews here.

Why are you not looking at the EQ more? You do not need the remote to work the vape at all!
It has 4 easy to use buttons on the front that control everything.
I have one and never use the remote.
Made in Canada so no import duties!

Have you looked at the vaporizer stores online that are located in Canada yet for inspiration?
A lot of them have sales going on at the moment!

Well said. I was thinking the exact same thing in regards to the remote. The EQ will operate just fine without it and @lazylathe brought up a VERY good point in purchasing from an on-line store based in Canada as not only will you save money in shipping and duty costs, but if anything should ever go wrong with your vape, handing warranty issues from a company based in your home country can be done MUCH easier than trying to handle it from a company based outside of your home country.

Agreed but the EQ is more versatile in that you can use it in both bag or whip mode. This is a prime example of those "pros and cons" that I was talking about.

This is the exact reason why these questions are more of a what should i look into and read everything before jumping in and buying something someone recommended.
I have fallen for this trap before and will never again...

We all have different experiences with the same vape!
I for one did not like my E-Nano for very long, log vapes are just not my thing. I have nothing against them, they are just not for me, hence i did not mention the E-Nano when replying.

I could name a lot of vapes that are excellent desktops, @steama mentioned one of my top vapes but the request was for simple to use vapes and to me the EQ is just that. HerbalAire are even easier to use.
Cleaning is not a huge deal either, depends on how you use your vapes.
For me I use my EQ inverted with a WT, so all i clean is an EQ bowl and an 18 Male to Male adapter, takes 2 minutes.

This is a prime example of those "pros and cons" that I was talking about.

My first vape was the V Tower. No remote, no bag, just the tube. Once I got the hang of it ( having never vaped before) learning the temps, what worked for me, I thought it was easy to use, and clean. I would probably go with it again. It allowed me to have some experience, it's a good mellow vape. I leave mine on all night, if I awake and can't sleep, I take a puff. I don't use it as a party vape, those days are passed. It didn't cost a lot, and gave me some time to read up on vapes. The vapcap was my next purchase, also wonderful, but, not in the middle of the night ( burned my thighs a couple of times.) My best suggestion is to read, read, read.

I definitely think that using a log is different from some of the other desktops. My favorite is the HI but I didn't mention it because it is such a long wait.
But, and I know I'm repeating myself, the vapor brothers is the simplest desktop vape I own And less money than most of the other recommended desktops. You can microdose or not. I agree with the EQ recommendation. The buttons work great without the remote.
