Log Vape died - need a new daily driver

Ok - My Wychwood died tonight after years of service so I need a new daily driver.
Have had the Q out tonight as backup but it just doesn't suit my requirements any more.
I vape bong exclusively and my nightly load in the wychwood was .13g.
Obviously it's very difficult to replace it with a log vape in the UK so I'm open to non log vapes.
Have been looking at herbalire elite but not sure if it'd work with such a small load.
Opinions welcome.

After going with the LSV, I have no desire to ever use a log again. For something a bit smaller, I really like the MiniVap as well but the all glass vapor and air path and POWER of the LSV when run through water along with absolutely no draw restriction whatsoever is just amazing.

Thanks - what if any adapter do i need to connect to my bongs please?
I've found an LSV retailing in the UK for a decent price but want to make i can connect it ASAP

I've got to try the lsv because my minivap on red will milk a bong so thick it looks like smoke..it absolutely amazes me how thick the hits get through water..it's a tab bit hot when used dry..but would never attempt red with it dry..

It is just s simple resistor that would need to be replaced.
If you can solder, you can fix it.

I can't get to the inside
I think that some wires touched inside as I saw some sparking the other week and it's been hit and miss since then. last night no amount of fiddling could get it working
couldnt get the core out at all so unscrewed the power socket and manageg to get all the wiring out
once it untangled the resistor works fine but now i have a log and core with no electronics and no clue how to get them back in
i'm a DIY disaster as well :D

Just ordered an LSV but can't get the water adapter from any european stockist and delivery from the US is $35 !
Do you use the official LSV adapter or are there any workarounds?

There are several options but the most commonly used is a male/male adapter (do you have one of those) along with an EQ screen or place an ELB (Vapexhale Easy Load Basket) in the adapter like I do.

Go back about 5-10 pages in the LSV thread and you should see lots of chatter about it.

Not sure on any difference between the 14mm and 18mm 7th Floor adapter. I only have the 14mm but it gets no use since I really only use the male/male adapter.

If your wychwood is anything like mine, you should be able to yank the core out. Cookie just press fitted them, or at least on mine he did.
First time took some force, but it should work. Maybe check the bottom for screws (mine has none)

Definitely try to fix it. It's such a simple design, and a wychwood should never die. If you can't do it, find someone on the island who can do it for you. Shame Cookie himself went MIA.

Just find something that grabs the core nice and tight and then pull straight. Maybe warm it up a bit, carefully, with a heatgun or some other means?
And then from there it should be easy to get done, just some soldering and wire bending.

I don't have any OGB's stuff but lots of happy customers here in FC. The next time I need something I too will look their way.

You can also get 5 if them for about $10 (delivered) on DHGate. That's what I did. A couple wouldn't fit the ELB but the others did and you can't beat the price. Also since these are glass it's always good to have a backup.

Thanks - are there any diagrams of the inside if i have a go at repairing it?
The core seems jammed very tight - tried with pliers but not budging

Not much of a diagram required, really, just connect the two legs of the resistor to the plug, in a way that they don't short out. Polarity can be ignored on those resistor heaters.
(coming to think of it, the plug is not really needed, might as well just solder straight to a cable, and then you have a log with a cable. It's how I use my HI)

I guess those cores were pressed into the wood with some kind of press. Cookie might even have added some grooves or someshit to the core to make sure it stays in there.

What about access from the bottom?? Does yours have that fabric on the bottom too?? If you can feel a hole under it, it might be worth removing that piece of fabric (on mine he used what looks like some denim fabric)

Tried to fix it today - the core wasn't budging after i took the bottom out (had to drill it) and i've bent it all and fucked the wiring so it's gone into a draw never to be used again because.....
My LSV came and I rigged a glass screened adapter,loaded it with 0.07g and it's fantastic.
