Live hash rosin is created by pressing the freeze-dried hash at the lowest temperature possible to produce some of the purest, most potent, and terpene-rich concentrate on the market. Free from additives, solvents, and over-heating, live hash rosin relies on pressure to be created.

This is how they roll in the Maine Medical "budget" market these days:
Native Relief Rotten Bananas
by u/NativeReliefME in mainetrees
50/50 blend of GMO and (Double Banana Fuel x Meatbreath)
In-House Full Spectrum Live Hash Rosin
(Made with ALL microns 45u-159u from washes 1-4)

Decent menu:
Haven't tried them yet but they seem like a cool/transparent operation. At these prices, I'll def check em out eventually...:sherlock::science::tup::peace:

Edit: and this is just over the border in southern maine that caters mostly to tourists and peeps like me... you can do much better further up and away from the coast (til Bangor/Old Town or so).

Here's an action shot of a highly acclaimed southern maine producer:

"Purple Marmalade (Tropicana Cookies x Why U Gelly (Gelato x The Don Mega))

Bred by Solfire - Selected, grown, and processed at Moon Jelly. As always grown in living soil under the sun ☀️

These are some of the craziest tangie terps we've ever encountered. Mouthwatering sweet tangerine with a potency that makes my brow sweat when I smell a jar. Rig / pallete staining to say the least.

This will drop next month at the Farm to Patient Experience in Sanford at the Wisely facility. June 3rd noon-6pm.

Sign up for the mailing list on the moon jelly website to see the whole menu for the event. Going out this weekend. Flower, budget ballers, melt, and a few tasty treats for those who make it to our booth first 🙏"

Too rich for my blood, but it looks like a fun marketing idea put on by a popular, quality Maine producer.. pretty sure it's mostly live rosin:

I started buying live hash rosin last month and it is pretty awesome stuff. At $75CAD/g I won't switch to it exclusively but there will always be some in my drawer.
I have been buying it lately myself. Love it. Been getting it at local Seneca Nation Dispensary in Niagara Falls NY and for July 4th had a buy one get a second for a penny so Cherry Pie Live Hash Rosin (Hybrid) it is even though @ $95 US a gram it is $$$$.

The absolute cheapest I've seen good quality single source full spectrum live hash rosin advertised from a licensed grower or caregiver in the Northeast US is about $25/gm.

One place you only need to purchase 5 grams minimum and the other is a "max out" mix-and-match 2.5 oz deal @ $28/gm :o

Done right it's an expensive process no matter where you go... at least for now anyway.

In Cali, CO, WA you can find grams of Live Rosin from $20-$50. Seems pretty fair since it takes about a quarter of good flower to produce the gram.

Outside of the more established markets prices can get crazy though.

And to add, I'm sure there's quite a difference in overhead/cost between "live rosin" and "live hash rosin" cuz you press bubble not flower.

While they save by not having to do all the post harvest production work up front (curing, heavy trimming etc), they end up losing more producing live hash rosin...

I've read a producer say they sometimes only get a 1% return making that Piatella... (from raw flower to the end product)

What do you mean by 'live rosin' and 'live hash rosin'?
I thought all live rosin starts with fresh frozen material. You then have to make bubble and press, which is live rosin or live hash rosin.
Confused by what you mean by 'live rosin' Vs 'live hash rosin'. Thought they were the same tbh.
Appreciate any clarification.

Yeah, I messed that up, I meant rosin vs live rosin, or whatever... sorry, thanks! (cazy busy morning here)

live hash rosin means pressing the dried bubble hash into rosin
Just to clarify your clarification, 'live hash rosin' is pressing the dried bubble made from fresh frozen herb, that has not dried.
As opposed to 'bubble hash rosin' which is made from dried material.
The 'live' is the differentiator. I make it myself.

Thanks for that. Thought there was another tech!

Just so there's no confusion cuz it's easy to miss a word or add one and f everything up...

Rosin pressing materials

Rosin:
Dried flower/trim

Hash rosin:
Dry sift hash (from dried flower/trim)
Bubble hash (from dried flower/trim)

Live hash rosin:
Live bubble hash (from fresh frozen "live" flower)

(Unless I missed something and screwed that up, too...?)

I press flower, but this is pretty much the only concentrate I get retail these days.

What brands are you all favoring?
I've been on a bit of a Soiku Bano kick right now; Pink Slurricane, Sour Flamingo, Blowpop and Cookie Chunks are currently on my menu.

Lazercat is always top tier, some of my favorite flavor profiles but I admit I find many of theirs can be a little stiff consistency for my liking, I have grown to prefer a little more buttery/spreadable than super hard.

I think GreenDot has stepped up their game, at least with the ones I sampled- Fortissimo, BluFroot and A5 Wagyu.

For those in Colorado, I strongly suggest a visit to Rocky Road in Aurora and ask for an introduction to George. He is really more passionate about concentrates than anyone I've met. Last visit, he walked me through ALL his favorites on the floor first, then pulled out all the best newest arrivals that have not yet been put on menu. It was a wonderful experience. I am a strain hunter and enjoy finding stuff I have not had before, they had FAR more depth to the concentrate department than any dispensary I've been in.

Just did a little research on the Soiku brand and admit to being a little jealous. Nothing like that available near me yet despite NY being legal for recreational for over a year. Still waiting for non Indian Reservation stores to open in my area. The Seneca Nation rules the roost right now and all weed sold on Nation Land has to also be grown there. Concentrates are a different story and the brand I get for live hash rosin is Sovereign.

Anyhoo, some info about Soiku as mentioned by @FlyingLow for those interested and who can get it.

Soiku Bano

Founded by two Cuban-American brothers and their bubble bags, Soiku Bano first hit the Colorado scene in 2020. Their memorable name is a humorous twist of the phrase “Soy Cubano”, meaning “I am Cuban”. The Soiku team have already made waves across the industry with their delicious, terptastic cold-cured rosin pearls and their strong focus on quality! They source only the best fresh frozen material to wash, and it’s a key factor in producing their consistently top shelf hash. In fact, they’ve sourced their flower from multiple cultivators that we’ve worked with as well.
A key aspect that sets Soiku Bano apart from other solventless extractors is the integral role that their hashmakers play in choosing who to collaborate with and what strains to wash! Every member of the Soiku family plays an essential role in the final product. They also are always looking for ways to improve, meaning each batch of their rosin is better than the last. As a small family run business, Jose and Xander will always keep it real and maintain a focus on producing some of the best hash that can be found in the Colorado solventless market.

Pretty much everthing is "live" up there now, they often don't detail it in porn posts...:
https://www.reddit.com/r/mainetrees/comments/14si9m9 "Bred by Karma Genetics, selected and grown by us and processed by Mission Hill Melts. Ready to get packaged up for 7/10 🤙

For us this is the closest we’ve gotten to the Sour we used to get back in the day in the Bronx. Harvested at day 72. Loud sour and gas flavor profile with a mind melting high 😤"
