So a local MMJ dispensary near me started getting a new(ish) "edible" called Actabliss. The good news, I read, is that this stuff is super strong in the CBD department. In fact it has a 2:1 CBD/THC ratio, which is quite good. Also good is that it comes in a concentrated syrup, which mixes well with basically anything you want to mix it in.
Sounds awesome, right?
Sure.
Now here's the thing. I keep reading the description of this product on the MMJ club's IG page, and I see its only available in grape flavor? The fuck is that about? I hate grape... but then again if Im mixing it into something, I can probably mask the flavor and I'm not drinking it for the flavor to begin with anyway.
...and that's when I get to the picture of the product (not the actual IG post I saw):

Now, the first picture you see up top is of the stuff this MMJ dispensary is selling, ACTABLISS.
The second (bottom) picture is of a brand name controlled narcotic cough syrup (grape flavored, go figure) called ACTAVIS.
Now, it gets worse...
This revelation brought up a recent memory of something my wife said. Not to go too far into detail, but she is in the healthcare side of the pharmacy industry. In any case, she had been telling me (late last year) about how she had seen a demand for this Codeine cough syrup spike and inquired about it. She was told that this is a "thing" now in clubs called "lean" or "leanin". Basically, they mix this Rx syrup ("sizzurp" or WTF ever) with sprite or what not and call it lean, leen, leanin, etc... google it, Im sure theres a crap ton of info. Anyway, as you may guess, it has a LITTLE bit of traction in the rap scene. Long story short, a lot of pharmacies only carry the generic version now, which doesnt taste the same and demand dropped.
Aaaaaaaand that now brings me to this atrocity, taken from the ActaBLISS Instagram account:

Being in my 30s and mostly white, I had to google who this doucher "RiFF" was:
I played about 10 seconds of that and felt like burning my monitor and buying a new one.
In any case, it comes full circle with that. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
A new product (competition for Actabliss) named... sigh... GREEN LEAN just came out here as well. Same shit, gape flavored syrup but instead of copying labeling from a big pharma narcotic, they just put the fucking slang term for mixing that shit into soda IN THE NAME ITSELF.
How long before the media and anti-MMJ people catch wind of this? When they do, thats not going to be good for ANYONE. How long have we been trying to dodge the stigma of MJ being a "gateway drug"? Fucking hell, man.
But I'm sure these companies don't care because they will have milked that cow dry by then.
And when this concern was brought up on the IG accounts of said companies? People are banned, called trolls and/or are completely lied to. In fact the Actabliss rep on IG told one poster that they in "no way" insinuate their product is related to a big pharma drug or illegal drug use. When confronted with the post of that RiFF asshat ON THEIR OWN IG FEED from a few weeks earlier, the rep states that its "just the artists unique way of repping the product for their label colab and shouldn't be taken seriously". Further questions were asked but went unanswered and the person asking was subsequently blocked (wasn't me).

.. Wasn't saying DXM is Acid.. just pointing out it has as dramatic effects.I've never get to manage my cough with any syryp , mint tee works better, also there is tons of other herbs.. So that's why i came to conclusion it is not for cough.. It might help someone though ...
