I would say if you've never liked using caps in the past you most likely won't like using them with this device. Far more efficient extraction without them just like almost every device. I didn't like them at all and gave them away.Seems like everyone is saying that the caps are a must buy for on the go. I’m considering adding them to my order if possible. I never liked using caps in the past for other vapes. Felt like I’d get more efficient extraction and effects when packing directly into the chamber. Never tried an AVLP though so idk if that aligns here. Are the caps really that worth it?
I hear that the dosing capsules cut way down on the messiness of the vape. How much do they affect using the vape? Do you need to adjust temps to account for it? And what of the dosing tool? Is it meant for the caps or the bowl in the vape? Are either or both worth it?
Cleaning the original AVLP was a fair amount of work and was one of the few weak spots for this vape. The capsules made the cleaning routine much, much less. I went from a wipedown after every two bowls and a deep cleaning every week, to a wipedown at the end of every day and a deep clean every other week for a vape I used every day.Seems like everyone is saying that the caps are a must buy for on the go. Hi, I'm actually a silent reader...I just pre-ordered 2 including 2 x dosing capsules. I almost exclusively enjoy mechanical vaporisers, big vapman, dani fusion 2 and terpcicle fan. My first vaporiser was the mighty from s&b. I gave it away and am looking for a “'perfect”' portable electric vaporiser for on the go. I was actually waiting for the new arizer argo...with portable electric devices you always have to make a compromise between size, battery life, heat and taste. I'm very excited about the device, trust the users here, some of them know what they're talking about
I will now take my time to read through the “'old”' Legacy Pro thread.
But I do have one question that could perhaps be answered:
Is the Legacy Pro2 suitable for one or two hit extractions? In other words, to vaporise 0.1-0.2g completely in one to a maximum of 3 large puffs?
Thank you
Great answer. My use-case for the AVLP was always as a longer session vape but it is versatile enough to blast through a bowl fast if you want. If you crank the temps up all the way you can get to 464F which is called "wax mode" for concentrates. I trust the AVLP2 will have the same mode or perhaps even something new. I've always had very consistent ABV ranging from light to dark brown depending on temps. Never combusted. The AVLP is capable of that, it can create clouds thicker than I can handle (which isn't much since I like taking little hits, but still). A long slow drag with the temps turned up will let you do that.
The AVLP lets you crank the temperature way up for vaping concentrates, but even at those temps it's unlikely to combust bud, so you can increase temps until you find that sweet spot for what you want.
I pulled mine out the other day and had a bowl for the first time in a while and it was just as smooth and tasty as I remember. I vape 95% of the time at home so the Solo3 had largely displaced this little guy that was my go-to portable for 2 years. It's hard to say for sure until we get our hands on it, but the AVLP2 is looking about as good as it gets.
edit: understood enjoy your choiceThank you for the quick answers.
I have now read a few things and am suddenly a little unsure.
Where does the company actually come from? Are the vapes produced in China? I tend to keep my distance from Chinese production and don't really want to support it either...I've just read the thread about the Angus Enhanced...The only portable electronic vaporiser manufacturers I trust are Storz&Bickel, Arizer and Tinymight...but even with Storz&Bickel I now have my doubts (after the sale of the company and their “'new”' philosophy and problems with the Venty etc but that's something else).
I haven't found much information about the materials used...which plastic is used and where the heat is generated and whether the vapour and airflow is insulated or still comes into contact with warm plastic etc.
I've never really heard anything about the company apart from here in the forum...I'm from Germany, maybe that's why...
Maybe I'm being too critical... Can you give me some information or show me where to find it?
I'm thinking about cancelling my two orders and waiting for the new Argo...
I didn't see much about material safety on their site but you could contact them directly at https://airvapeusa.com/pages/contact-usThank you for the quick answers.

There is also a representative, @Gary-Airvape on this site you could send a mail to using the mail feature.
I found a teardown of the AVLP (not the new one) here https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Airvape+Legacy+Pro+Quick+Teardown/171270 for what it's worth.
My understanding is that PEEK medical grade plastic is used for some of the airpath, then glass and a zirconia mouthpiece. For reference, PEEK is the same plastic S&B use. The oven I believe is gold plated stainless from what I remember.
No worries. If you search for the word "peek" in the main AVLP thread there is a post from @Gary-Airvape confirming this.I haven't made a decision yet
Thank you. I have also seen this teardown.
In the end, it's always trust. Whether S&B, Arizer or whoever...
Maybe @Gary-Airvape will write something about the plastic used and the air path...
Thanks to you all anyway. This forum is just great.
