Except for a few random CHAMPS threads, this forum seems to be a drought of information about the Las Vegas marketplace.

Can all those that live and visit please post their experiences, favorite brands and favorite dispensaries? Even restaurant recommendations would be welcomed!

I’m dropping in for concerts this week and appreciate the guidance!

Looking forward to Eagles at Sphere, and Sting with Billy Joel.

My free time will be limited, so I want to be sure I’m landing at the right dispensaries… seeking the finest hash rosin Vegas has to offer.

Perhaps we could make a 'traveling' / 'out-of-town' thread, for those who find themselves in an unfamiliar city on a temporary basis.

Cities could be populated by residents of the area, who know the 'good' places to source from.

This could be further broken down by state, country, etc.

Good luck, OP... sorry I can't help directly; I'm as much of a stranger to Vegas as you appear to be.

Prepare to be a bit disappointed I'm afraid.

I usually stay at the Palazzo or Wynn (North Strip). There are two nearby dispos: ReLeaf and Planet 13.

ReLeaf has better prices/deals. But there was no solventless every time I went. Plenty of decent BHO though.

Planet 13 is more expensive. It had some solventless, but the selection is very poor. The whole place is a "tourist trap" but is probably the coolest dispo I've been to. Worth a trip even if you don't buy anything.

I've heard there are better options (way) off the Strip. But you're looking at an expensive Uber trip and lost time.

Overall, my impression is Nevada is the weakest Western State for concentrates

How disappointing to read! I had such higher expectations... Of the products you sampled, were there any standout brands that were above the rest?

The hash rosin I got was "Fuze". I don't really recall the BHO brands I've had. The budtender at ReLeaf recommended something.

Ideally a Nevada resident would chime in because their brands are different than any other State I've been.

Oh, and if you have a med card from out of State bring it. They were doing discounts last time I was there (May).

Edit: overall I wouldn't be too bummed out. Weed use being super normalized in a very walkable town is cool as hell. Be careful in the casinos, but out on the Strip people are blazing like crazy. They just don't seem as "advanced" on the concentrate front yet. Hopefully that changes.

Sad times if ReLeaf is one of the better options. I recently saw pics of their grow rooms and it's disgusting.

Well, hopefully I can find a gem or two during the visit.

Appreciate the recommendation on the Medical card, I wish all states offered reciprocity.
My Cali medical has long expired but I think there are some cheap online options for renewal. If not too expensive, I will renew before arrival.

Does delivery exist in Nevada?

Wish there were some local FC'ers living out there to speak up. With no local input, I start researching local hash makers and competitions to get an idea of who the players are.

This sort of exists today, but limited to a few states. There is the Illinois and Weed thread, the Florida Cannibis News and the For anyone interested in medical cannabis reviews in Florida! threads. I started another one for Montana that no soul ever showed interest in (the market is THIN- just seek Groove).

But any time I am ever in or visiting a legal state, I look to FC to qualify brands and to help guide where I spend my resources.

DM @HughJundys , I think he is from Vegas. Sin City is only 175 miles away from me, but I basically hate it, so it’s been 7 years since I’ve been there.

As you may imagine as a resident I actually try to stay away from the strip. I live in the far Northwest off the last exit leaving town.

However we do end up on the strip from time to time due to work or company.

Personally I buy from a service that delivers to my house

But if you are staying on the strip I do have a great place you can go that typically has good prices. As you can imagine many of the dispensaries, on the strip, that cater to tourist are the most expensive dispensaries in town.
Take an uber and
Just off the strip, a few blocks is

Curaleaf Las Vegas - Western Ave
2320 Western Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89102

They are open from 8am- 10pm

When people come in town for Champs, this is where we take them. The prices are much better than the strip. They are good to you there. You'll get some kind of first buyer discount. We typically have placed our order via the website and just go pick it up but it is also fun to roam around the store and buy that way.

@VAPEHUNTER is another member from Las Vegas. I'm making him aware of this thread because he's a pro and may have some additional suggestions.

I was just in vegas last week. I went to a few dispensaries and wasn't impressed with the prices. I stayed at the D on Fremont street since I was playing poker at the Golden Nugget, but the D was cheaper. Not a bad hotel except the music from strip rips through the D! I was on the 20th floor and the music was pretty loud.

Thank you @HughJundys !!!

Honestly this thread is just making me want to go back.

I don't even gamble very much. I only use it to scam free drinks. At the nicer casinos they'll give you a Glenlivet on the rocks for the price of a tip.

I think it comes down to the walkability. Americans love vacationing in places like Disney World and Vegas. Then go home to their suburbs and wonder why they're miserable

Brilliant advice, THANK YOU @HughJundys ! I will definitely make curaleaf a first stop! Should I even bother with others? I had Jardin, Planet13 and Green also on my radar.

My research is suggesting I should also find: Lit, Tahoe, Tsunami, Medizin, Trendi, hunilabs, Matrix and Tidal.

Are you renting a U Haul for your trip home?

This aint that kinda trip! Music and vibes.
I used to gamble a LOT, really not interested at all anymore... I want to taste the city, as much food and concentrate as I can possibly consume in 2 nights/2 days.

My best friend and I will be out there walking the conference this year! We plan on having some sessions with our Mixturus for anyone who wants to try it. I don't have many recommendations as far as dispos outside of visiting Planet 13 purely for the spectacle. If you want an excellent and cheap meal, check out Tacos El Gordo.. It's about a 5 min walk from the convention center.

OK, I didn't realize there are conferences, but that makes sense. Looks like they are for Cannabis pros or caregivers, not consumer though. I'm guessing MJBizCon – National Marijuana Business Conference & Expo
When: December 03 – 06, 2024
Where: Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas

Only if you are interested in seeing them or if their prices are better.

It's funny there are weed tours. https://lvcannabistours.com/packages

When they first started doing this they just had The Stoner Tour where they took you on a two hour limo ride to 3 dispensaries. I always thought that whomever came up with that package must not partake. Take me to one dispensary to get my goodies, take me somewhere visually cool to vape it, and then take me to a great place to eat. I don't have the urge to visit multiple dispensaries as they tend to have similar strains around the same time. I can get all I need and more at one.

However if you come from a state that is not legal I can see the interest and curiosity of seeing multiple. If you are wanting that type of experience maybe try going to a weed lounge. https://smokeandmirrorslv.com/

I know you didn't ask but I usually tell out of towners this:

The strip is cool, lots of great lights. A limo tour of the strip isn't very expensive and they stop at the Bellagio Fountain, Las Vegas sign, and take you Downtown to the Fremont street experience.. You get to see the lights and take great pictures.
This is the service I use when I have company. I've done the Ultra Las Vegas Strip Tour at least 4 times now.
https://www.presidentiallimolv.com/vegas-tours/

If you are like me and enjoy people watching the strip isn't your place. Go to Down Town Las Vegas, Freemont Street. Several blocks covered by a digital canopy, a few live and decent bands, street performers, a fun zip line. It's a big grown up party with lots of funniness. Downtown is, in my opinion, more fun than the strip if you are wanting to go for a stroll. https://vegasexperience.com/

All great advice! I used to come often, but last visit to Vegas was over 10 years ago.
What are your favorite restaurants? Will travel for food!

I won't have time for tours this visit, just shows, food, concentrates and relaxing.

I do not so much seek out dispensaries as I do specific brands. Like Groove in Montana, Lazercat in Colorado, etc. The brands/strains lead me, and like food, I will travel for good product.

Settled into reservations at Cipriani and Yellow Tail... Cipriani has had my attention for years, super excited.

Settled back in and oh what a trip it was!

Cipriani had great drinks but was kinda a letdown on food. I just had high expectations... Yellow Tail was nothing short of amazing. Amazing sushi and views overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Miznon was excellent for lunch but I binge eat when traveling and overate a bit before the meal. I disappointed myself, I could not finish the delicious brisket pita.

We explored the Arts District and settled into another lunch at Container Park. Container Park is an awesome place to hang out and was so refreshing to be outside and off the strip. Did not see tourists, even with an art market on the street, just a bunch of laid back locals. We found a sandwich shop, and powered down a variety of 6 mini sandwiches.

Now, lets talk dispensaries. I had a game plan for a quick run to Curaleaf Western Ave after arrival, but was sweet-talked by the cabbie to Planet 13 instead. With the race construction traffic, Planet was 15 minutes closer and I took the bait. Little did I realize, all the cabbies get joints and kickbacks before pulling away from every customer they drop off.

I walk in to 2-3 people ahead of me at the security desk. I am optimistic. Then I go into the next room and have to register my cell phone to get to a register; they will text when one is available. After 10 mins of waiting around, I finally go back up and ask what the wait time is expected to be - 45+ MINUTES before I will see a bud tender. I felt defeated, what a waste of time. All I wanted was to score and rest at the hotel before the show.

Fortunately, a kind bud tender waved me over a few minutes later. Of all the people around, I don't know why he selected me but his customer never showed up and he offered to check me out right away. It still took 20 minutes or so to collect everything and get me checked out, but I was so grateful. I gathered my goods and got into the cab line. Just as I was entering the cab, I received a text: We are ready to serve you at register 25.

Lesson learned: FUCK that place! It is a zoo for every tourist in town. If you have time to wait around, fine, but it was not my kinda place. The following day I made it to Curaleaf and had an exceptional experience. Walked right in, got served by an exceptionally knowledgeable bud tender and got home. @HughJundys I am so grateful for that recommendation! Thank you!!

I'll post a Part 2 later, on the Eagles at Sphere, Billy Joel and Sting, and of course- the concentrates!

I tried a handful of offerings, predominately rosins from Medizin and a couple from Trendi.

There is not tremendous selections for hash rosin, but still more variety then I find in Illinois or Montana.
Like many other markets, you must buy without opening the product- no visual or odiferous preview. I don't like buying blind but when in Rome...

Regarding quality, I have found there to be a broad spectrum, even within particular brands. I did gravitate towards Medizin, as they had the most favorable reviews from my research and the popular opinion was reinforced by local bud tenders.

So far with this round, I have found quality and flavor to be closely related to production dates. I jumped on a few sales I could not refuse, and shame on me, did not check how old product was. I unknowingly grabbed a few offerings produced between January and March 2023, and it is irritating they even sell this. Flavor is so muted on these and I question if they had been stored properly or left in a steamy garage for 2 years.

I'll post more when time permits but wanted to share the lesson learned: CHECK PRODUCTION DATES!!
There is a lot of old product on the shelves, ask for the newest drops.
