Lab results for ABV

I've been using ABV in edibles for more than a few years.

I also use trim and/or dry sift, in the same recipes, just not usually all in the same batch.

I supply a bunch of old gits who would definitely complain if they weren't getting wacked, or at least getting their money's worth, lol!

I'm a member of another forum where someone got a hold of one of these. https://purplscientific.com/

He's said he tested his ABV, and it has no appreciable value.

Maybe it's my charming chefery, but I can't believe that these folks I'm supplying, who have been partaking in one form or another for almost 60 years could be hoodwinked by charm alone.

I'm a git myself, and the search thing here doesn't seem to want to give up what I want to know without a fight, and I'm a lover, lol!

So, I'm sure there's been something posted here about what's left in ABV, maybe even with some scientific evidence. I'd appreciate a finger pointing in that direction.

Thanks for any and all help here.

In this five year old study, they used gas chromatography - mass spectrometry tests for "actives," THC and CBD. They started with a known total mass of actives in EU Bedrocan weed sample, weight times known %

Then after vaporiaztion, 1) tested the collected vapor, 2) scraped the device parts and connecting tubes, and 3) tested the ABV, which they refer to as "residue." Each of these three categories are shown as a percent of the original starting actives amount

The "residue" (ABV) leftover actives category was very low, especially with the Solo and Plenty, leaving only 2% of original total goodies left behind in ABV. Doesn't sound worth bothering with to me, but not everyone runs at 210C for three mintues like a lab -- some users don't go all the way. Prudes

I had to look it up, but yup, 210* C is hot. I prefer lower temps. If I can start at 327* and not go past 336* F, I'm in my zone. My ABV was fairly light, until I got my Solo and Air. Now it's pretty toasty, and dark brown. I've got two quart jars full of ABV, and am not sure what I'm going to to with it. Maybe nothing if there is so little left after running through the Solo. I've got butter, tinctures, flour, oil, honey, agave, salve...I just don't go through them, and it seems more wasteful to make something that won't get used in a timely fashion.
I haven't been called a prude before, but I find I don't mind.

I believe that the % of cannabinoids left after vaping depend on a few choices besides which vape:

1. Temp of vape
2. convection / conduction
3. stir or no stir
4. vaping technique
5. stopping point temp or time.

For edibles information I find Grasscity.com to have more, better and more current information.

I'd agree with this. I used to use my ABV, and found it fairly potent. I had a quart jar set aside, but didn't use it. I then bought an Arizer Solo and an Air, and filled another quart jar. It looked pretty toast to dark, so I threw it in compost. I pulled out the older jar to compost as well, and it was much lighter, with flecks of green throughout. The first jar was all from desktop usage. Quite a difference.
