@NickDlow so are you saying with alcohol, whether iso, EC, KX, you will always do no heat and vac purge...or are you saying heat optional, but vac purge all?

I've only used KX, EC, and BHO and I'm not saying it's a must but I personally like to vac purge it all but the BHO I use heat.

IMO I will be vacume purging ALL extracts. I stated before I had a bit of a sizzle with no vac purge, idk if it's air, water, or solvent but a cold (no heat added) vac purge solved it.

Also thanks @farscaper i just ordered 3 cans off their site. They are advertising pure n-butane with no additives. Is that the same BS as 10x refined in others words just a dumb labels?

The n-butane is in "quotations" so I'm thinking its Bologna

@NickDlow I never understood what how the vac purges any solvent. I chose to do qwet since a lot say we dont need to vac purge it. What benefits you feel you get with vac purging qwet? I want to do the best diy concentrates. My only batch I did was bubbleless

I know I'm in a high humidity area so for me it eliminates moisture in the concentrates I believe. I've only been doing this for 3-4 months so I'm no expert but I believe it help... I do kno I can't hurt lol

Hmmm high humidity you say? That's the way it is where I'm from all year round, lol...I might have to invest in cheap vac setup...after I finish designing the Evaporation Chamber...@Puffers, @farscaper, and @2clicker ...just fyi, almost done with a crude diagram which I know will be modifed....hmmm the FC Evap Chamber, exclusively at FC!

Well my next QWKX should be fun with the new ptfe "pad"/film. I'm interested to see the difference in these CS HYDE ptfe products and slick sheet ptfe. I purchased 5 12"x12" or one sq ft, pieces of the ptfe from CS HYDE. Thicknesses are kinda confusing cuz the front page says for example the thickness is 0.100" and when u click it it says 0.001" in anyway I bought 0.001", 0.002", 0.004", and 0.005". I will campare are take pics for u guys. Also Ben from @316twholesale hooked me up with 5 12"x12" 10 micron screens. Hopefully the larger surface area helps for lager extraction. Once this all comes in I'll post pics of the runs n new stuff. Stay tuned

0.005" or 5/1000th's of an inch is the thickness of a sheet of standard copy paper.

@DieHard thanks for the comparison but I'm still unclear if it's 0.5" or 0.005". That a big difference lol half inch vs five thousandths of an inch lol it seems to be advertising both...

A few guys (including grey wolf from skunkpharm) have actual had lab tests performed on most major brands on canned tane to see which had the most residues. While capital came out pretty good the best is supposedly Luciene which is quite a bit cheaper than capital on amazon.

it still tested safe though.... and is n butane where as luciene being mixed...

plus... lets just add if your open blasting... the closed loopers are gonna tell you to distill your butane so there is no residuals.

just saying.. I know alot of pros who choose capital for a reason.

As have I ... however, I feel that residuals out weigh the whole n-butane claim. Personally I am looking for whatever leaves behind the least residue in my final product.

Not that bad. Less than a closed loop system and vac oven anyway. Not something I'm gunna run out and buy, but if it really works to make DIY solventless extracts that people actually enjoy, I can see splitting one.

But I know nothing about what is involved. I'd have to see it in action and the hash it makes.
