Kleen extract

Grrr, broke my two, two quart pyrex measuring cups last night...my stupid, impatient ass; they were stuck together (probably from residual oil), so I started pulling on them and then eventually banging them and bam! Moral, I should've tried a little iso on them.
But, I did manage to evap two pyrex pie plates and will be scraping later, then a gentle re-heat, and the dust/sticky taffy turns to shatter...every time for me, at least with this strain.

Ran a zip last night.
With minimal freezing and two ten minute soaks there was maybe 500 ml of gold liquid.

Still very little green. Computer fan over baking dish overnight... golden goo.

I think I am getting a significantly higher return than with everclear. This is not a lab here but I just got 5.3 raw grams from a zip. A recent run with EC of same weight, same material got 4.1. Both cold extractions.
Kleenxtract is a pleasure to work with. I really like that it evaporates completely without heat.

To be clear, this is for a medicinal oil. Dunno about dabbing it. I do know that KX is cost competitive
with EC and it's 100% ethanol. Try it, you'll like it.

just because it was inhaled doesnt make it non medicinal...

how would you explain inhalers, nebulizers, vaporizers & exc.

and by freezing it you are ensuring you wont collect chlorophyll. if you wish to include chlorophyll leave it room temp or...

if your actually trying to make RSO use some heat and you will ensure maximium medical extraction...

I just think its interesting your using extraction techniques that are geared toward dabbing... yet state your looking for a highly active edible oil correct?

Here is a post from Gray Wolf (the dude from skunkpharm) yesterday on another forum regarding Kleen Xtract ...

"I looked at their MSDS, and all it says is 100% (200 proof) anhydrous ethanol, so I question their claim of a secret formula.

Before using any ethanol more concentrated than the azeotropic ~95.6%, I question how the balance of the water was removed.

If a drying agent was used, which one?

100% doesn't answer questions at the parts per millionth levels.

Has it been lab tested for residuals?

100% alcohol is also highly hygroscopic, so it doesn't stay that pure long in contact with the atmosphere and moisture in the material, even frozen.

That brings us to price, which in these parts is heavily influenced by alcohol taxes. Everclear sells for about three X what I could make it for, buying all the ingredients, and not growing my own corn.

If the Kleen Extract ethanol is salubrious enough for extractions (vacuum distilled to 100%?), then price delivered and "family" would certainly play a major role. We will be paying the taxes either way.

Checking their site, I didn't see prices. What are they charging delivered to the West Coast?"

How much do you need to run say... an oz?
I'm not sure, I'm new to this tek. I ordered a qt. I have not tried it yet. I'm getting some fresh Pineapple Kush on Monday. So I'm gonna try a small run then.

Edit: qt. was about $36 shipped.

That's not really the important part of his post ... someone soon told him that.

With all the new (to me) butane lab testing data that's been put up on his site since I was there last hopefully we'll see some hard data about Kleen Xtract in the near future. Seems strange that KX said in one of his posts something like "really, don't drink it". Everclear is food grade but I guess KX isn't?

I'm personally not super concerned about any of this but reading through this thread and seeing KX's answers to a simple query and Graywolf having the same questions ... I guess I'm just interested to see what process they use to get rid of the ~5% of water.

... its just always bothered me this whole company seems like a dude in his apartment .... im not knocking it or anything... just seems like it should be a little less like bootlegging and more like science??

never trust a fucking salesman!

I will wait for greywolf to get ahold of the stuff... its just nice to see that my concerns were totally warranted and shared by greywolf.

Post a picture damn!!!! I'm starting to think this stuff is fake lol
Hereabouts, online photos can be called 'evidence'.
They are also a pain in IOS, and anything I post is rhetorical and part of a literary fiction.

Evaporation? And if there is a mod anywhere could they figure out how to combine all my answers. Thanks and sorry for the trouble.

Edit to add...misread your post. There was a little h20 pulled here of course.
It evaporated with a fan. Significantly after the KX had gone away.

The past fifty years of inhalation were largely medicinal. The best way to deal with being in the army at the wrong time and place. Time to give the lungs a break.

The runs were tested by heating samples. There was a reference to grow goddess' 90 day no heat decarb.

Dabbing is best done with clean product. Same goes for med oils.

to be fair. I wouldnt want to eat oil with chlorophyll. it has an unpleasant taste to my tongue when extracted and concentrated.

I was only referancing if you "wanted" to include chlorophyll try a room temp extraction.

I had some decarbed reclaim before a picnic... ate just short of a half gram... had me calm as a cucumber...

The chlorophyll thing is because there is abundant anecdotal evidence as to its effectiveness in disrupting
mutant cell replication. Added to the plethora of personal accounts of mmj oil doing the same thing, there is really not much to lose by trying it in the cluster bomb of complimentary treatments going on here along with a conservative conventional approach, because...fuck a bunch of mutating cells. Fuckem right in the pussy.

chlorophyll can easily be obtained via... well anything that grows green... so eat more dark green salads and your going to get the same effect... with bettter flavor.

and really eating as much oil as possible us the key. 1g per day target.

@2clicker you must mean a quarter oz... cause .25g runs seems excessively small ... dollhouse runs!

that also sounds like an amazing band name and a new name for the trotts... er ummm im baked.

UPDATE
Got unexpectedly swamped at work so I haven't been able to comment and get pics up since I haven't been at my desk, hope this includes enough info to hold you guys over until Monday.

Run Notes
  • 14.3g middle-of-the-road bud in, .5g Pristine Golden Shatter (A) & 1.1g Dark Amber Shatter (B+C) out for a return of 11%.
  • Following ratio of 1 cup to 1 oz.
  • Skunk Pharm QWET Guide followed with some minor changes
  • 3 washes 3 minutes each
  • 50 Micron Screen Used
  • Boiled off at ~250f without significant (IMO) terpene loss
Don't let the relatively low yield fool you, even the C batch is significantly stronger than any shatter I've purchased.
