ethanol is a 3min wash... how can this be only 10 secs?

I don't think KX is recommending anything. Didn't he say (about the YouTube video) that they were his favorite customers. Anyway there are no instructions on the bottle or on the website.

Looks like pure acetone would work, lower boiling point than ethanol and works as an azeotrope forming agent.
These are the substances listed to work.
methyl formate, ethyl formate, t-butyl methyl ether, isopropyl ether, methyl isopropyl ketone, 2,2-dimethoxy propane, t-amyl methyl ether, methyl propionate
2,3-butanedione, 1,3-dioxolane, 2-pyrrolidinone, propyl formate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, hexane, cyclopentane, cyclohexane, hexene-1 and 2,4-dimethyl pentane.
of everything on that list 100% pure acetone is very cheap and easy to find.
Plus "Acetone has been studied extensively and is generally recognized to have low acute and chronic toxicity if ingested and/or inhaled - LD50 for human ingestion at 1.159 g/kg; LD50 inhalation by mice is given as 44 g/m3, over 4 hours." Wikipedia

Haha that's great!! I never even thought of that concentrate laced everclear if the meds don't get u that 190 proof will haha
@2clicker the rinse time was just a guess on my part. I was leaning towards the shorter than everclear rinse time. The herb had completely broken down and appeared to be thoroughly extracted, I did not feel bad dumping it. Since I already have some darker sativa essence, I wanted to make sure not to rinse heavy. I will probably try a longer rinse this weekend.

Uh...I'm confused now...isn't that article doing the opposite of what I'm asking? (I should not have read that after doing some yaba-daba's). After doing some light reading, I so far can't find anything really significant on the mixing of 99iso and EtOH...they don't react in any way really, their boiling points are similar, but, if you remember, there were two reasons I was thinking of combining them. The first was to see if the added iso would inhibit the Kleen EtOH from absorbing atmospheric water, either completely or slow it down. Second, I was thinking about them together as solvents; the great benefits that the Kleen EtOH brings in extraction with the added aggressiveness of the 99iso.
Thoughts evryone?
@Terpenoid Acetone...I don't know why, but for some reason I get an uneasy feeling about it...but, you make some valid points. Please discuss further how you would use it with the Kleen and it what amounts.

I don't think you're missing something....I completely agree with you. If Kleen is EtOH and EtOH is used in QWET, then it stands to reason you wash longer than QWISO. If I had Kleen, I would play with wash times; probably like 1 minute to 3 minutes and several points in between.

Yep, we use heat to just speed up the evaporation process...I typically do not let the contents of the dish get above 110-115*F.

I think if I add just a small amount of iso to the Kleen, then I will also change wash time. Example, if I have 10ml of Kleen, I will take 10% of that amount and that's how much iso I will add. I will then reduce the wash time (using "normal" qwet wash times) by around 10% or a little more than that since the iso is more aggressive.
How does that sound?

Wow, just wow. That really needs to be fixed. I wonder if @2clicker is right asking if Kleen will ever show up in here again. I'm going to Grainger tomorrow to pick a couple gallons of 99.8%ISO, so far my runs have been with 91iso. I will order the Kleen too so I can experiment with mixing, but I will do a first ever for me run of 99 this weekend.

I'm making medicinal oil as part of kicking cancer right in the ass.
Double handful manicured buds.
Froze everything. Just covered w/KX. 1st soak and stir was maybe ten minutes. Pale yellow.
2nd soak, dunno cause there was an ethanol time warp. Pour off , pale yellow.
Cranked the tincture press for another 20 minutes. Tablespoon, light green.
Fan evaporation overnite. Blond goo. No heat anywhere in this process.
Before the fan, I poured off 100ml of the cold yellow juice into a beaker and heated gently in water bath. Amber oil.
This am, ate approximately a pin head of the very tasty, heated oil. 20 minutes later, I'm higher than I've ever been and getting higher. Now I've been medicated every day since Vietnam in 1967 starting with the crafty cong chemical warfare and their artfully opiated kush. 47 years later, super tolerance, I basically cant get high anymore. Until now.
Now I was trying for some chlorophyll but didn't get much. Poured everything though 400 mesh screen.
What stayed on top was dead. What came through has put me dick down in the dirt. Left my truck at work and made the helper drive me home so I could get my coma on. Sometimes it's good to be the boss.
There is no way in hell anyone on earth could eat a gram of this a day.
