Which vapes would be suitable for something like that? With the arizerEQ and the firefly I have noticed that kief between a bed of herbs works fine, but the Firefly was actually able to vaporize a small ball of hash without any flowers!With the right vape, straight kief can be a real treat
I was very impressed, and the hit of vape was dense, strong and got my absolutely f***ed.. I was so high that I had to leave the room and re-assess my life's basic principles.

The result was a few sticky oily balls of hash sitting at the bottom of the bowl being turned to small, broken apart crispy black flakes.. Anything that COULD be vapes was surely vaped, and the remaining stuff was just burnt plant matter.
It wasn't bad. Less than ideal, yes, but not bad at all.

get some ethanol or iso and dissolve the keif. then evaporate the alcohol and youve got some great oil.
you can vape straight keif, as long as its not pressed. ive vaped loose keif out of MANY vapes very succesfully.

If there isn't going to be much waste involved, i may try that method of getting the oil.

waste? not sure i follow. you do t have to limit your wash time with keif so just let it soak. everything you want from it you will get. and stuff you dont want can be filtered out. you will end up with less weight, but you are losing "worthless" weight so your still getting what you are after.

I'll do some experimenting and see what is best, either way it will be nice to have some hash on the side for when I want to kick back on the recliner and listen to the pixies

I have put about 8 grams of herb in the pollen box and given it a brutal shaking! After about a minute or two, i've removed all of my herb and opened the bottom section. I slid the glass out, and there seems to be a decent amount of brown dust looking stuff all over it. Is it okay to leave it all there, or should I scrape it all off and collect it elsewhere? I'd like to just keep sifting my weed and adding to the collection, but if it's not an idea place to store tricones then someone chime in so I can start cleaning it out after each pollen sift sesh.
Essentially i'd want to do a clean-out at the end of each month so that there is a substantial amount to collect. What does everyone else do, and how do you scrape it all off the glass? I also struggled with that lol

Ahahaha.. I did have a similar experience in a share house a few years ago where one of the house's occupants dealt some very nice mdma powder. We lived like kings for a little bit..
This isn't my video, but this is an example of how to easily harvest your kief.
You must not have ever been a fan of coke (good for you!) as the method seemed obvious to me thanks to living in a fraternity house in Los Angeles in the 1980's.

I don't use a kief box myself. I just collect it from the bottom of my 4-pc grinder these days. I personally don't like the idea of de-kiefing my meds as it's just robbing Peter (my current stash) to pay Paul (kief collected for later consumption).
I like kief as much as the next guy, but find it easier to just leave it on the stash for immediate use and just collect the small amount that falls through my grinder. YMMV.

Any semi rigid credit card will 'work in a pinch', as said, but you have to scrap at an angle with the bottom towards you... but I don't like the chance of plastic getting in the goodies as the cards do wear. However, get yourself a new one edged razor blade (provided your scraping surface is actually 'glass).. ISO it and dry well (to remove the factory oils), and have at it (again, scrape at an angle towards you), and it will catch everything perfectly.
I like to immediately scrape up and jar it in one of my 'Classic JyArz' to prevent both humidity and premature oxidation. But I sift with a 10x10 and do an Oz at a time with gently hand broken buds (broken 2 days before and left on screen in a dark & dry area to 'extra' dry to sift), and only smooth sift the box as opposed to shaking the hell out of it, as well as occasionally light scrape the screen with my blade (stainless steel screen in mine). Sure it's time consuming, but I end up with 3 different grades in the end.. the 3rd sift done the next day after letting dry again some more, and further breaking down whats left of the buds. I can then keep the sifted bud and get any remaining goodness with either an everclear gentle wash, or a butane soak (preferred).
Dry sifting can be an 'art' of good return and provide relaxation in the process... if you 'want' it to be.

Nice, thanks for the first-hand account. I'm glad it's safe to just leave it there on the glass. I'll most likely leave it until there is enough to stick into my kief-press to make little bricksFor me it's something I scrape up and vape when dry of flowers. I try not to pay any attention to it until then, so it's always a pleasant "surprise". This is also when I clean my tools and make my edibles
Just so you know, those little bricks do not vape as well as loose kief IME. Great for smoking though..... if you're into that sort of thing.

Will be for selling/sharing with friends who still combust, and for the occassional cigarette I have. When I do have a bi-monthly smoke I like to make sure there is less stimulant and more relaxantJust so you know, those little bricks do not vape as well as loose kief IME. Great for smoking though..... if you're into that sort of thing.
I'll find a nice use for them. My firefly doesn't do too bad with vaping pressed kief but there are better options for getting the desired effect from it.
