Kidney Disease and Cannabis

I'm not sure about lowering blood sugars but mine tend to run high. I'm not that good at managing them. But my A1c has come down quite a bit since I began vaping and I haven't really changed my eating. I use the same insulin amount but wake up around 4 and need to eat something small. My blood sugars are just a bit low at that time. But for years I never had lows- just highs.

Well, my GP finally referred me to a specialist, and now the rounds of testing begin. Got a catheter in the office today, and blood was in my urine. Never a good sign I'm told. I go for a CT tomorrow, and two more tests in the next two weeks. They aren't fucking around. I just want them to help me.

My kidney function is just not what it should be. I'm following what the Urologist is telling me to do, and he put me on a new expensive medication that has no generic. I actually go see him tomorrow! Thanks for thinking about me. :)

@Vicki I get problems with my kidneys when using anti inflammatories. When I'm on them I have stage 3 kidney disease when I'm off of them I have no problems. I was told because of all the years of being on Ibuprofen weakened my kidneys. There are several medications that I cannot take. So therefore I take cannabis for what ails me.

I have never heard anywhere that cannabis is bad for your kidneys. It may not be good to smoke it.

NSAIDS are hell on kidneys (and as many people are discovering Prilosec/Nexium can be as well).

I was able to make a significant change in my Dad's kidney function and they gave him some bad meds and left him with barely 15%, he's since improved to well over 35% (and his other related numbers improved too). (I was also managing his water intake and had mixed a little bit of Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with each glass he drank).

It depends if her kidneys are truly diseased or if they are healthy and its just the micro-tubules that are blocked thus keeping the blood out. Big difference.
could you please elaborate? been awhile since i studied renal failure but don't know anything about microtubules being blocked

could you please elaborate?
I heard this from a doctor doing an interview, I am NOT a doctor, so if you want to learn more please do your own research.

What I thought he said was that the kidneys contain micro-tubules that the blood must pass through. If those tubes are blocked then blood cannot pass through the kidney and will not be cleansed. There are also other disease processes which can render a kidney unhealthy. Treating these things, he said, is different.

That is all I know. PERIOD. Again I am NOT a doctor and I would NEVER give medical advice to anyone, anywhere, anytime. ALWAYS consult your physician.

If you do juice an organic watermelon (couldn't hurt, right?), remember to get as much of the white part of the rind into it as possible, because that's the most medicinal part of the watermelon in this context.

@Vicki Hi, I've been reading this entire thread and hope you've been able to make some improvements in the kidney function. Hope your feeling better. Critical health issues are the worst. It can be so hard to feel like you have any quality of life. Bless you MMJ.

Thank you so much. I have had some improvement, but I wish it were better. The Urologist recently put me on a new drug. I reacted terribly to it. I was deathly sick for a week and a half. I'm off it now, and feeling better, though. :)
