I just feel if I do that it will just push through the shatter and make it soft and more sticky. I'm guessing its the only way its gonna come out anyway.
Are you supposed to put shatter in the chico???

I am not sure if I have Chico or satchmo (the fat and wide one). Spoutti showed a picture where he puts a bunch of concentrates all on parchment paper (like you get from dispensaries) and loads up the jyarz. He also puts it in a tiny fridge or cooling device to make it easier to work with. I do the same without fridge.
Edit:so the actual concentrate never touches the glass. The only reason I use it like this is I pick up from dispensaries and they have it nicely packed in a paper envelope with a small plastic zip lock bag that holds the concentrates on parchment paper. I just take it out of the plastic bag and put it in my satchmo/Chico.

Yeah. I think I made a mistake taking it out of the wax paper.

@h3rbalist have you tried sticking it in the fridge for a bit and then seeing if it will lift off?

Yup, shatter is fine, but you can chill it to get it to solidify again and release.
Or, you can warm, and use the spatula type dabber, and smoosh it up.
Crumble has been the best, honey oil works fine, shatter can get a little clingy in there. I currently have some BHO-infused hash/kief stuff in one, and it's keeping a great consistency and isn't sticking...

Few weeks later of a gasket change , i can say the bad odor is gone, thanks Aldo one more time!

So I joined the Jayrz club a few weeks ago and have been storing a gram of shatter in my beautiful orange chico.
The thing is its kind of melted (but still rock hard) and stuck to the base. Now I know its curved but I'm having a real problem getting the last 1/4 gram out. I'm using my titanium dabber to try and chip and pry away bits but I feel I may break the glass or flick pieces of shatter all over the shop.
I just feel as a complete newbie with concentrates that I'm doing something wrong.
I'm not a shatter guy but I can say that the glass is borosilicate so it can be heated (cool it down before returning it to it's "home" though). Could that work? I'll let those more knowledgeable on the subject chime in.

Hey everyone !
Well I got recommended Jyarz from the Arizer Air thread..... me and a friend have thought of this, and it was great to see it. So stoked it's made all in USA.
There was a small problem with my order, and, to apologize, Jyarz.com sent me 2 extra of the one classic Jyarz (black) I bought !!! Soooo happy with THREE Classic Jyarz. You guys are AWESOME.
Here's a pic of what I got for anyone who hasn't already gone to the site:
They are UV-Proof, Shatter-Proof, USA-Made, Smell-Proof, Water-Proof, Air-tight, and visually low profile. I love how easily the glass jar slides out of the container. So yeah basically the glass jar slides into the 100% BPA/Phhalate-free plastic container.

I'm gonna get a Satchmo next then mebbe a Chico, not sure. Pretty attached to my platinum-cured silicone for my concentrates. I suppose the Air-Proof part is cool, but, if I'm going to use parchment paper to insert it anyway, might as well use a Classic. However I do like the style of the Chico !
Big thanks to whoever recommended it on that Air thread. I'm enjoying mine immensely. Gave one to friend, kept one for ground up cannabis and one for the AVB/ABV it makes ! Love 'em !

My ABV collects just until I can throw it out, so I don't give mine the Royal treatment of living in Jayrz, but anything still containing actives gets it. My goods get put in Jayrz immediately on arrival and stay there until consumed. Sometimes when I am REALLY high my goods tell me how much they like the treatment they get...

Instead of tossing it, you should try to infuse it for edibles. I'm using a cheap Moka Pot and am infusing coconut oil for baking cookies. Very simple process and it takes about 10 minutes per 1/2 cup yield. 1 or 2 cookies, and hour or two later, and I'm having a heavy couchlock high that works great for my insomnia.
If interested, read the thread I linked and try it out. I've collected about 60 grams of ABV in the past year, and I am using about 10 grams per 1 cup yield of the infused coconut oil.
And no, I don't keep my ABV in a Jyarz. They don't make one big enough.

I try to get as much out of my MJ as I can while vaping which leaves them a light to dark coffee color, depending on which vape I am using. I must have a couple oz of ABV sitting in the old pill bottles I no longer use for active goods. I suppose I should try it sometime just to be sure they are useless, being the "thrifty" kind of guy I am...

@cybrguy a good test to see if your ABV is worth it: Mix 1 tablespoon ABV with 1 tablespoon (or more) peanut butter. Ingest it (on a cracker, sandwich, etc. (it doesn't taste as bad as you'd think)). If that gives off an effect within an hour or two, then there are still actives in it.
Regarding your moka pot, it just has to act like a traditional espresso maker. That one would probably work, but I can't tell without looking at the internals. The one I posted in the other thread works and is a bit cheaper.

Depends on the density, if its pretty dense (small) then it might fit with little room but if its not dense you would have to kind of pack it in there. I usually use them for unground and grounded teenths myself

Yeah, I think @olivianewtonjohn is right, it depends on the density of the flowers. I've squezzed an eighth of bud into a classic, but it was kind of tight with no room to spare. I typically keep my buds in glass jars and I usually grind about 1g to 2g and transfer to my Jyarz container. I like to keep my stash fresh and fragrant, that's why I only grind enough to last a few days or so.
