All I can say is
This started in 1998 with a fraudulent article that was published in a medical journal. It stated that the MMR vaccine, in particular, was causing autism. Because of it, 100's of people didn't get their children immunized and it has started a 'rebirth' of measles.so what actually started this trend? last few weeks I'm hearing a lot about it, but I would imagine this movement existed longer? why now the spotlight?
here in the netherlands we also have some people like that who refuse to vaccinate their children, but they're the deep-religious kind, living in the bible belt and wearing black socks, but I have never heard any autism aruments from them, just the religious reason. there also was an outbreak of some contagious desease a while ago in the bibble belt, among kids, one ofd those deseases that every kid usually gets vaccinated against.
but luckily all our crazies chose to live together in the bible-belt, so outside the biblebelt we can still enjoy herd immunity. and there are bigger issues with those nuts than vaccination, for example our most extreme religious politiocal party only recently(last year or so) allowed women to hold any official position in their party, and that was only because they were forced by the law.
Glad you liked it.That was very good.
Should be mandatory viewing for all parents.
Glad you liked it.
Its pretty much like evolution at this point. What is taught to 18 yr olds in college is a "controversy". The science behind immunization is very basic and is taught in general immunology courses. I have seen people discussing vaccines and how they dont want to get them for their children yet have no understanding of herd immunity (immunology 101-fundamental to this discussion), its sad really.
