it shot sparks. the ground leg looked worse for wear. i thought i saw the atomizer crack but on inspection the next day I cant find it.

I think the atomizer itself was handling it find. The that leg mounting is just bad. it fired again half rebuilt but i ended up breaking the negative leg off fataguing it too much.

This atomizer would fit on a cub or V5 base. I wish these were on some proper RBA base.

I was seriously enjoying this. Considering ordering another heater and try to not be stupid with it. Still not a fan of how that ground connects tho.

Hey thanks for posting this pic, I initially was hesitant on this design because i thought the cup was going to be seated in that base with some sort of "product" or glue, (like the stuff used in the first "motar" atomizer, if you know, you know) but it appears to just be a friction fit, is that right?
Or was this shmoo you mentioned exactly that? Or were you just refering to some manufacturing oils/residue that seem to be pretty common in these type of devices?
