I used that jar of infused Everclear a month or two ago. I got impatient.
Plus, I got rather sick for several days, and I really needed to sleep. A couple shots of that worked lovely.
One day I took 4-shots of it over about an hour at home, around 8pm...and a couple hours later I was starting to get worried I was going to be too fucked up to go to work in 10-hours as I began to get closer to the peak of the high. I was fine in the morning, but gat-damn, that was an uplifting and lovely night!
I will definitely make more...and no need to reduce, as the 180-proof alcohol buzz mingles very nicely with the cannabinoid high.
I have been keeping a mason jar of Everclear/151 proof that I put my glass in to soak/clean. After a couple days I take the glass out using a metal claw, use a beaker brush on the glass to loosen the harder stuff and then give it one more rinse in the Everclear. Glass comes out sparkling.
The result is a very dark brown liquid with tiny pieces of cannabis plant matter floating around.
Been doing the above for awhile and can hardly see through the mason jar anymore.
My questions are:
- I'm thinking of straining the liquid to remove the plant matter. Anyone tried to strain this stuff using a coffee filter or cheesecloth?
- Once its strained I was thinking of:
--> Option 1: Using the resulting liquid to mix with cranberry juice to drink it like a vodka and cranberry *OR*
--> Option 2: Making a tincture by letting the liquid evaporate for a bit *OR*
--> Option 3: Letting it evaporate until there is no liquid left and vape it.
Which of the options would you choose and why? I'm taking a pass on using it for edibles because I'm a lazy so and so.
Any other comments/suggestions?
Each night I enjoy a vodka and cranberry so evaporating the Everclear sounds like blasphemy to me but I've never tried this before so maybe you folks have a reason why I might want to try other options.
