I have this crock pot that I want to use to extract and infuse coconut oil. It only has a warm or cook setting. Will it get to the right temperature on the cook setting?

breathemetal, thank you for replying. but there is no Low setting, just keep warm. I'm afraid that won't be hot enough. can anyone else chime in?

But I like it!
This appears to be a rice cooker. I picked up one that looked like this. Does is have a spring-loaded metal heating base that compresses when you put the cooking pot on top? If yes then I'd suggest finding another pot. Thsee ones tend to cook pretty violently, and you don't want that.
You can always use the stove - a very light simmer for an hour or 6, depending on your recipe. I decarbed 50 grams last night, mostly for butter but will try some ever clear wash on some of it...

You could possibly use your rice cooker as the bottom half of an improvised double boiler? Google "how to make a double boiler"...
