Is it bad to pour the bowl of ISO back into the bottle after using it for cleaning and soaking the screen & mouthpiece in it? Seems like quite a bit of ISO would go to waste throwing it out after each cleaning.

Does pouring it back in contaminate the rest of the ISO in a significant way?

I have known people to reuse the ISO until it turns very black. The people I have known that have done this, store the used ISO in a different bottle than the clean ISO.

If all you use your ISO for is cleaning the Pax, I don't see any harm in putting it back in with the clean. I use ISO for cleaning things like my electric razor heads, so I would use a separate bottle if I were to reuse it myself.

I usually stock up on ISO when it is on sale at my favorite store. It's cheap enough for me that I usually toss it after use. The people I know that reclaim it, do use it until it is very black and then they evaporate the ISO off and always get a good amount of ISO hash/oil for their efforts.

I keep a small container of ISO that I use to soak screens and small pieces. I top it up if needed and when it gets pretty dark, I pour it through an unbleached coffee filter into a Pyrex dish to evaporate, and start over. After I've done this a few times the dish contains a nice but extremely sticky layer of what I call ISO-goo. This stuff isn't the tastiest but it isn't too bad, and it's highly potent. It's important to filter it if you do this. You also must be patient and wait until the ISO is completely gone, which takes several days.

Once your ISO has been used, it contains some dissolved resin. Anything you "clean" with it must be wiped immediately because ISO evaporates quickly and will leave behind some resin, although generally not enough to be a problem.

70% ISO does just fine for cleaning, despite the popular idea that you should use 91% or even search for 99%, and 70% is cheap, so I see no reason to worry about saving it for another round of cleaning. OTOH, reclaiming what's been cleaned off.....

Also that final paragraph is important information! I've encountered more than one sticky situation as a result of using reclaim ISO to clean vapes!

The 70% at my local store isn't just ISO and water, so that may play a part in people's decisions. Pretty cheap here though for 91%

I just used ISO to clean up after a harvest. I have rubbed butter and then rinsed in the past. I am new to vaping and using ISO to reclaim (February). I used iso and splashed onto dinner plate and I got pineapple hash (was P Express). So tasty (thanks Enano)

i use 1 bottle of iso for well over a year before i am done cleaning with it.

i actually have 3 bottles on the go. one for oil reclaim cleaning, one for vapor cleaning, and one for commbusted shit.

re use that iso. it still has cleaning power in it even if it looks dirty.

the 2 bottles of vapor recalim iso i will eventually evap and get some nice oil from! that shit is free, and awesome!
