I believe that this is just one prong of the governments clamp-down. They've taken over the narrative, and possibly set back legalization, if we can't counter with a better narrative, and get the people to turn them back.

I sent the IRS a letter asking them to take a stand for the people, and tell our Shadowy Overlords to back off, since they're already paying thier taxes, and it's for a good cause voted in by the people. they haven't gotten back to me on what they'll do, but I think they're hands are tied by ...our Shadowy Overloads.
